You guys have got to be very careful using a FlightSim if you wish to train to become Pilots.  Using it could easily make you develop bad flying habits and you really do NOT want that.  It's better to look at it when you commence your flight training.

The ground subjects are just as important as flight training in preparation for the Private Pilot's Licence, CPL or ATPL.  Most aviation schools in the West haven't got a well-organised Ground School, hence I suggest you start studying those subjects from now.  That would give you a head-start when the course commences.  You would find that you would have very little time to prepare for those exams as you are too busy trying to get to grips with the flight training.

I don't know who else I could help if I can not help my fellow-Nigerians.  I believe that help would come to you when you help others.  I don't believe in selfishness because one can not do everything by the one's self.  Moreover, I have got everything that I need in life - everything, so, have no need to be selfish. 

Hopefully, you managed to grab some of the material in that other coded link.  Try and grab what's in the latest one.

Just remember that you need to keep an eye open on the job openings for SAP Consultants in Nigeria (and within the African Continent).  This is what would help you decide on which module to train into, and of course, in conjuction with your academic or professional background.

Finally, you guys MUST co-operate with each other.  Please do.  I would like to see at least ten SAP Certified Consultants from this Forum within the next twelve months.  I know that it is possible, because we are Nigerians.

You sound as though you are bitter.  Why?

Why don't you keep an open mind to the marriage, instead of constantly expecting the worst?  Just hope for the best and take things as they come.  Never think negative of your marriage and what might happen in the future.

As regards his helping you with the domestic chores, put your arm round him and in a loving manner, just say to him:

could you please give me a hand with some of the household chores?

You then go on to say:

I'm not forcing you to and you don't have to help me if you don't want to, it's just that I feel so tired having to do everything, especially with me having to go to work as well as studying.

The way you put it across to him would make him feel guilty and from then onwards, would wish to help.  Just ask nicely and I guarantee you that he would definitely help-out and indeed, be happy to do so. 

Never, ever lose your cool - be calm but firm.

I implemented IDES 4.6C SR2 with the 4.7 kernel on my PC.  You do NOT need this.

You need to get the IDES for the version of the SAP certification exms that you are pursuing, namely IDES ECC 6.0.  Your exams would require knowledge of that specific version of the software.

I'm surprised that you guys lost the opportunity that was gazing at you.  I think it's been well-over two weeks since I gave the coded link.  Now the website is down and nobody knows for sure as to when it would come back up.  I doubt it very much, if it ever would. 

I did my very best for all of you so, can not do anymore.  If it's any use to you, check this out and grab it asap.

You can't just move there.  Can you?

You need to go and visit first, inorder to see things for yourself and then make up your mind.  That would be the best way to go about it.

Ensure that you've got good skills before moving to Nigeria, if you have to.  People there are highly educated and so, it would be very competitive in the job market.

One more thing is that you would really need to be smart to live in Nigeria.  Never be gullible and trusting.  Always be aware of yourself and surroundings.  In short, be wise and never be too trusting.  I definitely would, even though a Nigerian.

Personally, I wouldn't rely on information from other people, as you know, moving to a different country is such a big upheaval.

Most sorry to hear that the link is down.

There must have been a run on it.  The IDES that you referred to, on e-Bay, is not ECC 6.0.  Rather, it is IDES 4.7.  Again, I simply do not trust those buggers because once you've given them your money, that's it.  Be careful.

The coded link was put up a very long time ago, and as you know, nothing remains permanent on the Internet.  It's a matter of grabbing it whilst it's there before it disappears.

That place was a treasure trove for SAP.  Surely, you must have got something from there, didn't you?  All of you had been very quiet so, naturally, I assumed that you were busy beevering away in that place, getting as much as you could but, it appears that I was wrong. 

Let me know if you or anyone wants the IDES 4.7 and I would code the link here.  By the way, there isn't much difference between ECC 6.0 and this one, in terms of the populated data.

In my opinion, the Chinese girls are the best - the very best.  They are very loving, affectionate and extremely fit with nice small arses.  They would scream the whole house down whilst kicking their legs up in the air.  They really know how to be with a man and cook the most healthy food.  I loved my Chinese woman but she went back to China for good after her studies.     

English girls - they are very loving and affectionate but their love doesn't last long.  They would say they love you today but can easily say they don't love you anymore, tomorrow (just like that!), if you hurt them badly.  A lot of them are very sincere though - and would be prepared to stand by you, no matter what, if you are good to them.  I've been out with many of them and do like them because you know where you stand with them.  They are also very passionate in bed.  A lot of them would never love you for your money.  I gave one of them a bunch of flowers (21 red roses) because I wronged her and she came running back like magic.  So there.   

