I've learnt geography for some time now and we were given several evidences for the earth's sphericity.
Circumnavigation of the earth: Ferdinand Magellan and his crew took a voyage sometime ago and it was said that they returned to the same starting point after 5 years. If the earth were flat,they'll probably have come to an abrupt edge and possibly fall out of the earth..
Ship Visibility: it was said that when a ship is approaching, the mast is seen first before the remaining part of the ship is seen (round earth) if the earth were flat, the whole body of the ship would be sighted at once..
Driving poles of equal length: we were also told that it was recorded that driving poles of equal length were launched from the earth at the same time, but the two by the sides reached the earth before the one at the middle (round earth) but if the earth were flat, they'd reach at the same time.
Several other evidences though but no time to elucidate further
