Danso:

I am equally into supply and marketing of petroleum products. Also i have contacts of cheaper sources of products. Furthermore, I possess an Independent Marketing License from NNPC/PPMC and lifting rights from some private depots. Anyone interested in partnering with me to utilize these opportunities and maximize profits, you are welcome.

dpr issues licenses, not ppmc/nnpc. U don't need lifting rights to load at any private depot. anybody that can pay, can load

publicview:

Stack your 2.5million in neat bundle, Grab a very good corporate lawyer, Head straight to Femi Otedola, or Jimoh Ibrahim.

Enter into an agreement with them to invest this sum and watch your money grow.

Lets i forget, if you cant access a good lawyer, i can arrange that.

If Zenon needed equity investment, they would raise capital anywhere in the world, they don't need ur N2.5m or ur wahala

berryhill:

How much is a 23 million litre storage tank for petrol on a 200 square metre selling?
I am planning on openning a petrol depor

berryhill, most private depots for sale start at N5 billion, if u want to build one, budget around N2-3 billion and 2 years.

mayornaize:

After this, I will give you a regular supply customer of 20,000 liters of diesel monthly to start with and connect you to Oil companies that will give you unadulterated disesel at a reduced price that will give you a higher return on your investment.

wtf? what is 20,000 liters monthly?

dmprince:

"on the spot sale" where u sell Diesel as in D2 on a basis of on the spot contract and u can still sign a contract for 12 months and u collect ur monthly pay for the next 12 months.

in order to conduct spot sales, u have to be in control of the product (ship load). If u r a broker, which i suspect u r, u can go 10 years w/o brokering one deal b/c the market for that in nigeria is perfect. i.e. those that can actually finance shiploads, already have many brokers in place.

The bottom line is that there is a lot of fraud in this sector and it is perpetrated by individuals that claim what they don't know and sell what they don't have.

Man, this is touching, really makes me want to turn a new leaf.

Sunnyjean, you should have just taken her advice and met her the next day. you know what they say about curiosity and the cat.

Theres nothing anybody in this forum is going to tell you that will make you move on from a girl you proposed to. Just be a man, keep ur emotions indoors and don't even waste your time asking her why.

Also, you can forgive her but don't take her back.

Properties / BE MY FLAT MATE IN LEKKI by kizzymack(m): 6:50pm On Feb 15, 2009
I'm looking for a pad in Lekki, nothing extravagant, b/c I'll be there only on the weekends.

I have looked at some places, mostly studios and i'm not impressed with thier sizes. I want to rent something like a 3 bedroom apt or a semi-detached, I need 2 other individuals to join me in finding a place. (i.e., common living areas and each to his/her bedroom).

I need gainfully employed individuals (i.e. you have a well-paying job/business/gig), that are clean, laid back, have respect for each other and like to have fun (this will be my weekend pad, so plz, no party poopers). I'm in my mid-20s.

I'm looking for a place on 1st or 2nd roundabout. I figure if we join up, it makes the space more interesting and possibly cheaper.

Please email me @ anyixl@yahoo.com or post on this thread and we can talk further to see if we are compatible. Please NO AGENTS!

Thanks

@ liliput

if the transport co. is genuine, then go ahead with it, but, i'm surprised that you don't know the details of what you are being offered. I am in the same business and will oblige you with an elaboration.

Costs:
Tank constructuction: 1.2m
Back Axle: 0.8m
Tractor (capable of doing lagos-kaduna weekly): 4.4m

this is how your N6m will be applied.

Now, on the issue of you getting returns of N800k monthly. that is ambitious!!

it is not impossible, but its ambitious. You would make N800k in a month if there are no downtimes on your truck, and this is impossible because trucks always have one issue or the other that must be addressed before they resume work. Now, when you're signing this contract, make sure your lawyer reviews it thouroughly for this caveat, otherwise the transporter will consistently declare downtimes and you will take home circa N300k a month, if they are really nice.

The reason why the transporter can afford to pay you N800k if everything goes well is because they make money on the product you are carrying and they pay you for transportation.

Now, let's assume your truck does Lagos-Kaduna four times monthly (which is above average, it should be more like 3x). transport to kaduna is N300k, less diesel costs, trip allowance for driver, state union dues and you're left with 120k-150k. let's take 150k and multiply it by 4 trips monthly. what is accruable to your truck is 600k. this is the base case scenario. N800k is a stretch, but if you can get it, more grease to your elbows.

you can contact me if you require more info.

all the best.

