Not true. Cooking your food at home is so much better than buying food outside. I've been eating out for sometime now due to work and I know how much I have spent so far. The worst is that they'll serve you small quantity of food for so much money such that you don't get filled unless you empty your wallet. It's too bad, especially in this igboland.

From my own perspective, it's cheaper to just buy food.....personally I love having varieties of soup on different days.....so I'll have to cook different varieties??...or different varieties of rice??....its just expensive, coupled with d stress of cooking dem all.....and u only got d weekend to relax and prepare for d following week

If you work in Victoria island, you may spend up to that on food daily unless you're eating at roadside kiosks, eating gala and coke or something.

A plate of food that sold for 800 previously now sells for 1,500 to 2,000. If you eat breakfast and dinner, that's between 3,000-4,000 gone on meals daily.

Unless you're a married man whose wife packs his breakfast for him.

It depends on how much she earns. If she earns like 200k and spends up to 120k on food alone, that means she's not a good financial manager.

A wiser person would plan well so that he/she doesn't spend more than 1k on food daily. This can be done by cooking and preserving your own food at home as against buying already-made food. Infact, in this present economy, one has no business buying cooked food outside unless one earns really high like yahoo boys.

If u consider cost of buying fuel to power refrigerator for preservation, cost of buying food ingredients/ stuff, time spent cooking (stress).....you'll consider buying food outside

I don't think you're getting my point, and by the way, animals/plants have been producing hybrid species long before the dawn of mankind. My point here is that Mars used to have a magnetosphere, which provided protection for it's atmosphere. Now that magnetosphere no longer exists and that is the reason for it's very thin atmosphere. Any terraforming initiative must address first of all the issue of magnetosphere.

I understand you now, the absence of a magnetosphere wld make any atmosphere created in mars to be stripped away by solar wind, I think, not really sure, an artificial magnetosphere is being considered using one of the moons....though its a stretch, I'll research more on it to know the latest developments in that.

As far as I'm concerned terraforming Mars(or any other dead planet for that matter) is but a fools dream. The same forces that blew away the Martian atmosphere will simply do so again.

I don't think it's a fools dream, humans have a good record in altering nature, look at the cross-breeding dept, we got LIGERS, TIGONS, ZONKEY.....etc, even ORANGES are hybrid of pomelo and mandarin, it didn't exist naturally. My only issue is channeling the energy and resources to save what's left of earth or try to restore it.

It's **relatively** scarce on Earth, true, much more abundant on the moon(due to a lack of magnetosphere as well as an atmosphere) and probably more abundant on Mars for roughly the same reason. The question is, if humans were so hungry for Helium 3 would it not make much more economical sense to be shooting for the Moon instead of Mars?

Perhaps, helium 3 is not the main priority for Mars exploration, terraforming Mars and making humans a 2 planet specie is the priority considering the damage done to earth and its imminent doom, continuation of the human species is kinda d priority, and if eventually Mars is terraformed and colonised by humans, the helium 3 could come in handy.....

I just watched some videos on YouTube, and it got me wondering how we haven't even explored 70 percent of our oceans! Isn't Antarctica fascinating? How come, there's no life on such a vast continent? What if there's an underground world? What if the earth is hollow?

There's this story that some US Admiral (I think) flew his plane into a hole in Antarctica, where he found a civilization thousands of years ahead of us (this was after the WW2). The leader told him, they're worried about how humans are destroying the planet (nuclear weapons, Hiroshima and Nagasaki).

While some people argued that, his son might have made this up but he wrote it down in his diary! I also watched a video where the "scientist" claimed the US government hushed him when he told his story.

This opens up a new chapter "conspiracy theory", it's not really my forte cos I focus on things that can be verifiable. For Antarctica, it's a frozen vast continent, feeding particularly farming would be a herculean task except artificial bio farms are provided, it's an expensive task, buh some animals thrive there eg polar bears and penguins, now for the hollow earth theory, on the average, temperature increases by 30°c every 1km, earth's diameter is abt 13000km, let's say the hollow earth exists in 1/1000th of the earth's diameter that's 13km, multiply that by 30, so the temperature there is 390°c, so if anything lives down there I'm not sure it's human.

