Brother, I believe in finding peace wherever I am, and for now, am in Nigeria, why not I solicit for peaceful coexistence? Don't get me wrong, it's not like I do not support our plight but until our Biafran dream is achieved, am a Nigerian. If eventually we have our country, I will move down to the SE and go hustle like my brothers over there.

Now back to the matter of peace, should I hate Yemi when I know that Tobi had impacted my life in the past? No. A good example is back when I gained admission into ABU. Before my admission, I had a very terrible secondary school background but guess the people that helped bail me out, Tunde Oyebade, Sheye Oriolowo (a girl), Ephraim Bernard (although this one is not Yoruba), etc. I struggled during my first year and because of these great men and woman I mentioned, I was able to scale thru 100L without C/O in a school where the best students often end up having one or more C/Os. A course I never did in secondary school became my best course (Eng drawing) in Uni because of Tunde. He didn't really spend time teaching me the course per say because he just provided little explanation for me before, I studied it on my own and had him go thru my exercises which I always did perfectly well. He also helped me understand other courses.

Sheye and Ephraim were like my mathematical messiahs because when the chips were down, it was them I ran to. No matter how busy they were, they never turned me down because of my humility and zeal. These people helped me stand and later on in my department, I started making GPs which were sometimes better than theirs (they were in other depts) or within the same range. I eventually topped my department from 200L 2nd semester till graduation and later taught several people back then in school and I enjoyed giving back what I got from people.

Although Sheye showed signs of some sort about the kind of preachings she must have received from people about how bad Igbos were, I remembered cautioning her and then she stopped making such jokes with me while our friendship continued.

So that some Yoruba people hates Igbos will not make me hate Yoruba people back. The best I can do is cohabit peacefully while looking for means to make ends meet. The best thing is not to hate back if one feels hated, it is for one to channel one's energy in being productive than throwing around insulting words here. I've been tempted a few times to go tribal but later realize that there is no gain in it. When I look back and recall Tunde, Sheye and my fellow online warriors such as HzRF, Firefire, horlabiyi, tit, anyaekekehinde and the romance section chair Kinglekan, I have no choice but to love Yoruba people more.. Truly, not everyone can be Jagaban's årse-licker..