Guys,

This show is part of the worldwide promotional tour, targeted at generation X consumers in non-english speaking countries.

it is hoped that mode9 will help facilitate the use of the english language in this part of the world, and will help bring about general understanding of both the english, mandarin and nigerian cultures. this in turn will promote world peace and bring about sustainable economic development.

this is in line with the mode9's not for profit motto and will involve the unchecked usage of mind numbing metaphors.

So, please support him.

Have any of you men turned on the water works just to impress a girl to to pretend to be hurt by something she did or said?

@ sistawoman

i think the permissible reasons for that act of irresponsibility is:

1. Death of a loved one
2. Loss of a championship (or something you've put your all into)

Any guy that cries in front of a girl for reasons other than the aforesaid is a disgrace & has no self-respect.
there is nothing impressive about that. I mean what are your boys for? what is liquer for? it's better to see a shrink and bare it all outside and be the man in the relationship.

i mean if your crying, what dyu expect her to do? she'll prolly start wailing away too because that one doesn't take time and what dyu have - a pathetic situation and no man to take charge.

Most of the time they are crocodile tears, if i genuinely hurt her and have conscience call, i usually just say sorry.

Anyway, I always end relationships over the phone,

So, when they start ballin, I cut the phone off and go b-ballin.

Abeg make I run down this guy small because what I see in this picture is a perfect example of why there is no point being an artist if ur not a commercial artist… Take for instance on modenine’s part:

1. No bling (hey modenine, what time is it? grin)
(Take a cue from from Faze - that one wears 2 @ the same time, on the same hand - did u guys see him @ the thisday event?)

2. Nothing on his table (dude is jobless, no shows), not even a smoothie (dude is hungry, no shows)

3. If I didn’t know better I’d say modenine was one of the fans: at least put on shades, form small… cool, eh heh!

4. On other threads in this forum, there are sightings of modenine jumping on molues all over lagos… cheesy

Notica, your a loser!

Take a good look at yourself man, your unemployed, even if you're making N39,000 a month @ 27 years old - your a clown!!!

Older girls (that is 20+) see right through you and know that your not worth their time, that is why you have chosen charge your insecurities on the poor girl. You don't deserve her.

instead of hustling to get yourself out of your squalor, your on the computer declaring your love for a 17yo student.

Jobs/Vacancies / Business Development Manager For Downstream Petro Coy (contract Hire) by kizzymack(m): 12:03pm On Jul 29, 2008
A large independent marketer of petroleum products with several filling stations across the country is looking to hire a BDO on contract basis for 2-3 months with a renewal option.

The company is looking to expand its business in lagos, especially in the area of depot sales and purchases.

The person must have at least 1 year experience working in the middle office of a downstream oil coy (preferably one with storage facility), and must have good knowledge of downstream sector operations in lagos for the pms/dpk/ago.

Fresh corpers that served for a qualifying coy are welcome to apply.
Permanent hire opportunities will be extended to current employees of qualifying coys.

Please send all correspondences to anyixl@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Theres seems to be a lot of oil gurus on here so here is a poser for y'all,

A friend of mine has a bank facility for approx. N75m to trade pms/ago/dpk in lagos.

He has an offer from a tank operator in apapa to become a dealer under their company but they are offering him only N1 discount.

Can he get into offshore importing w/ that kind of money? prolly not right?
Can he get a better offer from any employees of the oil traders in apapa that may read this undecided

What dyu recommend he does?

Thanks.

i tried to do the exact same thing last year, so i was pleasantly surprised when i saw this post.

from my findings/research = it woun't work

the only markets savvy enough to pay >N500 for a latte is V/I, Lagos Island and Abuja and you will find that rental prices/power generation, even on a incy wincy piece of real estate will price out all the margin on that latte.

anyway, nothing is impossible, it all comes down to ur business model.

best of luck.
Travel / I Just Came Back From London Via Dubai by kizzymack(m): 2:27pm On Jul 18, 2008
I just came back from London via Dubai, (thanks to funkybaby et. al for visa advice (that thread actually works))…

Some odd things I observed at the Dubai airport:

1. Red cap chiefs sleeping on the floor at the Dubai airport (oh the indignity!!)
2. Chinese folks walking around with surgeon masks on (whats all that about?, I thought they had cured the bird flu thingy)
3. a whole oba in full traditional regalia with a 2 man strong entourage in economy class with the likes of me (oba looked even funnier sweating it out w/ us in the baggage claim, his beads feel off… my guess is that if he had dressed like the nobody he is, he wouldn’t have looked humiliated)
4. idiot nigerians punching each other on the dxb-los flight (can u imagine that shit – fighting on the plane, and these guys were prolly in their late thirties)

wetin? Nigerians are really something…
