Nalikedis: Dilema... Seriously if Buratai is making serious and lasting progress against boko haram, and no new case of corruption is raised against him in his new post... Just like Jesus I will say go and sin no more... Your effort against boko haram has made u whole. Whoever want to hang himself because I ignore the sin of my beloved general can take a cue from Judas... Nobody wil mourn him. I temporarily quit Nairaland because of senseless posts like this. Lo and behold, I came back from exile, and the first thing I see is another senseless post. My question is this: do people intentionally act dumb, or is it a question of wallowing in eternal ignorance? What's wrong with some Nigerians? And to think that some of the people that post such drivel, are people we interact with on a daily basis, from all walks of life even makes it more disturbing. |

He's doing it in his national team...off the bench, he scores a hattrick! Messi is a playmaker, a goal scorer, assist master and above, the reigning world best with 5 Ballon D' ors. Beat that! |

In the HBO series titled Game of Thrones, in season four or five, Lord Baylish aka Little Finger said something after whisking Sansa Stark away from the Capital. He said " the only way to buy a man's silence forever is by a bow in his heart" but these Zombees even without a bow in their hearts are as silent as ice. What a shame! I noticed something on this thread. All those self-proclaimed Knights of APC/Buhari a.k.a; the walking dead (Zombies), who always run their maggot-filled, stinking mouths on most threads in the politics section, have intentionally avoided this thread like the plague. Please, you zombies should come out in droves and defend your Sai bubu...the certificateless president. He needs your support in these trying times. It's ok, come out and defend him as usual, we're used to such zombism. |

lezz:
I made you lose appetite for the match? It's refreshing to know. You make my swizzle taste better.
My father freed your father and taught him how to safeguard his heritage. That's the reason you don't own an ancestral land. If you were to be shown your family tree, you'll see the last two generations and beyond shared common habitat with chacma baboons.
Your immediate past generation were half-nakêd, spear-wielding, monkey-chanting bozos.
Funny how the Boers cited Zulus and Bantus killing each other as an excuse for apartheid. And your bloodlines went down in history as humanity's longest serving willing slaves.
Lagos government is made of various tribes in Nigeria.
Now compare and contrast with your Julius Malema, former youth president of the ANC, calling on blacks to seize white lands!!!
Omo-kwerekwere!!!
Kai, some guys sabi diss! Wadafuq? Seriously though, all these jibes aren't necessary. Truth be told, the OP opened this thread to address the issue of e-fights between Naija and South, but some of the Southies kinda hijacked the thread, and gradually dished out subtle jibes. It was inevitably going to end up like this! |
Politics › Re: Buhari Must Use Force To Destroy The Niger Delta Avengers, Not Dialogue by Kingsteve(m): 6:21pm On May 27, 2016 |
LordAdam: You don't deal with secession by rolling in tanks. That is so pre-2010.
You call the parties and negotiate with them. If negotiations stall then you call for a referendum.
The National Confab report of 2014 called for restructuring of Nigeria's government. The Aburi accord which Gowon signed and then reneged on called for something similar (confederate state with more sovereignty but still part of a union).
The North dismissed both squarely. Dismissing the first led to the killing of over 3 million Igbos.
The Fulani do not know that times have changed. They cannot keep forcing a union. IPOB, now Avengers. Even if these are stopped, in a couple of years time, another would spring up.
Buhari cannot oversee the killing of 3 million Niger Deltans like Gowon did and get away with it in 2016. They would not have money to even fight such war.
The majority of Niger Deltans do not want to leave Nigeria just yet. We just want more control of our resources.
Enforce federalism and the Niger Delta Elders and populace would ask these boys to sheathe their sword. Until then, only non-patriotic elements in ND (the Judases like Amaechi), and those looking to curry political favor (the state governors and chieftains like Ayiri) would be pro-government. The rest of us would say nothing thereby giving tacit support to the NDA or be vocal about it like Asari.
We in Niger Delta know what we want. Ken Saro Wiwa was killed, nothing happened. Then Odi happened, and militancy came in full force; in the end we got 13%, and a Niger Delta Ministry, and a Niger Delta Development Trust Fund. If another Odi or something bigger happens, the fight would be tenser and we could very well get our republic.
The Fulani are blind to the trend. We are well aware of it.
Enforce the 2014 confab report and watch all these secessionist talks fizzle out.
But Buhari would not listen to reason. But let him not worry, he would be forcefully bent.
Let me prove to you that Buhari is over-hyped.
1. When he came he removed road blocks. A few bombs went off later and he was forced to reinstate them. 2. When he first came he said only NNPC would import fuel and stopped marketers from importing. After months of scarcity, he allowed marketers to start importing. 3. When he first came he said he wouldn't devalue the naira. After the economy shrank and people started calling him a failure, he allowed the official exchange rate to slide. Finally, doing as IMF has been telling him since June 2015. 4. He first said he would "crush" the vandals (NDA). After output fell from 2.2 mbp to 1.3 mpb, he gave $10m to Kachiku to bribe NDA in Abuja.
I could keep going.
Buhari is as inconsistent as a teenage girl on her period. He is a chicken. NDA would bully him to submission. Marketers, IMF have done it already.
