Anitaamich: August applicants are being handled by ukvi Sheffield while September applicants are sent to ukvi Pretoria. I guess there’re not much backlogs in Pretoria, that’s why theirs is faster. I hope mine was sent to ukvi Pretoria because I did walk in sept 9 at VI |

dami24: My dear, I think the house has already advised that you be positive and hope for the best. Some others have even said that you have nothing to worry as you have the 28days covered.
Besides, if you cancel your application, you will not get a refund because you have already done biometrics.
So just relax and wait for the outcome. I’ve just been very uncomfortable and scared but thank you anyway , I will wait. |

TheGuyFromHR: This is unfortunately not in line with the rules. You should have submitted and paid for your application any day after your 28 day count ended ( 6 September in your case). Just hope it's overlooked.
If I cancel my application , and resubmit, I guess the statement is still valid or do I need to put another money in the bank ? My statement says from August 8 to September 6 and I applied September 5 And did walk in September 9th at VI. so from the response I have gotten here , it seems the statement stayed for only 27days instead of 28th.
So the guru in the house should advise me if I should cancel and submit again and I go would need to leave the money in the bank again for another 28days |

inphoenix: Never attribute to "discretion" what could very well be an "error", afterall, as you noted, the ECOs are human who make mistakes - which is the only reasonable explanation for why that someone, according to you, could have successfully used a statement "way before" the 28 day maturity.
It has been rightly noted here that the UKVI uses the tickbox approach in decision making, so it is in the applicant's interest to abide by guidelines in order to avoid stories that touch. I completely get you but “discretion” happens |

Lawrence6: Which statement did you use in getting your CAS? My CAS was very late , came almost 3 weeks and half, so I decided to print a fresh bank statement to be on the safe side and I stupidly did not put my dates backward when printing , I should have printed from August 5th or 6th |

brainz360: Cancel if you can and start afresh for your own peace of mind. I can not cancel again because my school visa compliance officer has emailed me that they can see that a decision on my visa has been made. Although when I tracked it, it’s still saying it’s at DMC, I did a walk in on September 9th at VI and my school emailed me September 14th. I heard that UKVi informs your school when decision has been made though. I heard VI is slow now , ikeja is fast |

Lawrence6: You really don't need to worry,i printed my statement from 4th of aug till 1st of Sept, it was same statement i used for my CAS too and i submitted my application on the 6th of sept but except i am not understanding i am pretty sure you are safe cos you have extra 15/30 days to use that particular bank statement. The argument is that the money in your bank must stay 28days before paying and submitting your visa application online, any day extra after submitting visa application online is considered void |

In any case better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for this because I know someone that it happened to.. he submitted online and was waiting for his 28days to elapse then he printed out his statement , applied and got the visa. Like you said better safe than sorry, I pray I get the visa |

mattfeuter: Highly doubt this . . .
How is this even possible ?
What would be the date of application?
How will the ECO count back the 28 days of funds being held if your “person” didn’t wait before applying for visa ? I am telling you the truth, it happened |

LagosismyHome: This covers 28 days ...Aug 8 to sept 4 or 5th so maybe you should be fine although cutting it close. But i cant say for sure as it always good to leave one or two days allowance
Next time if unsure then ask or clarify before not after .... after is medicine after death I actually know someone who submitted his application online way before his statement completed 28days while he waited for his statement to complete so that he can go for biometrics And he got the visa , I thought it was ok so that’s why I didn’t really ask, so I literally joined nairaland after I submitted my application to hear people story then I started seeing something different about you must wait for 28days before you submit your application. So it really scared me |

dami24: I think you should have waited atleast one more day. You may or may not be safe.
From my calculation, you statement shows only 27days before your application and not 28th ie counting from 9th.
But if ukvi includes 8th in their counting, then you should be safe.
You have already submitted I guess so no need crying over spilled milk. Just hope for the best.
Cheers Oh dear this is now scary , I don’t know what I was thinking, so the day I submitted won’t be added to make it 28days? This is sad |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Kinkwin: 1:45pm On Sep 16, 2020 |
LagosismyHome: I dont think this is the proper way to do this....if your 28 days ends sept 3rd . You must wait till that day to submit online.
If you submit 1st of September then that not very wise regardless of what bank details you print . You really should wait until your 28days is complete before you submit an application. .... surely you could have waited for 2 to 3 days Hi I only gave an example using the September 1st. In reality I submitted sept 5th online and printed out my statement sept 7th. But I printed the dates August 8th to September 6th even though I submitted my online application September 5th. So I am guessing August 8th to September 4th covers my 28 days before I submitted on the 5th. Even though My statement states August 8th to September 6th. Please am I safe ? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Kinkwin: 12:21pm On Sep 16, 2020 |
Hello house.
Please I want to understand how the bank statement works, should it be in your account for 28 days before you submit and pay for your Application on line? for example if you submit your application on line September 1st, and then your 28 days statement ends on September 3rd then you print your bank statement September 4th, so that means the application was submitted online before the statement clocked 28days but still waited for it to clock 28days before printing.
So please house which one is it or it doesn’t really matter if you submitted online before or after your statement clocked 28days as far as your statement is 28days.
I submitted and paid for my application on September 5th, I printed out my statement on September 7th which carries dates from August 8th to September 6th. Please am I safe ?
Thank you |

Hi just wise and everyone
I did a walk in September 8th at Ikeja centre and I am tracking it and it’s still at DMC. I am going for MSC at Middlesex university and I just got an email from the school visa compliance officer quoting this :
“ Following up on the CAS letter that we issued for you to study the programme, we would like to get an update on your recent Tier 4 (General) student visa application.
Our records show that the decision has been made on your visa application and you are one step closer to starting your degree. This is great!
If you have already received your visa from the embassy confirming your visa application was successful, please let us know and I will update your records. This will help with your induction later in September.
If you received a visa refusal, please inform us as a matter of urgency! It is very important that we are aware of this and can advise you on your next steps. In order to help you with the next steps, we need to see a copy of your visa refusal letter. Please don’t forget to attach when you email us back.
My question here is that do the UKVI tell the school when a decision is made ? Or it’s a generic email even if you were given the visa or refused the visa.
Thank you all for your contribution. |

shawlar: It might be an issue, although it’s just a slight possibility the ECO could think he has lost his job and is planning to jaapa. Why doesn’t he just wait until he is paid before applying? So as not to leave anything to chance? He has got recent letter from his company explaining about the discrepancies and his leave date .. is that ok I guess ? |

Thanks for your response , but am particular about the discripances in his statement , like I said he has a good explanation for it , would it still be an issue ? And he is going for the 2years tourist visa application. |
