Hello house just curious
I applied for my mum and dad to come visit me in the U.K. for holiday and I am the sponsor , they both applied together as a family using the flexi appointment but separate forms as usual. I have been tracking it and I can see that my dad application says it has been transferred back to VAC for passport pickup but my mum application is still with DMC. And I have not received any rejection email cos I used my email for their applications. So just curious , is it possible their case was treated differently? Thanks |

richdopeboi: You can apply together it is a straight forward application they are both elderly going to see their child . The form says they must apply separately that’s why I am confused |

Kinkwin: Hello This is on behalf of a friend, she wants to invite her parents to see her newborn and spend time with her newborn. Her mum has been here before though years ago but her dad is his first time. She wants to know if the application should be separate application cos there is no place on the visa application it says to apply together. And if it’s a separate application , does she have to use two separate emails as she is the one doing the both application and how does she get them same appointment dates for them to submit their application as a family. Your help will be muc needed. Thank you Please I really need help to this question , please thank you |

LagosismyHome: Declaring money is no big deal, so if you are carrying over then make sure you declare it. As a student relocating that is enough valid reason so do not attempt to hide any large amount. It is allowed. all they ask is declare it when landing UK
However due to security reasons then travelling with huge cash, me my mind won't be at rest that what if it get lost or stolen. So way the pros and cons carefully before you travel with large sum Thank you |

TheGuyFromHR: Got the same recommendation too, couched clearly as such. It's a recommendation, not a rule. Of course I'm planning to transfer the bulk of my money to a bank account, I'm only going to carry about 2k or so, but if I wanted to, the government limit would be decisive. I would prefer to carry on cash to avoid bank charges of using my Nigeria debit card in the U.K. and like the website said carrying up to 10k euros and don’t need to declare won’t be a problem and I guess it applies for students as well. |

Mykman1202: I was informed by my school that you are allow3d to carry 500-600pounds in cash only while the remaining funds should be in a bank account and you should go with the credit or debit card and also the statement of that account as evidence. Haaaa see Wahala , thank you for this information let me confirm with my school |

TheGuyFromHR: The UK government website says you can bring in up to €10,000 or the equivalent in another currency undeclared, every amount beyond that must be declared.
Check gov.uk, most helpful site indeed. Please do I use oanda rate when converting or what rate do I use ? Thank you |

Over paid and you wouldn't know it because you can't be bothered to do the simple thing.
This is British airways ticket for tomorrow. $716 which is about N268,794 First of all I did not overpay , secondly British airways is over 1000 dollars which amounts to about 500k, thirdly I don’t know where you got your image from cos it seems to me that it’s before taxes. Please stop deceiving people |

naledis: You are well-versed when it comes to immigration advice and your counsel here has been invaluable. But for Pete’s sake, admit that you are not entirely right on this particular one and let it go. C’mon! I personally got my ticket much cheaper than what was reflecting on the airline website. No one is advocating for the use of licensed agencies everytime. No one is positing that discounted fares are only available through agencies.
We’re saying SOMETIMES a traveler can get much cheaper bookings through agencies. What is so difficult to understand in that point? Uncle just wise , I just bought virgin Atlantic ticket one way to London for 302k from an agent but on their website , it’s showing me 1,150.173 , over a million naira for one way. What can you say about this ? |

Hello house I know this must have been asked like one million times but just to confirm that British airlines don’t ask for Covid 19 test and if I get challenged by immigration officers, I have to put it to them that British airways don’t ask for it |

LagosismyHome: I dont think this is the proper way to do this....if your 28 days ends sept 3rd . You must wait till that day to submit online.
If you submit 1st of September then that not very wise regardless of what bank details you print . You really should wait until your 28days is complete before you submit an application. .... surely you could have waited for 2 to 3 days I have my visa here now , thank you |
