That is what you see when you are invited to the national team on a platter of gold without club performance.

when the one we rolled a red carpet for didn't come why won't he get it on a platter

A good number our players were playing in the creme de La creme of Europes top leagues.

Yekini was top goal scorer in the Portuguese league.

Amokachi was tearing it up in Belguim, Finidi, Kanu, Oliseh were Ajax products to mention a few.

so which players are tearing the top leagues in Europe that are yet to be invited in the SE

We need names to substitute for the current players and not just saying the present players are cutting it without giving us alternatives

He said , “Ma , if you look at what was appropriated and what was released , especially in the area of capital , it is always about 22 to 23 per cent , which means that if we needed to buy two vehicles and the release could only buy one, we needed to seek relief in the next budget .

7 reasons why Nigeria was sanctioned

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Was Sanctioned For Fielding An Ineligible Player In The Match Between Algeria And Nigeria On 10 November 2017 World Cup Qualifier.

Reasons Why Nigeria Was Sanctioned In The World Cup Qualifier

1. ABDULAHI SHEHU got yellow card right from first match (preliminary rounds) of the qualifiers against Swaziland in Swaziland.

2. When the draws for group stage were made the technical staff assumed the cards from preliminaries would not count going forward and didn’t take proper records. Indeed throughout the qualifying series Adullahi Shehu has never been counted as being on yellow even by the match documents such as when we played Cameroon Mikel, Moses and Balogun were all put on notice they are on a yellow and so there was even a meeting before the game how to make their yellow cards so as not to miss the decisive next match but Abdullahi Shehu was never in the mix…

3. Abdullahi got yellow card from the penultimate match against Zambia which is two years since the first match where he got the first Yellow (note we played the preliminary rounds against Swaziland in November 2015 under Sunder Oliseh and played the Zambia match in November 2017).

4. FIFA sent notice after the match against Zambia that Shehu is suspended for Algeria match but sent the email directly to the technical officer in charge, whom incidentally was hospitalized at that period with a serious heart problem so was not on emails and couldn’t have seen it.

5. On match day against Algeria neither the match Commissioner was aware nor the away team and ABDULAHI played the match without any protest or notice from either side.

6. Algerian never protested as they too are not aware but FIFA sent NFF a query to ask why the player played. NFF duly responded with proofs that the notice was sent to an email account of a technical staff that was Hospitalized with proofs. The FIFA disciplinary committee met and decided since previous emails has always been sent to same account and were taking so the notice is valid and sanctioned Nigeria..

7. Yes it’s a really a bad mistake but thank God it’s not costly and NFF is already reorganizing the Technical and Competitions departments to ensure this horrendous mistake never happened again, as this mistake is clearly the lack of delingence of the Technical department and the Competitions departments…

isn't the mail used in communicating the official mail of the NFF? if it is, then whether the person is hospitalized or not another person can still view the mail from time to time

But where the mail isn't the official mailing address of the nff then I think the fault is partly from fifa then

Everton's Lookman vows to seize opportunity vs. Liverpool play

https://i2-prod.liverpoolecho.co.uk/incoming/article12561728.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/JS110911584.jpg

Ademola Lookman has assured new Everton boss Sam Allardyce he is ready to seize any opportunity afforded him ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby.

The 20-year-old winger staked his claim to be involved against Liverpool with a first-half brace in Cyprus on Thursday night, when a Toffees team led by Craig Shakespeare and Duncan Ferguson beat Apollon Limassol 3-0.

A long-standing medical appointment meant Allardyce had remained at home along with the bulk of the squad he will take to Anfield, but Lookman's impressive performance will have given him some food for thought over his possible role.

Lookman's double in Nicosia, the second of which was a sweet strike from distance, has imbued him with confidence prior to Everton's attempt to secure a first victory at Liverpool's ground since 1999.

"I believe in my ability; I know what I can do,'' said Lookman.

"It's always good to play and enjoy your football and I did that on Thursday, hopefully it showed.

"[The Liverpool game] is out of my control. I can only do what I do on the football pitch. Once I get my opportunity I will take it.''

It was the first time Lookman had scored for Everton since he netted four minutes into his debut 11 months earlier in a 4-0 win over Manchester City at Goodison Park.

Since then he has become a World Cup winner, as part of the victorious England Under-20s squad, with two of his colleagues in South Korea, Lewis Cook and Dominic Solanke, having recently received senior call-ups from Gareth Southgate.

Lookman harbours aspirations of doing likewise and is confident he can fulfil his potential having joined the Toffees from Charlton nearly a year ago.

"I have played with them for a couple of years and to see them doing that is nice; they deserve it,'' Lookman added of Cook and Solanke's senior recognition. "I don't see why I can't follow in their footsteps.

"It is a big club, Everton, and I am still learning, still young. With time I think everything will come.''

Is he indirectly saying he's waiting for England call up with the bolded?

forgiveness:
Initially, it was to build a team but now Pinnick wants the 2018 WC trophy in our cabinet.

As we can see, we are in for a greater task than 2012 WC task hence the need to achieve the task with better quality players.

well i've not read the news anywhere

can you help me with the link?

and by the way the 2018 world have not come and gone so we judging him now might just be too early

have you thought about him taking an average player to the world cup to set himself to fail?

komekn:
In football nothing is static you are either going up or coming down.

Last season KC was doing OK now he is struggling, Isaac Success was playing good in La Liga but came to Watford and is now essentially a waste man.

Top players are measured with consistency not one game wonders.

but i still remember last season you never said anything like the bolded

so what changed

Was Onigbide tasked to win the WC or to raise a new team?

If the latter is the answer, then it is safe to say Onigbide didn't fail because he raised quality players that lasted for a while. Gbam

Nigeria to host FIFA Executive Summit

World football –ruling body, FIFA will hold its FIFA Executive Football Summit (EFS) meeting in Lagos, Nigeria in February next year, the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed.

“Nigeria has been selected as a Member Association to host one of the 12 FIFA Executive Football Summit meetings happening between November 2017 and March 2018, as part of FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s vision of ‘bringing FIFA back to football and football back to FIFA’,” NFF President Amaju Pinnick said on Monday.

Already, the NFF has selected Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island as venue and hotel accommodation for the big event, slated for 20th February 2018.

Pinnick added: “This is a very important event on the FIFA calendar. That Nigeria is deemed good enough to be among the 12 countries to host the FIFA Executive Football Summit meetings is no mean feat. It is another marker of our global acceptability, visibility and reckoning.

“The NFF opted for Eko Hotels and Suites because FIFA officials are familiar with that facility and its services. It hosted FIFA teams during the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship and the 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup. Also important is the fact that the hotel has a new facility named The Signature, and which is of 5-Star quality and rating.

“The entire project, including the expenses of all the participants, such as their accommodation, feeding and transportation and all other logistics having to do with the programme, will be bankrolled by FIFA. ”

A FIFA official was in Lagos during the week to check out on accommodation and other facilities listed for the event.