Asian girls (Indians and Pakistanis) - well, my experience with them is also positive.  They are affectionate but always like to hide their relationship with you so that nobody finds out, for fear of rejection by their families.  The Asian men would stare at you all the time for going out with their girls and so, you are always on edge and never get to truly know how much love the girl has for you.  I like the Asians, me.

Mixed race girls - very beautiful and loving but too temperamental for my liking.  Ideally, I would prefer to settle down with one of them because they've got the best of both worlds.  Moreover, she would easily relate to you.  I met one last Friday night but couldn't hit it off with her because I've just met this nice Maltese woman.  A bird in hand is worth two in the bush they say.

Black girls - Nigerians - I've only ever been with one.  She was my childhood sweetheart.  Extremely loving and affectionate.  She tolerated me a lot even though she knew I was messing about (I was too young then, you see).  I wish I had married that girl.  Maybe she's in this Forum who knows.  I've never been out with any other Nigerian girl ever since.

Black girls -West Indians - they know how to be with a man (and can cook very well) but have got an evil temper on them.  One day, they are as good as gold, the next day, they are just evil with a vile temper.  By the way, the only person that has taken me to the cleaners in this country was a Jamaican girl.  I gave her £9000 to take her name off the deeds of the house, in addition to the fact that she cleaned me out.  She took everything from the house.  Never again would I have the time of day for them.

Black girls - Ethiopians - I gave a bunch flowers to my beautiful Ethiopian woman and she just chucked it in the bin.  Great!  No idea of love.  Just so very beautiful but have a tendency to stab their partners with knives.  Watch out if you are going out with an Ethiopian girl.  She was an Amhara. 

Black girls - South Africans - the one I went out with was a Zulu.  Zulu women are very jealous and possessive but very loving and affectionate.  I've no complaints about them except the extreme jealousy.

Black girls - Rwandese - this Tutsi girl that I went out with was so, so loving.  Most affectionate, if I may say so.  Really stunning like all the Tutsis.  She was a refugee and buggered off to America because her sisters wanted her to go and live there.  In fact I took a week-end trip to the States, just to see her.     

German girls - some look like dykes to me with un-shaven armpits and some are very slim.  My mate swears that they are very loving.

Dutch girls - I've only ever been out with one and although affectionate, she was too much of a feminist for my liking.  She drove all the way from Holland to the UK.

Italian girls - went out with one but it was too brief.  I would say affectionate but I was too scared of her deep down.  She taught the Napolitan police how to shoot guns and I don't know anything about guns, so, felt very uncomfortable with her.  Very romantic though, I must say.  She wouldn't even let me help do the dishes after we had eaten, something with which I didn't feel comfortable.   

Maltese girls - I've just met one and we've dated only twice although we regularly e-mail each other.  She's showing some affection but it's early days yet.  I have the feeling she would be possessive because of the things she says to me.  Such things as 'you know everybody here' 'I'm sure you had no problems finding dance partners' as well as questioning every little thing that I tell her.  I think she might find it hard to trust me even before we started because she's just a jealous person.

East European girls - Russians, Poles, Czechs, Lithuanians, Croatians, Armenians - all crap in my view.  No love but money, money, money.  The Czech girls are extremely slim and beautiful though.  They make the Russian women look like dogs.  The Lithuanian girls have got such beautifully rounded arses.  I could shag all of them for their beautiful arses.  I don't care about boobs - just a nice arse would do me.

African-American girls - I've never been out with any.  I don't know whether they love their men or not but I had a bad experience with one when I went over to the States.  I met this girl in the night club in Manhattan and initially said I would like to take her home.  Later on, I changed my mind and she threathened to blow my head off!  Wasn't I scared?  Go figure!

White American girls - I don't know.  Never dated them.

Latino girls - Spaniards, Cubans, Puerto Ricans etc - I've only ever been out with two Spanish girls.  They were feminists and I didn't like that.  One of them was good fun to be with.  The other was screwd up in her head with family problems and so never showed much affection.  Very hairy though and I love hairy women.  Big bush and I'm happy.  The others are just not my cup of tea even though I meet them all the time in the salsa clubs.  Salsa is my favourite music and dance.

Yeah, you are right, I never ever used to mention God's name in my house, let alone go to Church to pray.  Never been to Church in all the years that I've lived in the UK.  I'm just an easy-going, care-free person that's been spoilt by Western decadence.