There's actually some elements in Mars, and also it's kinda space race for superpowers like the USA. China was denied access to the ISS by the US, now China has sent a rover to Mars and another to the "dark side" of the moon.

These elements like helium 3 is said to be strong enough to power a city for year, these "superpowers" and their arrogance (especially the USA) can only be tamed by these supposed technologically advanced aliens. Sorry for diverting, but I get so mad when I remember what they did to other earthlings because of their natural resources.

Truth is earth is becoming inhabitable, in a couple of years (hundreds), no oxygen based living thing can survive on earth, so the idea to terraform another planet is birthed, I love the fact that Africa is now seeing the importance of saving earth hence the Great Green Wall is ongoing to stop desertification.

Its an interesting plan, mars is quite similar to earth except its very cold and has a very thin atmosphere making it hard to trap heat ergo its cold, and their are evidences of water though frozen, so, nuking Mars or using satellite to focus solar rays to the planet heats it up thereby evaporating water into the atmosphere and increasing its thickness, helping it to trap heat in Mars and it becomes a chain reaction....but then this solves one problem by making it warm but its filled with CO2, so we gotta introduce organisms that feed on CO2 and releases O2 to make it habitable for humans....honestly It's gonna take a while except an artificial fast acting microbes are used to create oxygen it should take couple of 100 years, I feel that instead of trying to terraform another planet and make us a 2 planet specie, we can just focus on fixing earth.

Interesting topic, 1st off, your assumption is based on all living things being carbon based, no other planetary condition within our solar system supports a carbon based life form, so maybe other extra planetary element based life form could exist.
2ndly, the milky way is just one of the galaxies out der, probably an earth 2.0 with similar earthly conditions could exist and support carbon based lifeforms.....Interesting topic again

This is the thing. We never want to tell ourselves the truth in Nigeria because of ethno-religious and sectional bias.

Igbo man will know Obi's flawed history yet will still be touting him as fit for a job it is obvious is beyond his capacity. Ditto Atiku. Whereas we have all seen what Tinubu has done with Lagos, ACN and even APC as testimonies to his undoubted leadership excellence.

Obi is indeed a failure and part of our problems. Buhari has contributed to the problem horribly and I feel deliberately because he leans towards a hands-off approach to tackling the major problems of Nigeria in so far as that may be perceived as punitive against the interest of the North and Northerners.

Those suffering horribly over the horrific black market rates that got to 'choking' dimension under Buhari are southerners because of business, study and tourism interest.

The South, by far is the loser, whereas the Northern Bureau de change owner in Nigeria is laughing all the way to the bank because CBN is forced to release to them, abetted by political power, at bank rate and they rake in the huge difference.

Folks can accuse Tinubu of all sorts but he created a Lagos where opportunities exist for all and is denied to no one. Not many States of Nigeria have that enabling environment and we can only pray he gets a chance to deliver that for Nigeria.

Tinubu believes in creating wealth for all. I instantly bowed for Tinubu when he made the powerful statement that you cannot abolish corruption in Nigeria when Nigerians cannot get access to favourable and fair credit and mortgages to buy the most essential requirements that makes them satified and fulfilled such as homes, cars, electronic goods etc. Considerations that can appreciably lift many out of poverty and grow the middle class to the glory of a nation..

The man has constantly touted the reduction of CBN interest rate so we can all tell how he will move whereas I am not even sure Buhari has any thoughts on that considerstion either way.

Obi is just writing cheques of rhetoric and propaganda his bank balance can never cash. Nothing Obi talks about that even averagely clever Nigerians do not know about.

We even know the solution enough to understand it is not rocket science. They just have to be implemented by genuinely powerful leaders with a rock solid crew or 'regulators' behind them.

I personally always chuckle when some clap after Obi says obvious things. The dude is a joker and capitalising on the fact that the average Nigerian youth is very ignorant and views Obi as "change".
