NairalandGOAT1:It's not me |
MMempire:DSTV is not a government-owned company. Nothing concern them with your minimum wage. |
AbuTwins:There's nothing I will contribute to make you see otherwise. Energy to waste on that can be expended on something more useful for myself. |
Lagos state government has been getting away with demolishing buildings and spoiling businesses for a longtime. Seems Endsars that happened was karma. These APC politicians should not provoke another karma. |
Kudos to the observant citizens. Sometimes minding your business indirectly supports crime |
Good move by the father. If you want to be a simp, that is your problem. But the family is not involved. Older generation needs to take a stand when their children choose to be foolish. |
Dele Momodu has never been for the people. Majority of those he featured on Ovation Magazine then were the corrupt and those whose wealth was questionable. As usual, he will defend his friends and clients. |
Corruption keeps fighting back against the system in every country. But in Nigeria corruption wins 80% of the time. |
NoToPile:Occult and Christianity to me is like light and darkness. If he wants a marriage following Christian values, the fiance's background especially with the father's influence might bring up challenges later. That's my opinion. Well no marriage is without challenges. It's up to him at the end. 2shure:You are the only one calling me insultive words here out of the blues. Hope you are alright. |
2shure:The sooner you take the advice of checking into a mental facility, the better for you. |
This is the most baseless Biblical argument i have ever read. Some people just go into the scriptures for fault-finding and error seeking. If that is the job the devil gave you to do, believe me you go see wetin you wan see. |
Thanks all for your comments. From what was shared here I was able to give a better advice to my friend who I talked to over the night. I told him that if he wants to run a serious Christian marriage, the background of the girl will affect it so it is better to quit now except the girl is ready to be a prayer warrior and have less to do with her family. But if he wants to run a normal marriage, he can go ahead. My guy told me he wants a Christian marriage o. He told me he just spoke to his uncle pastor about it and the Uncle told him to quit. One, for him to complain that means he is no longer 100% sure about the marriage and that can raise issues in the future. Two, he said most occult men do spiritual things that eventually affect their children and marrying her will be fighting unseen battles he had no idea of. It is better he finds a way to breakoff slowly or let the lady know that his parents are not comfortable with the marriage because of her family background. He himself knows that his family will not accept that but he is willing to turn rebel and do what he wants to do. But now he's having a rethought. At a point I could hear sounds of crying in his voice over the phone. Guy is still saying that this is the best lady he ever dated. Chei |
You cannot force someone into responsibility. Let them live with the consequences of irresponsibility. No water for them. |
fyzaila:I wrote both ROF and Ogboni |
Let him not try and use force. Let him use wisdom. A woman with multiple sexual partners sees a child as a hindrance. Talk to her family members that your move is in the best interest of the child and she is welcome to see her child anytime. Using force will make her use the child as a weapon to hurt him. |
Reflect7:We don't know her from anywhere |
Okay here is the story. One of my best friends who is expected to get married this year just called me for hours with regards to his plans. He met this babe 2 years ago and things were going fine. I even know the girl as a nice lady and very homely. I don chop her food, she cooks well. Both of them attend RCCG church. My friend is a casual member while his fiance is a serious member and doesn't miss weekly services. So my friend to take his relationship more seriously decided to visit his fiancé's family so they know him. Before then, the fiancé had told him that her father is a former Baptist but has stopped being religious and sometimes does traditional practices. On the day of him visiting her home, he was welcomed even bought gifts for the dad and mum. But he said his spirit was very uncomfortable in that house. There was an standing portrait of the father on white with beads and regalia to show he is Ogboni. Also in the house, there were a few funny looking art works which looks occult. My friend played cool, the father even asked of his church and he told him. The father proudly said he is a traditional man. After the meeting, the next day he asked his girlfriend if her father is an ROF member and she said yes that she told him before that he is a traditional man. But my friend is showing signs of doubts. He told me he loves the girl, but that he wants nothing to do with anything occultic in this life till he dies. His family may not agree but even if he insist to have his way because of love, he wants to be sure it will not end in regret. I told him what really matters is the heart of the person he is marrying. My guy said yes but family background matters. Foundation matters, which is true. House, what do you think?

When you have sex, it could bring out a lot of hidden diseases from both man and woman. You are alright. Next time, use a condom and wash off after sex. |
If he could do this to his wife, imagine what he could have done to an innocent civillian |
If it's not meant to work, it's not going to work. Marriage is what both sides work hard to make sure it works and if she's not ready to do that then the sooner the better. Just that there's going to be a little girl raised by a single mother. ![]() |
Pepperdemisback:The whole Nigeria is against cultism. Let NBM do something about their boys killing themselves in the name of confraternity. |
Linda Ikeji will not pay a dime and the whole Nigeria will support her. Say no to cultism |
everythingtall3:No they are not friends. |
Azeez made foolish choices. From stealing to suicide. |
AMI3:No vex my Oga. I just stumbled the name across one forum back back in the days and used the name while registering my anonymous account on Nairaland. |
AdamuKD:I meant Chijioke Uche. I never mentioned any Obi |
I am not a BATist but I will forever be against that attention-seeking politician from Agulu with a feminine voice. |
levi2:I'm neither of the above. Rather than imagine shit about others imagine success for yourself. |
Kobojunkie:Yes oo. According to the most intelligent person on Earth who has restricted her wisdom to be the most popular troll on Nairaland. Hijo de puta |
Kobojunkie:Kobojunkie....For more than a decade you never disappoint on nairaland. Na you be the asylum case study. hijo de puta |
It's like there was a curse for she not to have children. That when it seemed the curse was about to be broken, her life was taken. People, life is more spiritual than physical. It is reasons like this people go to spiritually-minded churches like MFM, CAC, Zion ministries, etc. Please if you are reading this, take your spirituality more seriously. I am not saying you come to church. Even if you have to go to Babalawo or native doctor, just be spiritually minded. |