One thing though, I've always, always shown a lot of kindness to people, so maybe that's one thing that's going in my favour.

I'll try and get an mp3 version or video clip of the prayer 'Ruqiah' that you mentioned.  I'll do anything for the jinns never to come back because I get distressed by the whole experience.  I have never done any harm to anybody in my life, never, so, why should they manifest themselves to me?  I didn't do anything to invite them into my house either - I wouldn't dare!  I just don't understand.

I only ever used to call my mum (and grandma's) name in the house because I miss them and wished that they were alive and living with me here, in my house.  You know how it is - you miss your mum terribly especially if she died whilst you were a kid and so, never got to know her.  Still, life goes on.

I only ask for Allah's protection because He is the Creator and knows best.

Pardon me for I am not a Moslem but here to convey something to everybody.

I feel that it is appropriate for me to tell you something very important, regarding my most favourite Surat in the Qu'ran.  This story of mine has got a lot to do with this thread.  So, please be patient and read on.

I am a Christian by birth but I've also got a Moslem name which I changed to, voluntarily, by deed poll at a Solicitor's in Burnley (UK), back in 1990.  I liked the name, hence changed to it.  The Moslem name had ever since, stuck with me, in addition to my Christian name.  I now answer to both names. 

I had never stepped into a Mosque either, in all my life, until just a few days ago.  I can not read the Qu'ran, neither can I read Arabic.  I originate from the Niger Delta but live abroad and have done so for many, many years.

Here's my story and how the Surat AYAT-AL KURSI has protected me from jinns (ghosts) in my house.  I live alone in my house but do have a girlfriend.  I've lived in this house for many years.

Back in 2004, I was trying to print a document from a website on the Internet.  The document got printed but I was amazed to find another document that also got printed at the same time.  The document had strange characters on it that I had never ever, seen before.  However, the printer had deciphered the strange characters and made sense of it such that I could read the message on it.

On seeing this, I began to cry, thinking that perhaps my late mum who died when I was a kid was trying to make contact with me.  Needless to say, I showed the strange document to my friends here in the UK as well told my family and friends in the USA and Canada.  This was how I left it and kept the document in my briefcase.   

A week or so later, I was trying to print a document, this time, not from the Internet, but a document that I had just written.  I was very much aware of the document that got printed previously so, was a bit nervous this time.  Anyway, the printer started printing so, I looked towards the printer to see the document that was being printed.  Surprisingly, the same strange document was being printed again!  I then took a look at my print spool, and to my utter surprise, the original document that I wanted to print had been paused.  Yes, someone had put a tick on the 'pause' box.  I never ever did it - all I wanted was to print my document so simply clicked 'print', as you would.  I didn't know where that pause came from because I didn't do it.

Anyway, I swiftly called my mate Dave, and told him about it.  He was shocked, saying that it was weired.  I also told other friends of mine and family members.  My Indian friend in Canada was also amazed.  Anyway, that was that.  I just filed both documents in a folder and left them in my briefcase.  I've still got those two strange documents up 'til now. 

One thing I'll have to say is that I never, ever get scared because I have never harmed anybody in my life.  I couldn't see the reason as to why I should be scared.  Moreover, this was a new house that I bought and had lived there from day one.  The house is built on an old mill in a small private estate.  Anyway, I just carried on with my usual care-free life.  Happy-go-lucky as ever, with no cares in the world.

After these two events, things started to manifest themselves in my house, most noticeably late last year.  Sometimes, as I got up from bed to go to the toilet, I could hear the door handle in my bedroom creak, as if someone was opening the door for me.  The door never got opened but it was definitely making noise as though, someone was trying to open the door.  I could also hear very loud bangs in the third bedroom which is my office, sometimes, on the landing as well.  The dishes (plates) in the kitchen would also clatter at times.

Early this year, I noticed that the toilet started to smell badly even though I hadn't been to the toilet.  There is no window in my toilet, only an expel-air that starts off, the moment you switch on the toilet light.  It had always diffused the smell after going to the loo.

The smell from the toilet was over-powering as you walked up the stairs.  This was happening, even though I hadn't been to the toilet, and with the toilet doors open.  I just couldn't understand where the smell was coming from.  I tried all forms of toilet freshners but the smell was always there.  Anyway, I just ignored it for a bit but wasn't happy about it because I couldn't understand where it was coming from.

