itel Mobile Nigeria, a phone company extended his support to youths by sponsoring the departmental games of urban and regional planning department of the university of Lagos last week.

At the very entertaining games competitions that had football, basketball and athletics as well as indoor games, the 500 level class won the football competition with the basketball top prize going to year 3.

Speaking at the event, the marketing communications manager of itel mobile Nigeria, Oke Umurhohwo said the students and youths are an integral part of itel mobile, so itel mobile would always support activities that promote youth creativities and talent.

According to him, itel mobile’s passion for youth events has seen it intervene in areas like beauty pageants and sports development, adding that in the last few years, the brand has sponsored and supported football games nationally”.
He said its sponsorship of the itel Mobile URPSA games was a move to develop and reveal special talents.

Oke also said the itel’s sponsorship of sports events was for the long term, stressing that itel mobiles’s values of fairness and professionalism will guarantee future involvement.

The president of the Urban and Regional planning student association, Akeem Abayomi was full of thanks to itel mobile for coming and colouring the event and making it remarkable.

itel Mobile extended its monthly Love Always On campaign to the South South zone of Nigeria by visiting Emmaritta Academy in Asaba, Delta state and donated learning materials to students of the school.

It would recall that last month, itel mobile was in Ibadan, Oyo state for similar initiative.

Speaking at the event, Oke Umurhohwo who is the Digital Marketing manager of itel Mobile Nigeria said the event is in continuation of the company's promise to reach 1500 pupils in 2017 and give back to the society.

He further stated that education is key and itel mobile would continue to promote Nigerian education through different initiatives that would be unveiled with time.

The smiles and happiness among the pupils were visible as they received bags, books and pen from the company. The head teacher could not hide his joy as he thanked itel mobile for their kind gesture.

Yesterday, 24th January, itel Mobile extended their monthly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign tagged #LoveAlwaysOn from Lagos to Ibadan, Oyo state by donating school materials to pupils of Glory Kiddies school, Monatan, Ibadan.

Recall that in December 2016, itel Mobile launched their #LoveAlwaysOn campaign aimed at schools in low-income communities nominated by active their fans on social media. The aim of the Love Always On campaign is to ensure kids whose parents earn little or no tangible income have a better education; since education is key to the development of a nation.

At Glory Kiddies school, basic school items were given to all the kids present. The joy on their faces as they collected their gifts showed the impact of the project.

Speaking to journalists present, the Digital Marketing Manager of itel Mobile Nigeria, Oke Umurhohwo said one school will be visited every month across the country. "By the end of 2017, more than 1,500 kids would have benefited from the campaign".

Speaking further, he said there is a lot more to be done for kids in the rural communities. He called on other organizations to do something similar to help the people living in these low income because the government cannot do all.
