Ok, here is wat i was told today.....i called someone who works in d hr dept in lag nd her exact words were '' so d portal was still open till now??, well d interview invite wld start rolling out next week nd d interviw process wld span 4 4-6 weeks,(other conversations were irrelevant)''........

5 DPR branches? I think DPR has an office in all states of the federation including the HQ in Lagos and I think 5 field offices- if that's what you meant.

As for postings, it's a federal govt job so I'm guessing you can be posted to any state, how ever- There maybe consideration as to your course of study and business need.

The little I know also is- DPR staff are sometimes attacked to nnpc offices. rigs, IOCs and so on. So if you're posted to say Lagos, you may not necessarily work in the main office everyday.


These are my thoughts but some are more informed on this platform than I am so let's hope they'll respond too.

Well you are entitled to your opinion. however, let me take down the last two recruitments DPR had conducted.

1) 2006- DPR advert and in 2008 January, new recruits resumed
2) 2010- DPR advert and 2013 first quarter, new recruits resumed

going by that, this recruitment which began 2016 might see recruits resuming early next year.

I don't know why some persons hate it when others are optimistic. some of us are here always advising people to move on, if you've moved on, why are you always checking for updates on nairaland? and for you sir, since you are sure its 2019, why not forget about this thread until 2019?

1) 2006 + 2 = 2008
2) 2010 + 3 = 2013
therefore;
3) 2016 + (4) = (2020)....

owerri handled activities arnd d eastern part, d offshore shld be handled by those in PH, since its d coastal areas....buh if by offshore u mean oda field services....den d max i experienced is 2 days, tho previous IT guys said dey spent up to 10 smtyms...buh it wasnt like dat my time....cnt ansa d 2nd....

In der zonal office in owerri, dey have acct dept nd Hr dept( dnt knw much abt dem),upstream dept, gas dept( dey share d same office with upstream, cldnt differentiate dem nd wah dey do), der z d downstream nd d HSE/tech dept(where i did my IT), dey handle most permits, JIV,facility inspections, EIA/EES, etc.....cant remember all...buh as it comes amma reveal....

I was opportune to see d appointment letter of someone in dpr during their last recruitment, d salary after tax n all deductns was 1.6mil per annum. So bro, salaries av not been increased since then. U can ask n insider for more info. However, pls note that some directors in some f.g ministries earn 305k/month. So dont even think they'll give u that for a start, not even for expirenced hire.
I know people r rushing this job cos they think they r paid in millions, this z not true. However, d good news is that there r allowances added to d salary. Also note that u might be going on transfers to expensive states like rivers n delta.

1st off, someone working in HSE dept earns more dan those in HR dept....i did my industrial training der in 2013 (6 months), we were told we wont be paid buh i made atleast 7k weekly through JIV nd EIA outings.....also der iz hazard allowances paid if one goes for field job.......

So ballers season 3 z out....wow.....mk i go download am....

its a pity that some were rejected n more r still pending. let me just point out some few stuffs:
Nigerian oil sector is not quite settled now, there r plan to even restructure d NNPC n its subsidiaries, so the process may be done in long n tough stages, however those destined to get d job with get it. I guess about 300000 candidates applied n about 90000 were called while some were rejected n some r still pending (for those of us who r still seeing pending, let's hope for d best) DPR is a fine organization especially for career development n modest pay.
for those of us who shared their questions while d tests where still on, mmmmm remember this is not a university exam, its not even n aptitude test, if u doubt me, ask those who got staffed with DPR as at 2006 wen Nigeria was still a bit good n honest u will know wat it means to take DPR test. the test u took was more like a screening test to reduce d crowd as I heard they only need 300 persons. so if u did that I guess u should be a bit unhappy with ur actions cos u may be risking ur chances to help people u don't know. common sense is needed wen doing things, no wonder my teacher those days defined science as "n organized common sense".
for those of u arguing about submission, mmmm trust me if u av taken dragnet's tests, u will understand better that d system is timed n once ur time elapses, it automatically submits n ur scores will be processed, except u didn't save ur answers. however they may want to further reduce crowd of which I think they will n they may start using this submission thing as a rule, trust me, d crowd is much n this is a way to reduce it.
As for d cut off point, expect it to be as high as 70. I had this experience once in a firm I went to seek for appointment, over 2000 took d test, after d test, 400 were left behind n they needed jus 100, so interviews screened d remaining 300 out. however this is myt not be d case with DPR this yr, but its likely to be.
Those saying 305k as monthly income, mmmmmm r u aware that this is wat some directors in certain ministries take home? will they just employ u n make u a chief in DPR? well all I know is that they av a good starting salary but its not up to that amount, presumably its about half. DPR is a public service job n of course u know how f.g jobs r just that its a bit decent. go there make impact don't go with a money mindset else u will be disappointed. "not all that glitters av gold in them"
