One of the most sensible things I have read on Nairaland in years. It is very shameful that there is no defined 20, 50 & 100yrs plan anywhere designed for Ndigbo.
A plan that all esteem governor must follow to realize a vision.
I concur with this post, there is absolutely no need for all these airports. Maybe cargo but not commerical.

One airport and a loop is all we need. A loop is a 12 to 18 lanes circular highway that circles and goes through the entire Igboland. With that you can get to any part of the east in 4 hrs Max.

Your CDR must be based on an expertise in your nominated occupation.

Oh thank you, I get the hang of it.

If you can write a convincing CDR, I believe you should be able to get positive assessment as it is what EA mainly use.

So in that case what will my CDR besed on, My Undergraduate experiences or My Work experience as an IT support?

And how will this relate to my intended course of nomination (production and Plant Engineer or Mechanical Engr).

Nothing in your enquiry requires my attention.

What do you need help with?

Can i be assessed on Engineers Australia without claiming Work Experience and the one i have is in Info Tech not related to my engineering.

Why do you have to buy, there are lots of PTE materials being circulated on this thread, why not go through the thread and request someone who has copy to send to you.

Nothing different from what you will buy

Hey Bro,

I really need to talk to you to ask some specifics.
I am a mechanical/production engineer just like you and i think your application kind of mirrors what i hope to do too.
I am still going through your post to learn a little about your application but i will appreciate if you can respond to my PM so i can ask specific.
I also wish not to claim work experience as my work experience is in Information Technology.

Finestlex: I used online route.. I included police clearance, two sponsors (dad and bro), statement of purpose, it took me 3wks and a day and I confirmed my trv.. In summary, God did it for me

Thanks bro for ur prompt response.
3wks and a day from the day of application to Trv confirmation?

If so maybe I should give SAIT till middle of August before I apply with conestoga.
Both program are for jan 2015.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by kinnkw(m): 10:21pm On Jul 08, 2014
Good evening house.
I have decided to go ahead to pay and apply for Trv with my conestoga admission, with hopes to transfer to Sait if I finally get admitted to the program i want for winter. This is to allow for Cic processing time.

I have also decided to go through the online route as i hear it is faster.
Please I will like to P.M anyone who got Trv though the online route, I have a few detailed questions to ask.

In addition I would like to know the Total processing time frame?, if I can use two sponsors while applying through the online route?
Did you provide a statement of purpose?
Did you provide a police report?
I know all these are provided in the paper route becos I worked with my older brother on his application 2yrs backs but i need t learn from someone who has the online experience.

Please I need information from anyone.
Thank you

pak: I have always thought about this but never had the technological or financial werewithal to pull it off.

The truth is, say what you will - This is the future of mobile telephony.

The earlier we realise that we actually are not supposed to be charged for talking !!!!
Its an anomally.

The worst that should have happened is to have a subscription based model where once I buy the phone/ and mobile line, I might only need to pay perhaps a periodic subscription fee nothing more !!!

Look at other business models like the TV or automobile. Once I buy them from the owners. I only spend to maintain the devices and in the case of TV - probably pay for cable TV subscription and Car - pay tax to govt for maintaining the road and security but I am not charged directly each time I switch on my fone or each time I drive my car.

It should be the same for phones too.

Kudos BlackBerry - maybe I might be eventually convinced to get one afterall

WHO IS THIS GUY??
What is the Future of telephony? didn't you read other peoples post at least to educated yourself a little before displaying your ignorance?

mistamayor: I have read a lot of comments and little wonder why Nigerians are not at their best??

This is a service that runs over wifi and would be great to have... na RIM fault say we no get correct internet for naija? What has carriers got to do with this? Sm1 even said "dead on arrival"....na wa o! why skype never die now?

The asperity of the nigerian mind baffles me.

If this is for you, rejoice and if it is not, parkwell... life is not always sweet on the fast lane.

