Thanks let me go and collect my.
Yes...as long as it's not DIY, lost case/reissuance, change of name case then you are good to go....just trying to save you the trouble

Not true chief.

I captured March 23rd, as at August 28th my passport never comot. My guy captured March 15th, him too never get him passport.
My advice is, if you don't have urgent need for your passport then you can just be patient, but if you do have urgent need for it then you have to push hard even if it involves fast tracking...that was how I was able to get mine (lost case) because they have not started touching lost cases and change of name yet

I think you are the one given wrong information here, as I just leave Festac office.
Nothing is wrong with the file, after I met with 2/I/c he told me that no Servicom file has been produce, that if I am willing to pay for fast track.

I left his office and straight to PCO office, his SA attended to me, give me a note to take to servicecom and my file was given to me to take back to the PCO office.

Stop spreading information you are not 100% sure of.

Omo na so oo! You gats push harder and pray if you want result....me I done finally free from this their wahala

BRO SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR FILE
BECAUSE ALL FILES INCLUDING DIY FOR MARCH ARE ALL OUT AND STOP MISLEADING YOURSELF.
This information is misleading. I am currently at the Festac office and was told they are yet to finish with March for those that are DIY.
The marching order given by the PCO seem to affect only those people who captured using agents. I was told they are currently clearing those of JUNE applicants but it is strictly those who did via various contacts.
I have been waiting to be allowed to see the PCO but those who can grant access will frustrate you and direct you to his minions who will insist there is nothing they can do and you should just wait.
One of the officers I spoke to said I should check back first week October.
Featac office is a total mess.
The PCO is a good man from all account but they will not allow you see him.

For now they are focusing on applications done via officers, but also touching DIY applications....as for lost case and change of name case they are yet to touch on those cases for now, but heard very soon they will start touching those cases....what I applied for was lost/reissuance, so had to push harder and now I've collected mine. If not person for still dey wait

I heard they are in April, soon be in May.
I also heard from an immigration officer today that they are in May now...seems like it's in line with your update, I would have gone there to check to know the status but my place is really far...I will wait a bit then reconfirm from another source before I head there.

Fast tracking still works big time. I met someone who captured 2 weeks ago. Guess what? His passport is ready but I captured in March and mine is not ready. This country na wa oooo.
I am not surprised, there re ways they go about it... When you capture they won't submit your file in, because if dey do it will be moved to the PCO's office and once it gets there they can't do anything about it. So the files they don't submit will be sneaked in and worked on... That's like back yard runs within the office.

Okay so I went to Festac office today and AA was boldly written on my paper. I was told it is not ready yet. I captured March 23rd.

I will just have to give them a month before going there again. September 28th it is then.
Could it be because it's DIY or they just haven't gotten to 23rd yet.... Anyway, if you don't need it urgently you can just wait till ending of September.

PNA could also mean produced but not approved for collection.
Possible
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Kingflo300: 8:23am On Aug 25, 2023
muhyideenabdul:

I doubt that. There is no need for fingerprint for collection even your agent can collect it on your behalf
Probably that was before, but now theres a new system in place that requires it.
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Kingflo300: 8:21am On Aug 25, 2023
ekitimanalways:

It will have been produced in 3 or 4 weeks time, but not activated. Activation is done on the day of collection. Passport applicants' fingerprints will be collected to activate the passports.
Yea I know of the activation during collection, but I think theres another activation or something right after PNA before you can come for collection.... because if you go there and check the status and they say it's in the PNA stage, the next thing they tell you is to come back in a week or 2.
I don't know, i think PNA means produced but not activated... There's a chance there are 2 types or parts of activation, the one they will do by themselves and the one that requires the applicants presence like finger prints and so on

From immigration officer in servicom office,Festac.
Wow...if it is true then that means they are focusing more on production than activating the ones produced which is also a good thing, because after production what's next is just activation which doesn't require any material that can go scarce.
Well let's hope that information is true, then it's just to give them 3 weeks before going for collection.

I was told they are currently working on passports of those who captured in March.

I captured April 14th
Not to worry, you are not alone here
Just be patient a little and hopeful, like 3 - 4 weeks from now it should have either entered PNA or fully produced/activated and ready for pickup.

Have you been to Festac office lately, like this week? It's possible yours has entered PNA, just give them around 2 weeks and check back on them.

ALL FEBRUARY PASSPORT ARE READY AT FESTAC OFFICE, NOTE- JUST GO STRAIGHT TO YOUR PLUG. THE OFFICERS WILL LIE TO YOU THAT YOUR FILE IS MISSING E.T.C JUST TO GET MONEY FROM YOU. YOU WILL BELIEVE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE NOW PRODUCING MARCH MEANWHILE YOUR PASSPORT IS ALREADY PRODUCED BUT NOT ACTIVATED (PNA). IF YOU ARE A DIY GO STRAIGHT TO SERVICOM, IF SERVICOM TOLD YOU YOUR FILE GAT ISSUES E.T.C JUST GO STRAIGHT TO THE NEW PCO AND TELL HIM. BECAUSE THE THEN PCO AND SOME SENIOR OFFICER WERE ARRESTED BECAUSE OF FRAUD, THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE NEW PCO AND NEW OFFICERS. MY PASSPORT IS PRODUCED BUT NOT ACTIVATED(PNA). SO I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK IN TWO WEEKS BUT I CAN GET IT ACTIVATED IN A MINUTE WITH JUST 2K BUT NEVER AM STICKING TO PIT-OBI MOTTO. I NO DEY GIVE SHI SHI. I WILL WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK OR I GO TO COURT...
Lol, mine is not DIY and i captured April 14... just hopeful they will get to April soonest

Which is better btw diy or with agent cos I don't want stress much
If you have the money and will need the passport asap then go through an officer, the only down side is that there's no guarantee you will get it in time, but is better than the DIY because they won't pay much attention to you. If you are not in a hurry and won't make use of it till a year time then go for DIY, But if urgent the I will suggest attempting fast track

what of the one in akowonjo side?
It's starting to get crowded, but is far better than ikoyi, Ikeja and Festac for now. Except one of these other offices have a new PCO that is all about clearing up all backlogs. For now I would say akowonjo, don't know if they have decided to join the chorus o

This is hilarious for a giant state like Lagos delaying the process. Imagine since February the passports are not ready not to mention March, April, May, June and July.
No matter the high number of applicants it shouldn't be that worse.
Its just frustrating, they claim theres booklet shortage due to high exchange rate...meaning no money to pay for the booklet as it's produced outside Nigeria or by an international body
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Kingflo300: 7:36am On Aug 08, 2023
I contacted someone to find out if the Festac new PCO accepts fast tracking but the person said no, that he is focusing on clearing up the backlogs, which is also a very good thing, the person said they are rounding up February and entering March and that I should be patient that he will get to April soon as he is not allowing Fast tracking. I don't know how true this is but please anyone that has plan to go to Festac should find out.

Last I checked they were rounding up January, so I believe they are in February now... I don't know if this new PCO accepts fast tracking, it will really help a lot of people if he does.

Hello, I don't have any clue on international passport before, but I just registered now but haven't made payment....is there any money aside of 25k I saw at their website? Is capturing required some amount of money?
Not sure, but it will be best to have some extra funds with you just in case.

I heard that alausa uses alphabetic order for passport collection, like surnames that start with certain letters like A, should come for collection on Mondays alone.
I don't know if Festac also make use of such pattern or not, because I would like to go check if mine is out