Things came to a head mid-March of this year.  Yes, things began to manifest themselves properly to me in March.  You see, I was working in my kitchen with the earphones of my mobile phone plugged into my ears and listening to my favourite music.  This was in the afternoon.  

All of a sudden, I heard a wolf whistle in my right ear! - a wolf whistle is the name given to the type of whistling that a guy does when he sees a beautiful girl that's walking down the road, if you see what I mean.  The whistling was very faint the first time I heard it.  Within a second or so, I heard the whistling again, but much louder, this time.  Typical of me, I ignored it but was amazed, to say the least.  In fact, I smiled a bit because, as I said before, I never get frightened of such things being that I had never harmed anybody in all my life.  I just couldn't see why I should be scared.

The biggest amazement of my life occured on the 2nd of April, this year, at around 2.15 pm.  As usual, I was working in my kitchen, whilst listening to music from my mobile phone with the earphones on.  All of a sudden, the music stopped and a male voice rang out in my right ear, saying:

'No more sound'

I was shocked, utterly shocked, to say the least.  I quickly pulled out the earphone from my right ear, looked at it and then plugged it back into my right ear and screamed out loudly, saying:

'Go away'

This was the end of it for me because ever since that day, I refused to listen to music in my mobile phone as I didn't want to go through that experience again.

Anyway, that evening, I sought help by going to a Nigerian gentleman whom I consider to be my Godfather.  He then rang up a priestess who also happens to be Nigerian but actually lives in London.  She then prayed for me over the phone and asked me never to be scared.  Both of them gave me passages in the Bible to read.

Needless to say, I didn't even have a Bible so, went and bought one from the bookshop.  I then began to read the specific passages that were recommended to me - Psalm 3:1, 23:1, 25.1, 144:1, Numbers 14:1, Matthew 6:9.  Some of the above verses were ones that I got from the Internet.  I particularly had to memorise 'The Lord's Prayer' because I had forgotten it from when I got taught about the Bible as a kid, back in Nigeria.

I felt comfortable and happy to know that I was reciting those verses in the Bible before going to bed and in the mornings as I woke up.  I kept the Bible under my pillow.  I had also learnt how to make Holy Water (thanks to the Internet and Youtube) and was using it to sprinkle my house. 

I felt that the presence in the house wasn't strong anymore.  A lot of the activities such as the loud bangings on the floorboards upstairs (this used to be quite frequent at times), the loud noise on the landing, as well as plates clattering in the kitchen, all seemed to have subsided. 

However, I still felt that there was some presence in the house.  I could feel it, although I can swear that nobody ever touched me at night or anything like that.  I was always able to sleep peacefully, without any harm, I must say.

Still, I knew that things weren't quite right.  I knew it.  So, I tried other forms of protection recommended on the Internet, such as smudging with sage, placing sea salt in each room, burning incense in the house, placing nails on my window sills, placing a knife on top of each doorway and so on.

Even then, things would quieten down for a bit and start all over again.  One night, I was working until 12 midnight and just as I was about to pack up and go upstairs to bed, I heard this almighty bang on the kitchen work-top.  A massive bang I must say.  I looked around and swore, to somehow, find out who it was that was doing this and what they wanted from me, saying that I never invited any of them into my house and that they shouldn't be there without my invitation, in the first place. 

Anyway, I wasn't fazed but got some crosses from my friend who is a Catholic and lives in Huddersfield.  He advised me to hang the crosses in all the bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and toilet, which I did.

After this, everything seemed to have gotten quiet for a while (no more strange smell from the toilet either) but I just couldn't relax because, sometimes, I felt that I was being watched in the toilet.  I even took a photograph of my toilet and seemed to notice something like a blue shower curtain in the corner of the toilet, reflecting on the tiles.  By the way, I haven't got a shower in my bathroom.  So, anyway, I left it at that.

One day, I decided to speak to my Asian friends about it.  These guys are Moslems (some are possibly Hindus) and there's a Mosque that's not too far from my house - about a mile away, if that.  They advised me to go and see the Imam in the Mosque and that he would help me.  I was asked to take my shoes off before going into the Mosque.  Luckily, one of them offered to take me there, so, off we went, just over a week ago.

When we got to the Mosque, my guide went to pray whilst I stood there waiting for him.  Anyway, I decided to ask someone as to whether I could possibly see the Imam.  I was then advised to wait until after the prayers.  I waited and eventually, the Imam was told about me so, I went up to him as he came to the lobby.  I then told him about my problems, specifically mentioning the presence of 'jinn' in my house and the type of things that I had noticed over a period of time.