Its dead on Arrival cos its still very useless to the average nigerian Blackberry user who enjoys free unlimited BIS data plan.
It would have been useful to them if it was enabled on BIS as well, that way they can make unlimited calls just like they download unlimited illegal movies.

sperony: I am sure Telcom cmpny will not support this to flow. if you actually check out the profit and loss implication, friends I tell you its DOA!!!
This is RIM try to introduce what has been on other phones since 2006, it is simply called VOIP,( voice over internet protocol). Its the technology that enables you make pc to pc calls on yahoo messanger, gtalk, skype etc. VOIP has been on the mobile devices for over 6yrs and Rim is just introducing it.
Note that it is only enabled on Wifi so it has nothing to do with our mobile operators as they don't give Wifi services. Other platforms enable it over data network and wifi, on data network it uses up your credit or your data volume if you subscribe for any.

Sunny_bobo: @op, I had d same problem when I was in Nigeria but since I left Nigeria, it stopped save for the first few months that I still had some of those symptoms. It wasn't funny feeling unwell at 2 weeks interval and each time I went to hospital, they said it's malaria. I ran all the test I could invluding HIV, hepatitis, Liver function test etc and all were negative but ringforms of plasmodium falciparum were always seen each time I ran malaria parasite tests. Hence I concluded my malaria had developed resistance to most anyimalarial therapy as I virtually used all known antimalarial drugs including the ACTs.

The doctors themselves didn't seem to have any answer to the problem. From my experience (I left Nigeria more than 4 years ago and haven't had such symptoms for close to 4 years now except on my last visit to Nigeria) I would say it is multi-drug resistant malaria and the best way is to reduce exposure to mosquitoes and find out if any prophylaxis works for u.

One more thing is that from all FBC (Full blood count) tests I have done, I have noticed that I have low White blood cell count of between 3.8 to 4.2 which is borderline as normal range is 4 to 11. In my own view, that could explain the decreased immunity but then why only to malaria?

People with Genotype AA, always have declined immune count when they have malaria. It haappens to me too.
I strongly believe my problem has a lot to do with my environment, because anytime i travel out of lagos for maybe xmas, i never get sick.
I have tried to reduce exposure to mosquitoes to the point that it is affecting my social life. I can't come outside by 7pm with out dressing like an Eygptian mummy. For some reason my body smell like tasty fried chicken to those little bastards, maybe because i'm fair.

Yeah go for test.
Yes i have gone for HIV test twice, 2009 and 4 months ago.
I explained everything to the doctor he said it wasn't normal. so we did series of test again which he now
saw a minor urinary infection and malaria.
I was treated and i felt better for a month, probably because i left my environment at the time.
i came back a fell sick a week after.

Since my relocation to Lagos since 2009, my health condition has greatly decreased.
Prior to my relocation i hardly get sick at all. As a child i suffered malaria a lot but that was when i was still in boarding school, after that i have never had malaria or any reason to go to a hospital till 2009 when i came to Lagos.
The symptoms are never severe but it affects my productivity drastically and it scares me. Most times i get scared thinking something else is wrong with me, but when i get to a hospital and run some test the result is always Malaria +. I understand some people get malaria ++ which is more serious.
Some people say i expose myself to mosquitoes a lot, but i have also discovered that i attract mosquitoes more than everybody around me.I always complain about mosquito bites once its 6pm as a result of that i hardly come outside once it get back home from work.
The symptoms i get include, very mild headache, Pain behind my eyes, heavy eyes, dizziness, abdominal pain in the mornings when i wake up, severe tiredness, Feeling weak even after a night sleep, muscular pain, pain in joints, lack of concentration, Irregular bowel movements,a feel of bloated stomach and sometimes a burning sensation in stomach like i'm hungry even after having a good meal.
I go about my daily business like normal but i'm very very bothered because these symptoms all come back a week after treatment.
My productivity is grossly affected, i have seen decrease in time i put in work and domestic related activities.
