PoliticsStephen Davis Acting Obasanjo's Script-Asari by kipesco(op):
Stephen Davis Acting Obasanjo's
Script-Asari
Leader of the defunct Niger Delta Volunteers
Force, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo has declared
that the Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis is
acting a script written by former Olusegun
President Obasanjo by his recent disclosure on
the sponsors of Boko Haram.
Asari-Dokubo in an interview with newsmen
insisted that Davis was being economical with
the truth.
He said it was laughable that the negotiator
fingered former Chief of Army Staff, General
Azubuike Ihejirika and former governor Ali Modu
Sheriff as sponsors of Boko Haram, when the
sect had made statements against the duo.
His words: “I know Stephen Davis very well. I
know him to his family. I think he is economical
with the truth. As somebody I know, I was
disappointed. I was the first person Stephen
Davis negotiated with. I am totally disappointed
in the politics he is playing.
“He negotiated with me when I was in the creek
on behalf of the European Embassies in Nigeria.
He negotiated with me to cease fire and come
out to meet with the then President Olusegun
Obasanjo. He negotiated with me without paying
anything. We only agreed because we thought
Obasanjo would be sincere, but it did not
happen.
“How can he say opposition is sponsoring Boko
Haram and then the first name he would mention
is Azubuike Ihejirika. When did Ihejirika start to
sponsor Boko Haram, was it when it was formed
in 2002 when he was never Chief of Army Staff
or when their leader Mohammed Yusuf was
extra-judicially murdered in 2009; when did he
start
sponsoring if not that someone is playing
politics.
“When you bring pepper soup joint talk to
national issues, it is sad. He has diminished
himself as an International negotiator. I hold him
in very high regard but I am disappointed.
“He said former governor Ali Modu Sheriff is
sponsoring Boko Haram, and I ask, when? Was it
when they accused him of allegedly murdering
Yusuf’s father-in law who was his former
Commissioner? Lest we forget, one of the
demands of Boko Haram in 2009 was that Sheriff
should be put on trial, so when did he start the
sponsorship?
“Now, all of a sudden, Sherrif who was a
chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC)
was not a sponsor of Boko Haram until he
defected to the PDP.
“Now, APC are now shouting. So, when they
were hobnobbing with him he was not a Boko
Haram sponsor until now? APC is evil and they
are hiding the truth from people. As far as I am
concerned, my friend Stephen Davis has totally
reduced himself.
“All his comments are pepper soup joint talk. He
did not name other members of the opposition
but mentioned Ihejirika. The same Ihejirika, El
Rufai and others said should be taken to
International Court for War Crimes, now he said
he is a sponsor of Boko Haram.
“Davis is Obasanjo’s friend. Obasanjo brought
him to Nigeria and he is playing Obasanjo‘s
script. He is playing Obasanjo’s agenda.
Whoever introduced him to the government
should have done a background check on him”.
On Chibok girls, he reiterated his comment that
Boko Haram did not kidnap any teenage girl.
“Just like I read that the #BringBackGoodluck
Jonathan signpost should be removed. Why is
the government pretending that some girls are
missing? No girls are missing. They should not
play politics with this thing. Nobody is missing.
It is a scam “There is nothing like that; I still
want to believe.
There was no time girls were kidnapped”.
Reminded that even the international community
were helping out in the search of the girls,
Dokubo said that notwithstanding, he maintains
his position.
“Which international community? The
international community that went to Iraq and
said there were weapons of mass destruction, till
today, they have not seen any. The International
community that went to Libya to kill Ghadaffi
and today have totally destroyed Libya.
“Which International community are you talking
about; the international community with vested
interests? They came since with goggle map and
co, so why have they not located the girls? It is
a disgrace. Why have American soldiers not
rescue the girls?”
PoliticsRe: 2015: Plot To Drop Sambo Thickens by kipesco(m): 7:11pm On Sep 12, 2014
omazus: No wise ruler will drop Sambo as his Vice for any other person. Mark my words: that man is one the greatest loyal personalities in Nigeria. He knows his place and keeps it. If I were Jonah I will finish with this man and hand over to him in 2019. Of course I know the opposition are the sponsors of this article just to cause confusion.
No doubt about that but he is not trying enough to win his peoples mind for Jonathan.
If he was able to convince his elders n brothers for Jonathan then he would have remained.
If the last rumor I heard last year is true then some other governor is facilitating his people for Goodluck reelection n I bet Goodluck won't leave that person for Sambo.

- Stop the ongoing massive corruption
- Unite Nigerians
- Secure our citizens, properties and businesses in Nigeria
- Build infrastructures and amenities across the Federation
- Provide the empowerment opportunities, jobs and resources.
- Provide a level playing platform for Nigerians to grow with "Man-Know-Man" mentality currently in place.
- Punishment to those who do not want to stop perpetrating evil and destruction of Nigerians.