Unfortunately, the Imam told me that he couldn't help me because he hadn't had such an experience in the past.  How so disappointed I was!  So, so disappointed because I felt that the Imam would have been able to help me, going by what my Moslem friends told me.

Anyway, with that disappointment, I decided to do some research on the Internet and luckily found out about Al-Baqarah:255, from an online Moslem website.

There, I read that the Ayat-Al Kursti is the most powerful verse in the Qu'ran.  I also learnt a lot about jinns there.  I then went off to download some questions and answers given on that website.  In some of the answers, they also recommended calling the name 'Bismillah' if faced with specific problems.

I also went to Youtube to view video clips of Ayat-Al Kursti and indeed, downloaded some of the video clips to my computer, from where I transferred them to my mobile phone.

Praise be to Allah, my problems with jinns (ghosts) completely stopped, the moment I started playing 'Ayat-Al Kursti' both on my computer and mobile phone.  I listen to it in the morning and at night, just before going to bed.  Over time, I hope to memorise and recite it.

EVERYTHING HAS STOPPED!  I MEAN EVERYTHING AND THERE'S NO MORE JINN IN MY HOUSE.  NO MORE!!  THANKS BE TO ALLAH.

Fellow Nigerians, please remember this story of mine and never forget to memorise the Ayat-al Kursti.  Personally, I will always play/recite it in my house as long as I live.  There's no more jinn in my house and everything is peaceful now.

Fear not my people, fear not.

Key loggers are just that - basic, crude things, be they hardware or software-based key loggers.  Never feel threathened by them because there is a walk-around for those nasties.

I do all my banking, credit card transactions, mortgage, insurance, and so on, totally online, without fear.  Never been defeated by those nasties. 

Now, Nairalanders, key loggers can only log the keys that you've typed on the keyboard.  Here's what to do:

1.  Type in your details as usual (e.g. name and address, bank account number, credit card number and so on) but here lies the trick to defeating those useless programs:

ADD EXTRA NUMBERS AND LETTERS TO THE END OF THE DETAILS THAT YOU'VE JUST TYPED IN.  Yeah, you heard me - type in extra numbers and letters to the end of every detail that you are filling in.  This must be done on a line-by-line basis.  It's no use just doing this for the first line.  Do this for EVERY line on which you are filling in your detail.   The stupid key logger would have registered those fake details.  Buggers! 

2.  Next, you take your CURSOR to the beginning of the fake details that you had just typed in.  I said the beginning of those fake details.  Okay?  The beginning of the fake numbers or whatever.
 
3.  Now, HIGHLIGHT those fake details by dragging your mouse across them and press 'Delete' on your keyboard and voila! you've fooled those thieving bastards with their key loggers.

You might want to know as to how that is possible.  Right?  The simple answer is that key loggers can not register the click of a mouse.  Pure and simple.

Now, my people, take me to the pub and buy me a bottle of Smirnof Ice because I've saved your arses from those fraudulent plonkers that are roaming the Internet.

Your problem doesn't sound like a connectivity issue to me.

You said:

some systems will just restart themselves without been restarted .some disconnect from the timer and never to connect again for the next few days.

Classic signs of a virus-infected system.  I have the feeling that some people might have downloaded and extracted files that are infected by virus (remember it's an Internet Cafe).

Even if there are what you call 'signal issues', the computers should never shut down or re-boot automatically.  Neither should they disconnect automatically from the usage timer.

Best thing is to deal with one problem at a time before going on to the connectivity issues, if any.  Here's what I suggest that you do:

1.  Install a good anti-virus software on all the computers when your customers have gone home.  Possibly at night.  If you haven't got any anti-virus software, go get the latest version of 'AVG Free Edition'.  It's very good.

2.  Whilst at it, also get Zone Alarm (the latest one) and install it on all the machines.  It's also free.

After installing the above-mentioned, scan all the machines and then re-boot.  See how it goes and report back asap.  Don't worry, everything would be sorted.

Simple answer - if all else fails, use KNOPPIX to recover all the files even though the system wouldn't get past the Windows logo. 

Knoppix would by-pass that screen and display all your files which you could recover, as long as the hard drive is not completely dead.  Once the data had been recovered, you would then go ahead to re-install the Operating System.

Coming from an Electronics/Electrical Engineering background, I would take a good look at

-  RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
-  Plant Maintenance (PM)
-  IS-Oil and Gas (perhaps)
-  IS-Retail (hoping to work for a big electronics company that uses SAP)
-  Materials Management (MM)

That said, you should carefully take a look at your background to see where any of the above fits as well as the job opportunities for that specific module.

