Travel / Re: The Decaying Underbelly Of Calabar, Nigeria’s ‘Cleanest City’ by kleverley(m): 3:37pm On May 16, 2022
This is what it has been reduced to,from watt,to Marian mkt, to Etta agbor exactly opposite unical small gate,to akim branch by Etta agbor and many more.
The city has become dirty, bad roads ravaged by potholes, no light and many more.

There's nothing Gov Ayade in his 7th year running has to show,no successful development completed. But when you hear him speak on TV you'll think he's achieved a lot, just empty chest beating and big grammar. Then they're sycophants who arse.lick him under every post.

How he has a presidential ambition still baffles me,if you can't manage small Cross river state how will you manage Nigeria?
That remains a rhetoric!

These things don't shock me anymore, it's almost common in Nigerian(public)Universities, a case study is the malabor republic in Unical.
So much congestion in there

I see ww3 starting towards the end of this year or the beginning of next year, I see Europe and Asia being wiped off, I see Africans taking over those continents and marrying their females, I see Nigerians having as many as 25 European wives.

This I have seen.

Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: Osinbajo Is Nigeria’s Future For 2023 – Support Group by kleverley(m): 6:06am On Aug 07, 2021
Yes
I think so too, he is learned and has displayed some competency in the past. He's shown a bit of what he can do. But the article says '' he'll continue on the works of President Buhari''. That's where my fear comes in, no sane Nigerian will want to associate with anything that relates Buhari post 2023.

I think Yemi Osibanjo and Atiku are the best candidates for that position.
Let the best person win, all we want is a good and stable Nigeria, we've been through a lot

FSLC like JSS3 is a central examination written by all pry 6 pupil (public or private). some private schools allow pupils in pry 5 to enrol for it

I know that, all I'm saying is that does Primary school testimonial have a difference from the FSLC, because in private primary schools we were given only testimonial

This is why sometimes it's not good to cut corners. Your Mum did more harm than good. I am not sure if any Headmaster or Headmistress can help because FSLC is been issued by from SUBEB.

How about those who wrote in private schools?
The schools provided them with testimonials and not SUBEB or are they two different documents? (FSLC and Testimonial)
Education / Re: Is It Just Me Or Is Nigeria's Education At Primary Level Diminished? by kleverley(m): 1:10pm On Nov 21, 2020
Even in secondary schools, I'm quite astonished by the assessments I give this children and their performances. To be frank, sometimes the teachers are competent and execute their duties properly but the children are so lazy this time around, in some cases Parents are responsible for this, they pamper these kids excessively. Children do not do their homework, won't write notes and will always sleep in class. I don't know but maybe these children need that discipline which is missing.

It's quite pathetic

Truth is that cross river state is one of the most backward places in Nigeria.. Forget calabar that they use to save face.. Cross river hosts the thickest forest in Africa and looks like Tower of babel was built there with thousands of tribes and languages .. They're places in Cross river the men speak a different language from the women.. Cross River can drag land for Africa and can kill for it

Now this nonsense.. Cross river should wake up

Oga stop saying things you don't know sire, this community is one of the primitive and interior villages in cross river that borders Cameroon, stop making it look as if the whole cross river is a forest or whatever. So the other towns like ogoja, obudu, ikom, yala, akpabuyo and the likes aren't in cross river?

This is one thing with NL, some comments can be image-damning, they're other primitive places in Nigeria and I'm very sure the state you come from is indifferent, harmful traditional is coexistent in many other States, but once you get to know of one, you use the opportunity to slander.

Though you've got some facts right, the different languages isn't limited to Cross River alone, in Rivers, they speak different languages amongst themselves too.

Make comments without slanders sir

Dear kleverly,

The worst thing to happen to any man nah "See Finish"

I don't know much about your current location, but going back to your uncle's petrol station is what I won't advise you to do.

Public embarrassment and false accusations are one of the leading vehicle's to trauma and suicide and you suffered that in the hands of your uncle's wife.... If she can embarrass you for a mere tab you didn't steal, don't you think she'll do more than embarrassment this second time? I guess you don't wanna make your parents start thinking unnecessarily.

Keep on searching for a job around...

I wish you well.

Thank you very much

@kleverley
Go and learn a skill bro. It’s your doorway to total freedom. I really in the real scene of things don’t know what young lads like you Would need a lot of money for. I know things are difficult and you lack a lot of things. But in your young days you need to keep your head low with your small compensation from mom and Dad and go learn how to do something with yourself in this life. It will go a long way in helping you throughout life.
A petrol job will only fetch you cash but not any personal improvement. Determine what you’re so good in and head forward to learning it with every strength you got.

When you’re done learning a good skill, money will automatically flow into your hands as you become useful to people and provide solutions. Plus if you complement it with a BSC/HND certificate, then you have places to go

For that woman, please avoid her and her complement and greetings. She is a snake, for the fact she could not apologize and she was in haste to harrasing you without giving any benefit of doubt. Those people are toxic to your existence. Just act calm, quiet and collected anywhere around her.

Thanks a lot for this advice, they say ''never be in a rush to take the handshake of an enemy as a sign of reconciliation''.

Thanks a lot

Romance / I'm Confused Please Help Me With Advice by kleverley(m): 9:58am On Aug 30, 2020
Good morning nairalanders, I'm in a state of dilemma right now.
I'll try to make the story short as possible because I know I'm posting it in the wrong section and I'm sorry for that.

Well I'm a student, and due to the fact that covid 19 has put so many things to a halt, we had to return home and I'm in my rural area now.

Things hasn't really been rosy lately as regards to money, so I thought of going out to look for a small job somewhere that could earn me money.
Hence it is a rural area, there aren't much job opportunities around so the only feasible place is at my uncle's petrol station.
The issue is, I've worked in that station before and I served well until his wife made me leave the place bitterly some years ago.
She forgot her phone @ home and came to the station claiming to have plugged it in the oil room, unfortunately I was the only one who entered that room that day to get some gallons so we could purchase diesel from another station to power our lister.

She came that evening, claiming to have plugged the phone there and that, she hadn't collected it,she got me embarrassed in public, created a scene, insulted me and threatened to lock me up in a cell for stealing her phone.
Not long after, she was called from home through her small phone that her big phone(the tab in question) has been ringing from home all through because series of persons kept dialing the number as I told them I knew nothing about the phone.

The trauma she put me through made me to leave the station and she couldn't even apologize. But now whenever she sees me, she smiles, play and greet me well.
Now I'm home, the money doesn't seem to be coming by easily that's why I am reconsidering the odds of going back there to work because I know my uncle will welcome me. He knew I was the best worker there as at then,as I was upright in my duties, he was really disappointed that I left because he wasn't around when all of those things transpired.

I know my parents would rebuke my idea of going back there,I know it's dead on arrival telling it to them but I can't deny the fact that I need some money too.
My parents suggest I go learn a skill now, I don't really know what to do so I need your advises.
Thanks
Help me tag lalasticlala to move it to front page, I really need advice.

Sorry for the long note
