Fhemmmy:You said it all my friend. Nigerians want expensive things but do not wanna pay for them. They think we get these cars and stuffs for free here. Like you said, the cost of buying and shipping cars to Nigeria is not cheap at all. Everybody is looking for Toyota. But when you tell them how much it costs to buy one they think you are lying. I recently came across a 2003 Toyota matrix(clean-drive and go) for about 3800CAD. I called my friend ,whose been bugging me to help him buy a car, while the auction was still going on to know if I should bid on the car. He said it was very expensive that 1000$ would be a good price for it. I was very disappointed. Mean while, I still have two jeeps(2002 grand Cherokee and 1998 Isuzu Rodio)I shipped in a couple of weeks ago. They are good cars. They are still in Lagos, though am thinking of moving them to another city if I don't sell them soon. If anyone is interested please let me know. My e-mail is joseph_sunny@rocketmail.com. As things stand right now, both cars have cost me about 1M(Cherokee) and 900K(isuzu) just to buy and ship them to Lagos. By the way, It costs b/w 320k and 350k to clear a jeep in Nigeria. |
diluminati:You said it beautifully well, diluminati. "Love your neighbor as yourself". If we all do that, the world will be a much better place for everybody. Forget all those people who call themselves Reverends and Pastor. Just do what Christ commanded us to do, ", Love your neighbor as yourself, " |
tunnytox:Well, I see no reason why you should be supporting pastors selling anything (no matter what) to their members, and inside the church too. They should provide those things free to their members if they(pastors) think it is absolutely necessary. After all, the members give offering and tithes. The point is that almost, if not all, churches in Nigeria are just making money off vulnerable people. |
There's absolutely nothing wrong in selling these things in the church, it only become wrong if you're blackmailed into buying them. For instance by claiming you'll be specially blessed if you buy them in the church, if its not by force I don't see anything wrong in it, at least the church can use that avenue to raise money better than forcing members to sow seeds that'll never germinate talk less of bringing any fruits. E be like say you be one of them! |
This is a reflection of the state of the nation.Blame corrupt government for all these nonsense. The answer is strategic governance and planning, with little or no corruption of course. It is only in Nigeria that government don't have goals and visions for their states and the country as a whole. They are so focused on embezzling monies that don't belong to them. |
He should spend the rest of his life in jail. What an idiot. He deprived millions of delta kids basic necessities of life. He is more that a murderer. He is a disgrace to Humanity. |
Tough one buddy . Would say you should follow your hearth. But sometime parents are like mini gods. They see what we don't see. One of my friends was married to a Jamaican Lady. They are no longer together, after two Kids. Am not saying that all such marriages will fail. It all depends on how well you guys can co exist as H &W. Good luck though because you will need it. |
Pastors are one of the major problems we have in that country. It's high time people stopped listening to what they say. They are all there for your money and fame. |
beauty dey for the eyes of the beholder. |