As I've always said, I do NOT live in Nigeria so don't know what's happening there, let alone the SAP job market.  Maybe others could help here.

Dude, before you reinstall your OS, which I won't suggest you do at this point consider trying to repair Windows first using your WIN XP CD.  If that doesn't work, see if you can recover your data from the HD by making it a slave drive on another PC.  And if that still doesn't work in retrieving your data, then I'm afraid your next option is the reinstall your entire OS.  I would try repairing Windows first cause if it's booting all the way to the Windows' splash screen like you stated, you might still be able to repair it.  In future, you might want to consider backing up your important data quite often (preferably on an external drive).  Good luck.  Peace!

Please be informed that in organisations where SAP R/3 is being freshly implemented, Consultants work in Project Teams comprising both Functional and Technical Consultants.

"ERP can be categorized into 2 main subsets. One is the domain knowledge of business that the functional teams use to configure business flows and processes. This requires prior experience in the business world

Basically what that means is that there are two key areas (functional and technical), comprising an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, in this case, SAP R/3.

The functional area requires a thorough knowledge of business processes (e.g. the accounting function, logistics function, production planning function, materials management function, sales and distribution function, and so on) to successfully configure the SAP R/3 software.

Functional consultants use their skills in the area of their expertise (e.g. FI/CO), to configure that specific module in the SAP R/3 System.  In order to do this, the Consultant is deemed to have a thorough knowledge of business process flows.

A simple example of the business process in Sales and Distribution (SD) is the receipt of a sales order from a new customer for a non-standard product.  It starts with the creation of a master record for the new customer in the sales department.  This is then followed by a materials requirement planning (since this order is not for a standard product), material purchases to meet the required production, production planning, issuance of the materials from the warehouse to the production department, manufacturing the product, the transfer of the finished goods from the production floor to the warehouse.  Finally, this is followed by the despatch of the goods from the warehouse to the customer (logistics), invoicing the customer, as well as the necessary accounting documentation and entries in the books of the vendor for sales, returns, discounts and so on.

The second, and which does not require any prior domain knowledge is the technical configuration, which can be divided into programming services(ABAP), core system admin (Basis) and Security and role design (which does require domain knowledge for role design)."

The other aspect of SAP R/3 is the technical area.  Such things as BASIS (Enterprise Portal), NetWeaver (ABAP) and so on.

Technical areas include the implementation of SAP R/3 on a landscape.  This is the work done by BASIS (Enterprise Portal) Consultants.  Programming the SAP R/3 software to meet a client's specific needs is done by ABAP (NetWeaver) Consultants.

You do definitely need a strong programming knowledge to train into ABAP (NetWeaver).  I certainly can not do it because I don't have a programming background. 

As regards the implementation of SAP R/3, I also strongly believe that you would need to have some technical background in IT.  This is so because you would be doing work that involves mainstream IT before implementing the product - such things as editing the hosts file, entering the IP loopback address, to name but only a few.

You would also need some technical knowledge of either SAPDB, Oracle, MS SQL or DB2.  This is so because these databases run at the back-end of SAP R/3.  You would definitely need to administer such a database.

Most of all, you would need to follow the implementation guides to the letter.  This is a must!  That said, nothing is insurmountable if you have the desire to succeed.  It just needs a lot of hard grafting and preparation.
 
The experience that you would gain from implementing SAP R/3 on your PC is second to none.  It makes you become very confident.  The IMG is where it's all happening.  Customising the IMG no longer frightens you simply because you implemented it. 

SAP Security would need a strong technical and functional knowledge of the SAP R/3 System.  The same argument goes with SAP Audits.  I can not see how anybody could implement a successful security policy (or indeed perform an audit of the SAP R/3 System) without having a thorough knowlege of BOTH the technical and functional areas.   

So, its not only easier, but makes more sense to break into technical as a new person"

I don't know about that because it very much depends on the one's academic or professional background more than anything else.  My advice is to train into the module (functional or technical) that maps to your background.  This is crucially important to remember.  Better still if you could implement the product on your PC.

Did I?

I never advised anybody against the CISSP or CISM.  Indeed, my Indian friend passed the CISSP exams about four years ago and she is now one of the top Security Consultants with a global accounting firm. 

That said, though, I personally do not like theoretical qualifications because I believe in hands-on experience.  The CISSP is a theoretical qualification, hence I've got no time for it.  Instead, I trained to become a Cisco Security Expert, amongst others.
