bigwind: enzymology is d simpliest bch course,i cn agree wit u if u say u av 'A' in it. There's no pathway in it jus graph n calculatn...CHO n lipid metabolism is a single course here, i'll doubt it if u say u av 'A there..unlez d exclude d pathways 4 medicine stnds like they do in my sch. Clinical biochem is elective here, i didnt do it. Hmmmmm things certainly have changed and as for the pathways there was no skipping we did all of it and I must admit it was easier to write and exam and sketch pathways in Biochemistry and physiology than to disect dead bodies and sew them back together in anatomy |

alentyno: Guys read like mad, and so what? Are they the only ones that do read? Infact to me PHARMACY is harder than MEDICINE.
In medicine you read and understand In engineering you read, you think, you re-read, you re-think, you think and think and think before you understand! alentyno: The ones that struggle with law are those who are not used to reading anything in print wether it concerns their interest or not No sir the students of Biochemistry are there for 4 years yes they read but I took 4 biochemistry courses in Uni and had 3 As and a B it was just a normal read and pass course but law the reading is more voluminous and they spend 5 years. so I think law should be on that list |

alentyno: I saw this and a kinda agree with it.
No course studied in the higher institution seems easy, but some are brutal and can snuff life outta you. However, don't get afraid of them. They're actually interesting. So grab a packet of popcorn as I take you through them.
1. Engineering: the name of this course speaks for itself already. The dudes that study this course eh.....*winks*. It undeniably houses all heavy weight courses in engine faculty like chemical engineering, mechanical, production, petroleum...etc..any guy you see rushing to lecture hall with a punching calculator, they're engine boys o.
2.Medicine: What makes this course challenging, is because you'll be forced to read(jack) like your life depends on the degree of knowledge you obtain from their heavy an bulky textbooks. Some of them actually do go for thanksgiving, when they pass their MBBS exam, that contains Anatomy, physiology and biochem.
3.Biochemistry: people usually think that it's a combination of biology and chemistry. If you're one of such, abeg, it's a wrong impression. You will actually get familiar with Bio molecules and giant Organic structures, that will choke you up. This course requires much logic. What makes it challenging,is that you'll have to learn a lot within a short duration. Metabolic pathways might seem frustrating atimes...*winks*. Another thing about this course is that their lecturers are always sadists, due to long years of studying brutal carbohydrate and enzyme structures.
4.Chemistry: I call this course the power, because these dudes can mix chemical concoctions of Ammonia and HCL and blow everywhere...chem guys, I dey joke o....Its actually one of the most difficult in physical science, because you'll make friends with differential equation in physical chemistry, which will leave you wondering if you're studying maths or chemical reactions.
5.Pharmacy: Its already obvious.don't know where to begin with this course. It overlaps critical aspect of chemistry. You hear stuffs like pharmacokinetics, drug metabolisms etc.
6.Architecture: the funny thing about this course is that it sounds cool and friendly, but when you get in,you know that not all that glitters are gold. You'll get familiar with geometric drawings, optics and so on, which atimes is usually a pain to the ass.
Source You placed biochemistry there instead of law? SMH the books those law students read big pass medicine own |

dabarpharmacy: WE DON’T DIE, WE KILL OURSELVES (2) Welcome aboard. We started a journey from the last edition, in case you are just coming on, we are on our way to wellness. We defined our destination and here, a quick recap, Wellness is “A dynamic state of health in which an individual progresses toward a higher level of functioning, achieving an optimum balance between internal and external environments’’. Why Wellness? Wellness because there is NOTHING GOOD about illnesses and diseases. Managing them comes with a huge price. It affects the pocket of its victims, their overall (Physical, Social, Mental, and Emotional) health, and family member’s well-being. The brunt is borne mostly by the sick, his care giver, family members and in the long run, the society as existing profitable economic activities are put on hold, new business ideas buried and limited resources that should have been multiplied are channelled towards providing relief for the sick. Anti-wellness habits includes poor diet, lack of physical activity, inadequate relief of chronic stress, smoking, and overuse of alcohol. These habits continued over time break down the body’s immune system thus making the body susceptible to various kinds of illnesses. Every human body has an immune system. Wikipedia in its definition says The immune system is a system of biological structures and processes within an organism that protects against disease. It will not be out of place if I liken the Immune System to a Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) in a shopping mall with heavy traffic of people and stock. The CCTV is meant to monitor what happens in the mall, who and what comes in and goes out. Now, what happens if the CCTV gets bad? Anything goes in and comes out without check even PILFERERS. Meaning that when the immune system breaks down, diseases has FREE ENTRY AND EXIT permit. IMMUNE SYSTEM From our brief definition, the Immune System is a Structure. A structure can be built or torn down. The truth is that no structure left on its own without attention gets better. If it is not being improved on, it breaks down and gets destroyed. So, it is either of two things- (1). Keep working on the system to make it stronger OR (2). Abandon it to itself and it gets weaker. Just as a physical structure (building) needs the right standard and quantity of sand, cement, water, iron bars, stones, gravel, etc. to stand and pass for a strong structure, so does the human body,- Your body needs a mix of several nutrients from food to function at its peak. From elementary science, almost all of us learnt about the food chart, classes of food and BALANCED DIET. We are familiar with Carbohydrates, Protein, Vitamins, Minerals, Fats and Oil, and Water. Our Immune System is built by what we EAT and DRINK; OUR DIET. IS YOUR DIET COMPLETE? From the basic knowledge of elementary science, Can you judge your diet to be complete and in THE RIGHT PROPORTIONS? Now, be true to yourself. Is it? Right now, I know you are doing a serious heart search. You see, in our days, the food stuff we have are processed. The bran in our rice and wheat are gone, the juices lack the fibre of the fruits, our beans is baked and canned, the fish broiled, oiled and canned, the maize de-hulled and the husks fed to backyard goats!, Everything Is Processed!!! The truth is that in the process of processing these foods, they are killed. Now, can you answer my question? See you next time…
