My friend shutup, all this small boys abroad running thier mouths and talking shit! im in canada earning plenty money as a software engineer..rational nigerians living abroad dont think this way. She as the wife is mandated to help him entertain his guests just as he should do the same for her irrespective of the number of times. Its unbelievable how this generation have lost thier sanity. My mum was happily doing this for my dad with the help of relatives..God bless the good old days! Funny im just 32. This generation is lost!

Hi everyone! It seems like there's no thread for work permit applicants. Just study and visit. Please is there anyone on this platform that applied for work permit visa to Canada this year? How long did it take? Your experience? Please do not ignore . Thanks so much everyone

What you need to do is apply for PNP to raise your point if you are nominated you get extra 600points, that was what I did last year and am getting positive result now, TRV should be the second option
bro,i seek for clarification. because as I undstand most PNP nomination programs are based on either working experience in that province or living in that province experience like quebec. I have never seen an applicant from nija using PNP nomination(i stand to be corrected) most app for express entry from nija are federal skilled programs with years of working experience. most students at maple land use Canada experience class if not working in Canada. so bro abeg explain how you take do your own, I fito make anoda app with dual intent sef

Mr sabi am not going to exchange words with u...u just as well repeated what am try to pass across and the problem am having with u is that u sound so sure as if u are the VO I understand it cost nothing renewing someone passport before applying provided that the expiration date is not earlier than six months, several applicants on this thread got there TRVs with such condition. I rest my case Mr.forward thinker.

Cheers.
my guy I cannot apologise for being sure. I can't still understand what you are on about,an applicant doesn't have to pay for anything to CIC for passport renewal or I don't understand your point at all. let's desist from personal attacks and help people who need it.

baba u get problem o... NOT in most cases what CIC does in most cases is that, they do not issue trv beyond the expiration date on your passport it is now left for the concernees to renew there passport and subsequently get the remaining duration left on there TRVs.
oga ur reasoning is backwards or ur simply repeating my sentence for the sake of it..PLEASE don't just read also COMPREHEND before writing. have you personally been in the situation before?NO! I have on my most recent visit. let me explain slowly.. if the duration of an applicants passport is not upto the number of years for the duration of trv requested CIC will ALWAYS in 98percent of cases issue you a letter requesting for a passport renewal except if there is another underlying issue relating with the TRV. why double wahala for something that is quite simple. damn!

Mr man, what findings do I have to make when I'm talking from experience?..thank God for ur case, for the majority of other cases CIC will request for a renewal. why wait for that or anticipate a consequence when it can be avoided? smh(i should make findings..funny guy)

You cannot renew your passport if you have more 6 months on it. My advice is when you come into Canada you can renew it at the right time and extend your study permit. I have done that before.
CIC will NOT give trv if the passport is not valid for the equivalent study duration

My passport expires July 2018. My proposed admission will be Winter 2017. What should I do? Can I re-new or I sud just apply for trv with it.
Thanks
Depends on the length of the program you are applying for. I would advice you renew your passport to avoid app delay

what is the major reason for their refusal in getting people visa
my brother I can't say. through out this year from the beginning of 2016 it's been brutal for pgd students. if you have been following this thread one major reason is because of the ease of admission compared to MSC. it takes the grace of God to get VO approval for pgd. trv is either delayed or refused outright.

Thank you so much #KISSTAYE, I really appreciate ur response . Please, what is the safest and easiest mode of paying Canadian schools tuition fee in Nigeria at present?
Bro it's form A. but the timing is the problem. I would suggest u apply via ur bank 3months before the start of your course. why I say that is because of the bidding process via cbn. the process normally takes anything from 3weeks to 2months. it's definitely a lot cheaper than black market. dollar is at 310 as at today. that's FORM A rate. before any1 else misquotes me. but if you don't have that much time then the black market rate it is. it's about 405 as at today.

Hello House,

I have read about 95% of this thread and i am really excited that i have gotten so much information.

However, i would like to know the best route to take in applying for my TRV.

Because i am paying my school fees myself but the funds i have will only cover the first year of my tuition. Is it advisable i apply as self sponsor or do i get a sponsor to stand in for me?

Note: the sponsors i have are not blood related, they are my pastor and uncle from mothers side.

Thanks for your response
first degree?? or msc?

Hello everyone! I'm new in this group. I just got BSC admission to Mount Royal University in Calgary but I deferred it to next year because I'm serving already n d time is too short to process study permit. I'm planning to start my application in April next year. Can I get the upfront medical report n police report down in February or March b4 applying or Is it possible to get those docs in five days so that I can submit them with my application at once to fast-track the process? Ur good responses will be appreciated. Gurus in the house please attend to my question.
for me a police report is not necessary,if u must do find a station dat won't collect more than 3k, that can be done in aday. the medical might take upto 10 working days and is valid for a year. so plan accordingly. cheers!

