Family / Re: #DowenCollege: Bad Parenting Vs Bad School Training. Which Is To Blame? by kingbybirth: 3:52pm On Dec 05, 2021
MMotimo:
“School training “ should not be a thing. This is where a lot of people get it wrong, especially with Naija boarding schools. Training a child is first and foremost a parental responsibility. It is not the duty of the school, neighbours, society, other family members, etc.

The same people that are not ready to train their kids are the same ones that want to birth 4,5,6. . . . . If you are not ready to train your kids in the ways of right and wrong, do society a favour and don’t have them.

Training kids takes time and effort, not just money. If pursuing money means you can’t raise your kids right, then don’t have them! If you’re not pursuing money but you just don’t have the inclination/ability to train your children, don’t have them just so that you can unleash them on society. Only God knows how Nairaland’s child rape convict, Oyinbogoju/Powerhouse5050 was raised.

I just saw a thread, someone was asking whether to do food business or yahoo. That tells you that there is something fundamentally wrong with his upbringing. This is someone who seriously thinks criminal activity is a valid money making business, to the extent of seeking public opinion about choosing between a legitimate and illegitimate venture.
Yes parents of the boy's killers share a portion of the blame but majority of it should go to the school for outright negligence and failure to protect wards kept in their care. Trust me most of these kids left their home as innocent children. Schools, especially boarding school can mess with a child and turn them into monsters. Even the most moraled child can be corrupted by peer pressure.

Yes, my mom is dead...

Here’s news for your ignorant self - everyone dies, including YOUR OWN MOM AND YOURSELF!!

But my dead mom raised me BETTER than to talk trash of people whose circumstances I know nothing about in a public forum.

Obviously, you were raised in a GUTTER with no values, compounded by obvious ILLITERACY.

From your comments, I will assume you have no idea how government works. So you are saying that Nigerian government is only interested in making profit without regard to the welfare of citizens?
Why then did CBN waive the requirement for guarantors?
Whether or not the CBN recover the money is not your business and nobody here knows the criteria for selecting the beneficiaries. Even you that feels because you have a job therefore you are entitled to the relief fund, how sure are you to get it?
The whole essence of this loan is to support Nigerians who are going through difficulties because of covid 19. Those that lost their jobs are free to apply and most of them will get it.

I have been approved and I'm currently awaiting disbursement. I'm saying this because I applied same time with my neighbor for household, he selected unemployed, he wasn't selected for the loan. that could be the deciding factor.
think about it, if this loan is genuinely to support citizens then CBN have no justification collecting interest.
the guarantors was waived because the conditions stated was not realistic, even my own father won't sign that guarantor for me not to talk of a level 15 civil servants or whatever was stated there. like I said if you had seen the guarantor form and what was stipulated within you will understand my point of view.

This fund is covid 19 relief fund. People lost their jobs due to the pandemic and for such persons, getting the loan will help them set up businesses to cushion the effect of their job loss. Do you expect them to lie that they are still employed even though they already loss their jobs? And how do you expect them to survive without a job and no money to set up business?
Social investments like this will always cater for every category whether employed or unemployed.
Even those that claim to be employed, do you think CBN will call their employers to confirm their employment status? Govt is different from capitalist. What you are saying would make sense if the money is given by commercial banks.

who would give a loan to an unemployed person? whether government or commercial organisation, CBN is giving this loan not as free will grant. they are also out to get their money back and make profit, so what is the different with capitalist? if you actually see the condition given for the guarantors you will understand that this money is never free and they are out to get it back no matter what.

If you're yet to be credited or the loan was sent to NIRSAL account, I will advice that you go to the nearest branch. They will collect your details and ask you to be expecting the alert at least it is better than just waiting without any word.

Thanks

Nothing of such is happening. I was at their Ikeja branch yesterday and I was told I only need nirsal account to pay back the loan that I should exercise patience.

Am suggesting those of us on the alert waiting list that used the back link to input our account details to go back to the SMS link to re - input our account details , because it seems they have work on their web page, when you input your BVN it takes you straight to Pop up Bank details and your name. To avoid endless waiting.
it's still showing the same thing.

You don't need to disturb yourself brother....

Start making and shooting clips and organise short stories movies and have it on a YouTube channel and Instagram.... Also, don't forget tiktok and liked....

From there, you'll be called for a job...

Always enjoy that you keep pushing your clips everytime or everyday to have the internet space push your products to the people... especially if your niche is unique and your quality is standard....

By the way, I want to go fully into video editing....

Thanks bro... Well said.

Done exactly as you said and it took me to the agreement page, i checked the box at the bottom of the agreement and clicked accept, but instead of moving to the next page to input account details, it returned me back again to the agreement page and kept going in circle like that without been able to move to the next stage... Any further advice...? Thank a lot...
It's supposed to take you to the next page to fill in your account details. Try it again.