Nigeria is a great great nation. A change in leadership will help this giant to stop crawling on his stomach.

The negotiator did not submit report to Jonathan because if he had done, Jonathan would have investigated more and find out more truth. But the man is in Australia I guess and been interviewed hmmm.
I trust Jonathan, he won't say anything but rather comes out with the clean truth then we will know who are the true sponsors of Boko Haram.
PoliticsRe: Is PDP The Problem Of The North And Yorubas Or Jonathan by kipesco(op): 1:37pm On Sep 02, 2014
amnestylaw1: Jonathan, like SOME other past leaders, have incompetent and/or bad advisors. They'd rather not tell him the truth than lose their jobs. They seem to praise him even when he is not getting it right. Presidents are mere humans and need good to excellent advisors if s/he is to perform well. To answer your question, I think Jonathan is not the problem, but the people surrounding him... His handling of the various issues like BH, etc must have been from the advice he got from those who surround him.

The north, the Yorubas, and indeed other Nigerians who seem to shout "Jonathan Until 2015" seem to do so because they feel Nigerians are not better off under this "administration" when compared to the past leaders. Whom do you expect the people to blame? The leader and his party- on whom his policies are rested and actualized...
Do u expect him to us the army to flush out the Boko Haram then what about those who sponsors these boys. See what is happening at Syria.

Everything seems to be bad in PDP and causes laid on Jonathan even as I c him d best. He has tried at least but cannot comprehend why he has not been appreciated by many even in the midst of the growth in Nigeria.
Seeing all the abuses and condemnation attributed to Jonathan even by some PDP in North like Jigawa I have this to ask.
* Is PDP really the problem of these people
* Is Jonathan not really performing
* How many of these governors have changed the lives of people of their state.
* If Jonathan leaves to contest will PDP be a good Party
These are questions I need answers to.
PoliticsRe: What Manner Of An Opposition Party Is APC? by kipesco(m): 10:29am On Sep 02, 2014
obailala: @Op,
To correct an erroneous assumption which you made, it is ONLY in Nigeria or maybe in Africa and other third world shaky democracies that an opposition party would come out and applaud the ruling party. I suppose your model of an opposition is what we have in Labour Party and APGA or in the 2007 and 2011 elections where 30 different political parties would endorse the incumbent president as their candidate?

You cannot be blamed because you were born in a country where all your life, you have been ruled by autocratic dictators and even when we transited to 'civilian' rule, we still practised an autocratic single party system up till last year when the APC was formed. Therefore, it doesn't come as a surprise that you and most Nigerians who are 'probably' sympathetic to GEJ/PDP and who are already used to autocracy, are confused at the concept of an opposition party being a pain in the butt of the ruling party.

Just like OseghaleEbosele rightly mentioned on this thread, go and study the situation in USA (Democratic Party vs Republican Party), UK and Australia(Labour Party vs Conservative Party), France (Socialist Party vs Union for a Popular Movement), Germany (Social Democratic. Party vs Christian Democratic Union). In the UK today, for every major decision made by the prime minister, an open debate would be held in the house of parliament between the prime minister Vs. the head of the opposition party; You need to understand that that is the beauty of democracy. The kind of opposition we have in Nigeria today is even a child's play because no matter how the APC screams of criticises, the ruling party still autocratically goes ahead to do whatever it likes...

...and just before I close this, @Op, can you please give an example of one of the 'good' policies of GEJ which was opposed by APC?
Sorry to say this, last term we had two main opposition party the ACN and the CPC.
If Okorocha wins in IMO does it change his attitudes to when he conducted in APGA.
One thing is the most of these governors people put them there and if they are no longer with u, u cannot win. Why has Goodluck reconciled with Obasanjo.
APC leaders check there records and check Jonathans.

Amaechi remains the elected governor of Rivers and turning his state upside down, sending the crooked and corrupt political police commissioner and thugs like Wike to harass and intimidate the seating governor of Rivers state was not only disrespectful, but also subversive and lawless...All while the GEJ looked the other way.

What about the Governors Forum fiasco the president engineered against Amaechi? That wasn't disrespect?

Respect begets respect.
Do you know any LGA chairman dat did not support Amaechi was sacked unconstitutionally.
If Jonathan was that hash he would have forced Amaechi out of office but I think there are more problems Jona needed to solve rather wasting time on Amaechi.
Jona might not even touch Amaechi even if he wins election but what will be of Amaechi.

So many things come to the mind when this dreaded disease "Ebola" is mentioned.
What surprised me the most is how the Virus came to selected countries of Africa. It also get me wondered how those two US citizens got contacted and are responding to treatment.
Am not accusing any body but I think something is fishy some where.
Either the us are responsible for these in order to make money and also be fame or they are looking to control the whole place.
What ever it is, i believe this Ebola will stop . In the main time, adhere to the teachings of God. Jehovah God and His Christ.
