The egg heads should sit down and fathom a plausible way of choosing the 3 representatives of the ward that would be fair to all.

We are going to spend 1 trillion naira on a second term that would be rigged. Yet we say we don’t have money. Why not allow 30,000 ward delegates determine the faith of the president through electronic voting which would be free and fair and transparent. Why open the 2nd term to the whole country. The second term should be be a referendum.

Clearly with the examples I have giving this system we are currently running is just doom. It will not take us anywhere. Those examples are as emperical as it can be.

The egg heads in our country should heads together and put something workable for our country. This system is not working.

He ruled Singapore for 31 years 1959 to 1990. No wonder we are not doing well in Africa especially Nigeria. This 4 years business will not take us anywhere. In Nigeria they actually Governed for 2 years by the third year they are preparing for another election and all governance goes into the bin.

I also looked at Dubai they have an absolute Monarch no wonder one man can have a vision in the early 1990’s and by the 2000’s it has come to fruition. Same thing King of Morocco, not to mention President Kigame of Rwanda.

This 4 years business is not going to take us anywhere. Look at Lagos - Calabar expressway it would take at least 8 years b4 that project will finish if well funded. But if not well funded it can take between 20 to 30 years if not outright abandoned.

So we need to look at our Govenace system to determine what is good for us.


I will suggest the term should be increased to 5 years per term. And secondly the second term elections should be an indirect election conducted by electronic voting of 3 voters per ward. Assuming we have 10,000 wards these ward delegates will vote by using their telephone numbers to vote for the second term elections.

By so doing we would have not only have saved money by going through the rigours of a very expensive election cycle but we would have safe time so that development can continue without hindrance.

3 delegates per ward will give us 30,000 delegates which is manageable for a presidency election.

What do you guys think otherwise we would be wasting our time. This method clearly does not work.

Another law to be inserted into this arrangement Governors will not have the right to remove “Oba’s” without 2/3 of the state house of assembly approval.

I believe by implementing this arrangement the Un governed areas which our Governors have abandoned will not only be ungoverned any more but a new lease of life and development would be infused into such areas.

At the moment most state the Governors just concentrate in the state capital abandoning the rest of the state to the vagaries of hoodlums, Urchins and bandits.

They would be like the King of England where they sit in council, deliberate and gives advise but the LG Chairman actually executes. For Example Ibadan has 11 LG Council the Olubadan would sit in the deliberations of those council but the 11 LG Chairmen would do the implementation of council decisions.

Rural LG that has no Class A Monarch a “ baale” or father of the land would be both the mayor without executive power. They will also deliberate on the way forward for their LG

The essence of this arrangement is once LG funds are paid into LG accounts, Governors who are temporary executives would not be able to hijack such funds for fear of the Monarch making noise.

That way we would have meaningful development in the LG area and Security would be enhanced in such areas.

What do you guys think about this arrangement.

The naira is doing fine, on the long run, it will keep on appreciating

Redonominating the Naira won't lead to any positive effect on the economy.

We will have to spend billions of naira to print new notes.

But most Illetrate Nigerians think our currency is too weak so to give them a semblance of strength you go the redomination route. At least Ghana did and they are giving us wotowoto saying if they bring 100 cedis to Nigeria they will get millions.

Seirra Leone has redominated her currency, Ghana did in 2008, Nigeria should do it now as the currency is stable. A 1450 to the dollar would become 14.50 to the dollar. What do you guys think considering the stability of the Naira.