PGD is one year course in the UK with almost the same course structure as masters program and it will cost you atleast 5M naira a year to achieve that.

So you are suggesting that one should spend that much a year just to get a certificate course then spend another millions to travel to Canada to get masters?
Bro, I listed two alternatives. the UK pgd depends on the uni. most of them do it for a year like you said. my friend did his for 6months at univ of Brighton UK although UKBA gave him a visa for 8months

be reasonable. Read the instructions on the CIC website for people doing online applications and paper routes. it is stated that you have a scanner close by to scan and upload these documents. If you did not do yours and you scaled through, well, Thank God that you were passed through. another fellow may not be passed through because this may be spotted a disqualifying error. These are instructions which have been stated. Nigeria is among the nations that MUST present a police character certificate. I maintain my discretion and advice whosoever is going for an online application to scan and include this document.

again, "the phrase don't spread lies is offensive " ... does that make you the truth teller? if you are to put information across, make the right choice of words and speak else, please hold your peace. we are here to help people and not to speak harshly and shut people with a helping mindset up with offensive languages. Please, take note.
and I am telling you it is not a MUST! leave all this ur plenty talk..telling people somthing is a MUST when it is not is telling LIES. you are LYING by putting wrong info out there. I applied online without and was granted..my senior bros used paper route for a PhD 2years ago,i applied on his behalf without any police cert. and he was granted. a friend of mine applied for pgd last year with my guidance and he was granted without police report. therefore I am tellin u on Good authority that you are LYING. police report it optional. I'm yet to see someone discredited for police report.. if you can do it do it if not leave it. don't come on here and say something is a must when it's optional. your choice of words is important.

FOR ALL APPLICATIONS, POLICE CHARACTER CERTIFICATE AS IT IS CALLED (POLICE CLEARANCE) IS MANDATORY. for further inquiry, look at (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-how.asp)
THE ADDRESS WHERE IT IS DONE IN LAGOS, Central Criminal Registry Force C.I.D. Annex
Alagbon Close Ikoyi
Lagos, Nigeria

ABOUT THE PRICE, WELL IT VARIES. JUST GO THERE WITH NOT LESS THAN 20K TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE
Oo boy don't spread lies. police report is not mandatory. I did not use it and I got TRV. it is very OPTIONAL

thanks bro , getting the req minimum points under express entry is almost impossible as im in the pool , reason why i diverted to this route, but if admitted ,wont cic find a way of knowing that i m hiding my mba from them ?
they won't know. they are not God. I had a previous masters before applying for another in maple land and I was given TRV. alternatively if it's too much of a risk you can declare the MBA in your cic app I don't think they will refuse you once you have your admission letter.

hello house, can i use my MBA in Nigeria to apply for masters in Canny?
having lost my last application BSc for PGD with 6 years experience , whats the hope of getting a trv with MBA for MSc ...

abeg , e jooo, donallah, biko, reply me oo
since you have working experience, why don't you look into federal skilled worker, express entry program? or if you are bent on going thru study email some schools first with your bsc and MBA certificate and ask them if they would be willing to take you in for a masters which relate with your bsc field. Now ur application to the uni will be on the strength of your MBA. if they reply you positively via email fine ur good to apply to the uni. but when admitted and u are to apply to CIC do not use ur MBA cert. just use ur BSC to send in the app to CIC.

Yes.

You have a chance to improve your CGPA then apply for a course at appropriate level that gives you much much better chance of getting study permit

Yes you have 3rd class today but that is not the end of life for you, you don't have to apply for Canadian study permit now.
nah man, you have been making sense but I don't buy that last comment. if you want to advice be specific and not generic. improving cgpa how?? he/she cannot go for an undergrad again na! my two cents would be to do a PDG in a reputable uni here..UNILAG,IBADAN etc or if the person has funds go for 6months PGD in the UK like a friend of mine did before crossing over to Canada. all hope can never be lost. there is always a specific solution

@justwise are u saying people with 3rd class or CGPA that cant get Masters admission should just forget about applying for visa?? Just asking
lots of people have gone through pdg route in the past but the last 6 to 8 months goin through pgd route seems to be a ticket to automatic refusal or delay. I would suggest getting a PGD in a reputable uni in Nigeria here,UNILAG,ABU,IBADAN etc before firing for a masters. the condition in the last couple of months with the CanadianV.Os seem to be massive refusals or delays for pple goin toCanada for PGD or certificate programs.
