Getting into the program is dicey. Like a 50:50 chance. Still working towards it though

What type of MSc?

If you do not have plans to complete the OSPAP conversion programme, return back to Nigeria.

I’m in bit of a fix. I studied pharmacy in Nigeria and I travelled to do my masters in the United Kingdom in 2021. I’m not yet working as a pharmacist yet because the process is quite long. However, I’m working as a dispenser on minimum wage. my mama who sponsored my studies is insisting on my coming back to Nigeria to start up a pharmacy business as well as to get married all at her own expense. In as much as I appreciate her efforts and me myself miss home but I’m very skeptical of the economic situation in Nigeria and I’m afraid the investment may go down the drain. I’m 27 years. Note that I actually prefer Nigeria but I am just afraid of the unknown especially economic situation and insecurity. I know as well there are great opportunities and potential in Nigeria than living the 9-5 working life here in Uk. I need inputs from well meaning people please

It's about proximity my guy.

Are there white people in the townships where these xenophobic attacks take place?
Travel / Re: Which Country Has The Most Nigerian Immigrants by KingsDisease(m): 5:38pm On Jul 11, 2021
Whenever I see the xenophobic attack pictures, I have never seen white
HellraiZA:

But they do.But then again you are not a South African, you won't see what we see here.
Travel / Re: Which Country Has The Most Nigerian Immigrants by KingsDisease(m): 5:35pm On Jul 11, 2021
All these problems can be solved if the government wants to.
The government should take documentation of foreigners seriously.
They should catch and deport foreign criminals, yes, I support that, other countries do it .
Instead of this constant complaining from South Africans
Travel / Re: Which Country Has The Most Nigerian Immigrants by KingsDisease(m): 5:25pm On Jul 11, 2021
Shut up
The whites are never at the xenophobic campaigns or putsouthafricanfirst protests. I've been living and working in SA for years. Don't dig up another thing and tell me crap
TMKsouth:

You mean these whites? undecided
Travel / Re: Which Country Has The Most Nigerian Immigrants by KingsDisease(m): 5:19pm On Jul 11, 2021
Lol
I guess so , they are always hungry , looking for shops to loot from during protests. Hmmm, funny to hear that their police collects money from Nigerians there so they can do their thing. Wow It means they destroy their country with their own hands , South Africa is really going down the ditch
Blurpy:
They haven't being emancipated from apartheid.
They still blame people for their woes. They blame whites , they blame foreign nationals. They can put blame on anything.
Travel / Re: Which Country Has The Most Nigerian Immigrants by KingsDisease(m): 5:01pm On Jul 11, 2021
I actually noticed something in what blurpy said. Why is it that the whites don't protest. Only blacks?

Stop going to S.A. South Africans are hostile towards Nigerians, the environment is toxic for hustling. They purposely delay and deny Nigerians visa, they revoke work permits after issuance. Forge that hustle outta this continent, I have contact at nig embassy at Joburg, his children are in US , they ain't schooling in SA. Stop going to SA for greener pastures! More xenophobic attacks are brewing!

Education / Yahoo Trend In Campuses by KingsDisease(m): 7:31pm On May 16, 2021
The pressure of going into fraud.
The pressure to go into internet fraud popularly known as yahoo yahoo is on the rise especially in our campus nowadays. Boys are buying cars now ...very young boys , using latest iPhones, spraying money at parties, getting the freshest girls. The society now celebrates it openly mehn. It's now very normal. My campus is a medical allied single campus but boys that are cashing out on G are on the rise steadily . Pressure is high, even people that have graduated are doing it due to lack of well paying Jobs, now that government have even stopped paying medical personnel during internship,it seems to justify the fraud more. I didn't want to go into it because my dad strongly advised me not to do it(he said it has repercussions) ,I don't believe in karma though and it seems I'm the one dulling at last because I don't even have any other skills apart from what I'm studying (pharmacy) . I believe I'm very versatile in computer use and software know how. I can also hold conversation well with people. I'm even smarter than the big guys both academically and street wise. I'm thinking of meeting one of the guys to teach me. who else is having the same issue with me?

Family / Family Issue (diary) by KingsDisease(m): 3:19am On Dec 24, 2020
I feel like pouring out my heart here ..I don't know if this is the right place...I have never experienced family love in my life, only at very few moments.
Always quarrels between my parents, they are always at loggerheads. I'm suspecting there's a big issue underground that is fuelling this because they are beefing 80% of the time...The worst part is that they both complain to me ,like they expect me to mediate in the issue as both of them have no senior family members that can intervene in the issues. Serious needs and insults from both parties always....I have never witnessed harmony between them. Omoooo I'm tired now and want to sleep. I just tire....I'm 24 and still in school.
I'm afraid this might affect my relationships later in life... subconsciously..... I'm already seeing it coming...I haven't been in a relationship for some years now. I pity my younger sibling growing up ,she will suffer this predicament the most. My parents just seperated (physically), my mum's workplace relocated her to another state far from home...I'm happy for her because she has been in a toxic relationship for long...but I'm not sided with any party because the both talk to me everytime concerning the issue and I'm been confused everytime on who's actually doing the wrong....I know it's a long read....might continue tomorrow...sorry for any typos if be...I'm not a writer...just decided to pour my heart somewhere.

Good morning my people. I became the fresh passport processing this morning. I chose Alausa. 5 years and 32 page passport.

But the amount I am asked to pay online is 25000. Is this amount for the enhanced passport or still the old one?

Total of 26k paid.

Hmmmm, Davido seems to always beat WizKid in statistics.
Come Closer song garnered views because many people watched it in order to see Drake but alas they were disappointed.
Davido may not have the talent but dude sure know the gritty and nitty of the entertainment industry. A better time gave Nigerians what they needed than MIL.

Thanks very much
Can I pm you

You will need to be qualified to practice in your home country, and this is because a 'Letter of Good Standing' is required by the GPhC from the regulator in your home country.

Can a fresh graduate of pharmacy start this process and migrate successfully... I mean someone that has not done internship yet in Nigeria
claremont:

I replied to a similar question in another thread and I listed the steps to take to get qualified. In summary, you will need to apply to the GPhC for approval to undergo the OSPAP conversion course. It's a highly intensive course and not everyone passes it. I would recommend Uni'Sunderland due to their low fees and low cost of living, but their version of the course is also one of the hardest to pass. I know one or two Nigerians who failed the course and had to repeat the whole year. You will be in the same class with your fellow Nigerians, Asians, Australians, Canadians, etc, everyone is there to do the conversion course.

When you have passed OSPAP, you will need to undergo pre-registration training with a provider in the UK. It's a 1 year paid job and it's fairly easy to get a training place. It's basically repeating the same internship training you did in Naija after uni. When you have been signed off by your tutor after the training, you will then need to sit and pass the GPhC licensing exam. You have 3 attempts at passing it. A third fail means the candidate is banned from practicing in the UK. The good news is the vast majority pass it on the first or second attempt. A second point is you have only 4 years from approval of the first stage to go through this whole pathway comprising of the 3 steps. This is a valid point because if you don't get qualified on/before the 4th year ending, you will have to start the process all over again. In terms of Tier 2 visa, I don't know much about it, but I do know a few people who went through the full pathway and are currently working on a visa. I don't know the visa they have.

TL;DR - Pass OSPAP, pass pre-registration training, pass GPhC licensing assessment. Start making money! grin
