That's right mass is always constant. But remember that weight changes with g...so an object will have the same mass but different weight when placed on the moon.

String theory
CareerRe: Physics Graduates: Lets Meet Here by knelson(m): 6:25pm On Feb 07, 2013
I agree that Physics graduates are very intelligent. I am a graduate of Eng. Physic... I then went on to study theoretical physics (M.Sc) in North America. Interesting stuff eh! But if you are thinking of working for people or a company you would need to acquire a specialized skill (like programming, etc) or some certification to be employable.

I found that in the western world, most companies would prefer to hire someone with an Engineering degree or some certification. It took me a while to find a job with my Physics degrees. I had to get some more degrees and certifications just to get an interview. I added a Management degree to my list of credentials…not to talk of many safety courses (more than 30) and certifications.

While studying for my Management degree, I was disappointed to learn that most of the HR students don’t even know what a Physics graduate can do… they think it is some high school course. I guess that is the major issue because they will be selecting applicants for job interviews later. They find it very difficult to place your resume somewhere…Remember that there are hundreds of other applicants with Engineering degrees or industry specific degrees they can easily identify with.

Anyways, after searching for jobs for years and working on jobs I hated, I decided to start my own company…why not. So I would encourage physics graduates to start thinking of starting their own businesses too. Must you work for someone or get a PhD or something? Don’t get me wrong. If you have real passion for research and teaching, go for your PhD. But, if you just want to earn a good living and support your family, think of starting your own business. After all, you can only make real money working for yourself. My business is doing very well now. It’s been about 4 years since I started my business. All those degrees and safety courses have been very useful.
Christianity EtcRe: I Want To Give My Tithe To A Brother In Need by knelson(m): 8:18pm On Apr 03, 2012
joe4christ: Dearest in the lord i beg you by the mercies of the lord not to make that mistake, tithe is suppose to be given in obidience to the lord and not to attract God's judgement as a result of breaking God's command.
For the scripture cannot be broken, God is not steering at your resources each time you pay tithe, all he want to see in you is your obidience and persistence, what belongs to God is God's dont ever trade it for anything.

Here are some references:

Mal 3:10 - Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so
there will be enough food in my Temple.
If you do," says the LORD of Heaven's
Armies, "I will open the windows of
heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing
so great you won't have enough room to
take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!

Ezekiel 44:30 The best of all the firstfruits
and of all your special gifts will belong to
the priests. You are to give them the first
portion of your ground meal so that a
blessing may rest on your household.

Numbers 18:21 "I give to the Levites all
the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in
return for the work they do while serving
at the Tent of Meeting.

Leviticus 27:30 "'A tithe of everything
from the land, whether grain from the soil
or fruit from the trees, belongs to the
LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

Leviticus 26:3 "'If you follow my decrees
and are careful to obey my commands.
This is how you go about misinterpreting the bible. What have Nigerians gained from all the churches in that country. People are getting poorer by the day, you sit here and talk about paying tithes. Quote some more verses in the bible since that's all you know.
BusinessRe: Cashless System In Nigeria: Are We Ready For The Down Side? by knelson(m): 5:47pm On Mar 22, 2012
Nigerians are not ready for cashless economy or what ever they want to call it. This goes to show how "visionless" the so called Nigerian leaders are.Always trying to do what the westerners are doing even when it is glaring that it will not work for Nigerians. Certain conditions need to be in place before this kind of policy will benefit anybody. Nigeria is saddled with so many economic problems, and the only thing the central bank governor could think about is cashless economy?Good luck with that guys. It's like the subsidy removal-bad timing.
TravelRe: I Need Suggestions On Travelling With An Expired Passport. by knelson(m): 11:20pm On Mar 13, 2012
0. Princessjo:

pls my nigerian passport expired april of this year, i didn't think i was gonna need to travel to nigeria, but my mom passed away this november and i need to go for her burial i already bought my ticket, pls i need suggestion on what to do. i applied for renewal of my passport. they have already given me an interview date at atlanta office but the problem is that i was reliably informed that I can't pick up the passport same day, but that the passport will be mailed to me a week later.I can't wait for the passport to be mailed to me, if i do, then i will have to cancel my flight which will cost me a huge chunk of money, and i may not even make it for the burial.

Some one pls advice me on what to do. Can i travel to Nigeria with the expired passport and then renew the passport in Nigeria before returning to USA. Do u think they will let me enter nigeria with an expired passport?
were you able to get a new passport on time?

AutosRe: Cant Someone Get A Good Car Deal On Nairaland? by knelson(m): 5:54pm On Mar 06, 2012
chucky234:
Imagine one lousy mouth saying I dont know what anything about car import when I have two accounts with top auction companies in Canada.
I said you can ship a car from US to Lagos for as low as $800 and one literate-illiterate asked if from Senegal or Port Harcourt.
You can buy a clean trouble-free 2003 EOD in US for $6,000 if you are buying directly from the owner and not from dealers or sub-dealers and N1,050,000 is enough to keep the car at your showroom in Lagos, why then you dont want to sell for N1.3m?
People sell their cars in US for different reasons, not every car you find cheap has problem.
The best way to buy a car from US is by buying directly from the principal owner,I told him my friend sold his car a nicompoop said I dont know what my friend does in the US when I was talking of a white American man who have used 6 cars in the last 4 years and sold 5 of them at very cheap prices.
If you are making a N100,000 from a car thats more than enough profit for a single car sold but no Nigerian dealers always want to make a fortune from selling a car, this attitude will never help you.
there are so man good guys out there who sell their cars at reasonable prices and those unscrupulous element will go about telling buyers that cars sold at such rates are faulty cars.
Lets be sincere with ourselves and call a spade a spade, there are good cars out there going for N1.3m
You really do not know what you are talking about. This is the breakdown for the EOD senario:

Cost of the Car = 6000USD
Shipping from the US= 1200USD
Storage before you ship the car= 50USD
Towing=50USD
other related costs= 50USD
Total US cost(including Shipping)= 7350USD

Nigerian Cost:

Clearing cost=250,000NGN
Moving cost= 10,000NGN
Other related costs= 10,000NGN

Total Cost (Nigeria) = 270,000 NGN

Now, let's convert the US cost to NGN and add up everything:

7350*150 + 270, 000 = 1,372,500 NGN

This is a very conservative estimate my little mouth friend. Now you tell me how you came about you number.

And the talk about your friend being a white guy. who says white people do not do bad things too. I have lived with white people for more that 20 yrs now. They are no better than the black people giving the same circumstances.

AutosRe: Cant Someone Get A Good Car Deal On Nairaland? by knelson(m): 12:24am On Mar 06, 2012
chucky234:
I think N1.3m is a fair price for a 2003 EOD because my friend sold a first grade 2005 EOD shipped in from the US for N1.5m,many car dealers here overprice their cars.
I have top car dealers in the US,recently my white friend in VA sold his clean 2006 Chrysler M300 for $10,000. Most of these cars come in containers and a 40FCT can take up to 4 cars, shipping by Roro is as cheap as $800 to Lagos seaports.
You have no idea what you are talking about my friend. Your so called friend maybe into something you are not aware of. You think cars are that cheap in North America? I go to auction almost every weekend. Cars are not that cheap.
