Play Brian Idowu. His call up is not for fancy.
nobody is saying they shouldn't be played or tested

all i've been saying is we can't just consider a role in isolation compared to the whole team in general. assuming Aina is the best RB we have in camp and Shehu is the 2nd best and Bryan that was just invited doesn't even measure up to Aina in the left back role, how do you shuffle your team in that scenario knowing Aina won't be missed much due to someone succeeding him in the role is giving the basic things required as a right back

Mujtahida:
The call to try Aina at RB is strengthened by the fact that we have a natural LB in Bryan Idowu. If Idowu acquits himself well against Argentina then good. Meanwhile we would get to see how much depth we have at RB if Aina plays there.
the line up for the Argentina match is not yet out as far as i know

the bashing has been coming as if Bryan should have started the left back role against Algeria and Aina tested in the right back role

i'm sure Bryan won't be thrown in just like that tomorrow. probably he with Ebuehi will replace both Aina and Shehu in the left back and right back roles respectively

Eeee be like say u deh mind.

I find it incomprehensible that we refuse to test new player. Ok Shehu is marvellousmarvellous, but how marvellous is hehuh Let's test other RB's including Ebuehi let's see. Friendly matches are for testing players winning is not that important.

We are still keeping faith with a limited set of players are we afraid of testing players that might displace those who are there. What's the problem.

In reality we have looked in a very small and limited pool of players look at the number of players in contention in England probably near 40+

This is replicated across a lot of top performing countries across the World. Brazil may select up to 50 players both old and young but will select only 23. Best players go.
agreed we need a formidable back up for all the roles in the teams and players should be tested to select the best.

Aina is a good right back that we know and you don't even know if the coach is testing him to know if he can play the left back so well so as to have options

if you were the coach in this circumstances we find ourselves in we need to play a game tomorrow, who would you play in the left back role since Aina will be played in the right back role to determine who is a better right back among the two

It is surprising that you are saying this. We don't have a good left back and only Aina & Ebuehi* can cover that to some extent for now. The coach wants to utilize the few at his disposal until able left back emerge. Aina's versatility handed the position to him.

This is not just Rohr, coaches always do that and I can give thousands of example.
that's what i've been trying to make him understand

Shehu is giving us what we want to see in the right back role. even if there is a rating kind of that is unbiased, Shehu might be clocking 90 and Aina around 94-95 for instance while probably at left back he might be on 85-89 while our left back might be around 75-80. Isn't it safe we forgo him at right back and fix him at left back since we won't be missing him too much in the right back role while we embark on the search for a better left back?

You qualify my observation by your response the fact that they were considered good enough in a team like Brazil arguably the best in the world. Says something in itself,l about the Chinese league. We do know what the final selection will be for Russia but they were actually considered enough to be invited.

In this regard if Brazil can consider players in China why not Nigeria.

Kaka the forgotten man was considered.

I am saying I see no reason why Obagoal can not be invited even Obasi, Efe. keep an open mind let's see if they have something bto offer.

If Osimhen, Nwakali and other can be considered why not them. They are still playing competitive football and giving a good account of themselves.

I do not see any problem.

Are they older than Defoe, Alves, Robben, Evra, etc
the players you put up there as being considered by Brasil were NEVER considered during their time in the Chinese league. Hulk was considered before he went there; Paulinho was considered after he went there and have been starting ever since he joined Barcelona; Tardelli just got only a call up which is the last game and sincerely i don't know where he plies his trade presently; Oscar was a regular before he went to China and haven't been called up since then even to be a training material even at his very young age which should be between 27-28 years.

does it really mean both Oscar and Hulk suddenly loss form since they went to China or Paulinho is now competing for world best winning various MOTM since he came to Barcelona?

are these players Defoe, Alves, Robben, Evra, in the Chinese league too?

Shehu is good but essentially he has nobody competing with him. Or I could say nobody has been allowed to compete with him. Is he better than Aina we do not know. It's q false sense of quality. What if Aina is betterhuh

We need competition increase our quality not reduce it.
who should play the left back role? Should we continue with Echiejile and let Shehu and Aina be competing for right back??

Since we have Shehu who does well at right why not leave Aina at left back since he can offer more than who we have there

You consider Chinese league not competitive, 5 players from the Chinese league are in the Brazilian squad. Striker Tardelli, Paulinho, Hulk, to name a few could be more.

The league is good enough for the team selection of Brazil arguably the best team in the world this decade but not good enough for Nigeria.

Yet some have written off Obagoal for players who have not achieved and may never achieve one tenth of what he has achieved in football.
you'll have to tell us how many of them are starters for Brasil

Hulk had one appearance as a starter and 2 substitute appearances and that was as far back as 2015

Paulinho only started having a call from Oct 2016 which is safe to say he started getting a look in and have started since then when he left the Chinese league to Barcelona

Your Tardelli just got one call up which he lasted the entire duration on the bench

Oscar started the qualifiers with them as far back as 2015 when he was at Chelsea but haven't gotten any call up since he left to the Chinese league

The comment above is based solely on the world cup qualifiers alone

so you now need pictures from the scouts to show that they are going after him??

is he eligible to play for us if called up immediately??

Did he ever claim he's an Agent to any of the Anglo-Nigerian Players?! Even if he is..... the Players he does mention here are top Qualities and deserve to be considered for the Call ups (if they are willing to play for us though, perhaps after getting their Allegiances).

Honestly speaking, the Dude is doing a great Job on this Thread. He's following these Lads, he knows them, he relates with many of them, and could be a perfect Asset for the NFF and the Technical Crew in the Future.
i think what humility017 is against is not talking about them but putting other players down and extolling the Anglo-Nigerians.

you can actually make a player look really good than comparing him with another who doesn't play same position, in the same team, in the same league and facing the same challenges

Explain more please, why would a Bundesliga club be playing friendlies with the season in full swing. Particularly as once again they are hovering around the relegation zone huh

I want to make an informed guess that it will be a game dominated by fringe players and youth players so almost a U23 game.

Osimhen has played twice for the first team coming on as a late substitute has not even made the bench in quite a few games. And some are suggesting he is SE top quality material.
the friendly I guess might be played by those not called up for international duty since this is the period for international break.

concerning your last paragraph, i've not seen that clamor for his invitation in recent times to be invited to the national team and the only clamor i can remember vividly of recent is for him to find a team and get playing time by Jan for him to be assessed if he can offer solutions to the SE attack and not necessarily for his invitation

Question: “Our concern in the US is that we want to see leaders who care about others and not themselves; we also understand that you have presidential ambition and wish to know your programme for the country,” he said.

Answer: “Our greatest challenge is not corruption but insincerity of leaders. Those claiming to fight corruption are not sincere. Without justice, we can’t move forward. There must be equity in the way we do things. Being selective in the fight against corruption will not take us anywhere.

On his presidential ambition, Fayose said, “I have the required experience to lead this country. I have worked with the presidents we have elected into office in this country and I am able to manage the economy of my state despite lean resources.

“In the US and the UK, they ask you your experience when seeking for a job not your paper qualification. I have managed a poor economy in my state and that shows my ability to deliver,” he said.

“We are in firm control and the people are in our support. We just want to appeal to America and the international community to keep an eye on the poll.
and people still think all of them are not the same?
