The time to make amend is now. Tell it as it is, clear your conscience and its up to her to decide whether she still wants in or out.. But expect the worst anyway! |
Please feel free to do your own composition and post.. 1ST POEM: At the hurling of the wind we know that rain is imminent Our hearts, thus leapt into our mouths We pant and shiver for the untold harship and turmoil to come We pray instead for stillness, bright sunny weather What other climes yearn for, We at Ago-Okota detest Not that we are not appreciative of the goodies of nature But with the coming of the rain comes pains and hardship Our houses, drainages and roads remain flooded The long stretch of the road is like River Zambezi covered by muddy waters, filled with gully killer pot holes Even a brand new car does not last a six months period Wonder why New Car Sellers does not extend warranty to the inhabitants The roads are impassable by cars and untrekkable by men Not in a day, would you not count a dozen cars wrecked and abandoned by the Road What do we do in this situation Cry unto the government that has abandoned us to our plights? Are we not part of the Government's plans? Is our neighbourhood not earmarked for developmental projects? Are funds not budgeted for our development? We will continue with this struggle Till all wrongs are made right Who can save us from this oppression.. This pitiable plight.. May be Mannie and his Angels would tell the tales to the ears of POWERS that be.. Kingz. 2ND POEM: "Though a cloudy sky screams; The shadows creep in The Sun hides in the shadows The light dims; while the sky Brings out its tears Though for Ago-ians This spells hardship et turmoil They'd prefer that rainbows Wave their branches of peace To enjoy what the Skylights Bring- a sunny summer Though the Ago-ians Detest what others yearn for The coming of the Rains For with this comes the hardship The flooding of the Roads With the accompanying pain Though the Road of the Ago-ians Is supposed to be a straight journey But ply it and all the written befalls To think that with the level of Affluence in automobiles and houses That the Roads would have begged For attention; but who cares Though certainly not the Ago-ians How have they shown they do? Have they shown their distress? Have they demonstrated? How? Have they shown their plight in this Unending agonies in the face Of these death traps? It seems The Government has abandoned? Nay! It doesn't just seem. It has! With the subtle political undertone That no Ago-ian matches Lo! We trudge on Poor heart Though to the Ago-ians The Roads stretch out like Zambezi Neither Mannie nor His Angels Are needed in this struggle Heaven is not silent as Ago-ians would want to believe Even if Ago-ians are silent But swim through they must Even if they encounter any hurts To body or automobile Or just smile and go about business As usual! |

Go for Toyota Camry- 1994-1996.Your best bet. |
Lastma and their silly stunts..Lastma officials do not deserve mercy from the way they lay ambush and swoop on motorists. We have jsut heard the one sided story from Lastma, let's hear the woman's testimonies too. The govt still has a whole lot to do in terms of road signs..it sucks |
If you re watching and appreciating but not congratulating, then you re low-key hating..stop hating and congratulate the efforts made so far on this power project..it can only get better..God bless Nigeria, God strengthen GEJ and touch the hearts of Nigeria to support good causes.. |
@ KOBOJUNKIE and KINGOFLAG.I can see the marks both of you have made on the sands!! Its alwys easy to criticise. Bloody badwagonists!!! |
All of you cursing GEJ are not by any means better than him.. To rule a country like Nigeria with its multiple challenges no be beans talk. Some of us shouting here cannot even manage their gai friends, wifes, husbands, boy friends, let alone their families or even their jobs. Most people would run mad if made the president for just 1 second, they will see that the seat hot. so be careful how you hurl insults. If most of us are asked how to proffer solutions to the many problems facing Nigeria, you will see many Retardeens on the prowl.. GEJ. Can only get better with our support.. He needs us and remember governance is a collective responsibility.. |
@OP, I think you have a whacked mentality..I think you have a reading disability..u are here shouting someone shd post the terms and conditions applicable to master card and okija juju painstakingly went to the website and pasted it here for ur perusal. You still turned a blind eye like a bat to the terms and still want to rake in N250mm.. If na so, all man for don turn millionaire.. |
@ Pukker, GT does not offer money gram but weetern union. |
I am very Igbo and got my first job on merit @ UBA..the bank hired massively that particular year. It was a very de-tribalized selection and mostly on merit. Cos myself and many others that got hired knw no one, we were nt evn invitd for d recruitment test. We heard abt it and gate crashed. As providence wud v it, we passd and got hired. Afta our training skul in UBA, the Human Resources unit posted virtually all Ibo origin to marketing. Their reasoning being that igbos do well in business and realtionship mgt..I hv since left UBA, working in anoda Yoruba owned bank and wud attest dat the recruitment too was unbiased. It ws pure merit bt I noticed though that they hire more of their own than other tribes, in a training skul klas of 30, u v abt 18 yorubas, 5 ibos, then d remainder is spread over the other ethnic divides. Howeva, the bank gives people almost equal opportunity to thrive and express their God givn talents. I rest my case. |
I read these lines and I cry out from the depth of my heart..Sickle Cell Anaemia, what a killer disease!! I lost 3 loved ones almost in a year to this MONSTER, first it was my first cousin. He died Dec 1999, as if that wasn't enough..I lost my elder brother who was a Law Student in July 2000, a very brillant chap, one of the finest law students in his school and as if that was nt enough, you came and took my younger brother in Sept 2000. I look back and wondered the pains they gone thru on their sojourn on tis earth. If tis drug is made handy, a whole lots of lives would b saved. I wish you all God's divine healing, pls create awareness for this drug as a whole lot of lives can be saved.. |

Papa Charly is tryin too hard to get our attention! Charly pls grow up son! |
I think Fashola is being over-hyped here, look at it critically, Lagos nets more than 2bn from internal generated funds daily. How has the state better the lots of its residents? Many areas in lagos do not have pipe borne water, good roads n even 4 hrs daily electricity. Do you know how much fuel we buy daily here in Lagos, the no of satchet bags we buy daily. Menh common, the guy is too damned docile now. There's no much significant development in lagos jare, most roads now are being awarded to some stupid low life contractors who do not knw their left to right. See durbar road @ mile 2 for instance, the road hs bn on goin for more than a year, not nearing completion. How many inner roads are tarred in Lagos..Men u guys shd jst open ur eyes n think objectively.. |
I hate ties with passion but I work in a bank where I have to wear from 8-4pm, monday to thursday. Fridays are casual outfits, so u can imagine d trauma I passed each day am on one.. But hey, I make sure I put it on once its 8 o clock on d dot n fling d damned tin once its 4pm. I will remove d suffocating tie, loosen ma collar nd fold ma shirt..Waoo..its feel thereafter |
