A few weeks ago, itel Mobile, a leading global provider of mobile devices announced that they are working on a new smartphone but did not reveal much about the device including the name and specification. Since four days now, itel Mobile has been dropping teasers of their next smartphone; revealing some of its specifications and a countdown to the launch of the phone which will be official on July 3rd. Ahead of the launch, the live leaked images and rumored specs of the device has surfaced online. According to my source, the name of the upcoming itel Mobile smartphone is itel P51 and it will sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display smartphone with screen resolutions measuring 1280 x 720 pixels. Just as it was revealed by the company itself, the device will boot Android Nougat 7.0 OS out of the box and is juiced by a 5000mAh battery with the Ultra-Power Saving Mode installed on the device to help users minimize the way the phone consumes battery. The itel P51 is expected to be powered by a Quad-Core Mediatek processor coupled with 1GB RAM and expandable internal storage memory of 16GB, up to 32GB storage capacity via Micro SD card. Rumored Highlight Specs Of Itel P51 1. Android Nougat 7.0 OS out of box 2. 5000mAh battery capacity 3. 5.5 HD IPS Display 4. 1GB RAM and expendable 16GB Internal storage up to 32GB via Micro SD Card 5. 8MP back camera 6. Full mental body 7. Colors: Blue, Black, and Gold. Rumor has it that the device will come in full mental body and it will slimmer than its predecessors despite the large battery packed behind it. The P51 is expected to come in three colors; Blue, Black, and Gold. Camera wise, it is rumored that the phone will pack a rear 8MP shooter with Autofocus sensor and it would retail between 30,000 - 34,000 Naira. Guys, what do you think about this upcoming itel mobile smartphone? Yay or Nay?

I love the picture design |
This morning while surfing facebook, i came across a post from itel mobile talking about a big and powerful phone. My guess is that they want to release a successor to their impressive it1516Plus smartphone which have a massive 5000mAh battery. My dad still rocks his it1516Plus which normally go 4-5 days on full charge. He is a light user though. So what do you think itel mobile is up to with their new phone?

It is too expensive. It is better to buy an android phone at 17,000 naira than this thing |

As part of its intensified efforts to promote healthy living and safety in the society, itel mobile, one of the world's largest makers of mobile phones, has taken to Nigerian campuses to sensitize students on the danger of drug abuse and how they can prevent themselves from it. The campaign which is aimed at arresting the worrisome rate of drug abuses among Nigerian students, was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Recall that cases of drug abuses have become rampant on our campuses, with the unhealthy practices causing deaths or deformations in some instances, while in some, it led the students to unwholesome behaviours, which threatens the peace and stability of the society. In order to address this challenge, itel sponsored a 5-aside football tournament tagged "Powerball Tournament", which focused on sensitizing the students on the hazard of drug abuse and how to guide them against it. This edition of the campaign held at the Federal College of Education (F.C.E), Akoka, Lagos state, where experts and celebrities including AY, Akpororo, Ehis, Viktor amongst others engaged and also played in the 5 aside football match to campaign against drug abuse. Speaking at the free entry event, which featured 10 universities, 4 teams of celebrity, the Marketing Communications Manager of itel Mobile, Mr. Oke Umurhohwo, said the idea behind the event was to stress the hazard of drug abuse to the students and also avail them with information on how to abstain from it. "We sponsored powerball tournament- a five aside football tournament, to fight against drug abuse on our campuses," Mr. Umurhohwo said. "As a company that is committed to a healthy and safe society, we feel worried by the alarming trend of drug abuses on our campuses and we took up this campaign to make sure it stops." He pointed that a healthy society is key to the growth of businesses, including itel mobile, adding that "we cannot watch while this trend continues unaddressed and that is what we have demonstrated today." "You can see the level of attention given to the campaign by the students, an indication that most of them engages in that habit because they don't have information on the hazard, and when they gets involved, many don't know how to get out. "It is just pleasing that we took up this challenge, because the campaign has reclaimed many lives and gives hope," Mr. Umurhohwo maintained.

With the increase in fake battery AND fake battery capacities, many OEMs are now introducing various means where customers can check if they have an original battery or the battery they are about to buy is an original one. Leading the way is Huawei, itel mobile, Oppo as well as Vivo. Using itel mobile as an example, the red coloured brand launched a special website to confirm the authenticity of their battery. For those using itel phones, all they need to do is visit http://gc.itel-mobile.com, input their battery serial number and submit. A quick confirmation message would show if its an original battery or not. Just tried it now and mine is confirmed. Here is hoping other Brands would do the same. Atleast, it would cut the average number of fake batteries that are prevalent in phone accessories outlets or what do you guys think?
