This Government seems clueless. Even Emefiele looks like genius compared to this Lagos boy Cardozo. Tinubu has to step up.
Politics / Re: Electoral College Should Elect President Of Nigeria A New Way Forward??? by KnowAll(m): 11:07am On Feb 12
Let us revisit this idea. Where the final people voting for our president would not be more than 10,000 individuals. This would cut down the cost of elections not only in Nigeria but in Africa. It would also be difficult to rig.
Travel / Herbert Wigwe But Traveling In A Helicopter At 22:00 Hours Id Madness??? by KnowAll(m): 10:57am On Feb 12
If not suicidal. Just watch an interview with Herbert Wigwe did in 2019, what I deduced from the interview is this is a man that is driven. Nobody could possibly stopped him from traveling on that fateful day. What a shame, a loss to Nigeria and African.

This is the Elon musk of tomorrow in Africa. Already a billionaire but would have surge further to become one of Africa’s finest.

RIP

Politics / What Is The Point Removing Subsidies If You Are Going To Pay Higher Wages??? by KnowAll(m): 12:50am On Feb 10
What was the point removing fuel subsidies and realign the Naira if all the gains made would be use to pay higher wages to workers.

People are claiming as much as 200,000 as minimum wage. So what was the point then?🤔

Travel / Real Meaning Of JAPA !!! by KnowAll(m): 1:59pm On Dec 06, 2023
When I was growing up in Ibadan they use to use the word “JA” which means take off in a hurry. But suddenly i started hearing a new more qualified word “JAPA”. Then I pondered over d word and it became clear to me not only do people want to get away in a hurry, but now whilst going away in a hurry they are also shredding their passport or any item that links them to Nigeria.

It is that very serious. I hope they can revert to just “ JA” and not “JAPA”

ChiefS:

Supported. In addition, rotation of presidency across the 6 geopolitical zones should be enshrined in the constitution. Preference should be given to zones that have not produced president since 1999. It should also be a single term presidency of 5 years.

The trillions of Naira used to organise presidential elections since 1999 should have been used to bridge the infrastructural deficit. Nigerian elections as presently done can never produce the will of the people. So instead of wasting trillions on elections why not allow the foolish wise men to elect someone for us.

Forget rotating presidency. U must be smart enough to negotiate yourself to positions.

After the last election, if electoral college was to vote, Tinubu will still win. Am I not right?

Of course he will win. It is about who can negotiate with these 20,000 delegates d best.
Politics / Re: Electoral College Should Elect President Of Nigeria A New Way Forward??? by KnowAll(m): 1:17pm On Dec 04, 2023
We cannot throw democracy open as we all do at d moment. B4 d colonialist came deliberation of how towns can move forward was done by d oba and his chief on behalf of d people. We should go back to that system.

That will be a sure way for the North to rule this great country forever .
I pray it should be adopted soon!

There is no monolithic North. There majority Christians in Benue,Plateau, Taraba, Nassarawa state. And about 40% Christian’s in Bauchi, Gombe, Niger and Kogi. There is no grand rule Kwara would vote d core north.

I think whoever candidate that can negotiate the best with d various stakeholders would carry d day.

You will still complain because going by your calculations the north will still maintain majority and the south east will still have the least in the electoral college 😏.

If we are talking about government of d people for d people, the area with higher population would have leverage but would still work with other parts of Nigeria to produce a president.

Look at how Asiwaju won d APC with d delegates. That was free and fair.

There are about 10,000 wards in Nigeria. By having 2 representatives per ward that would give us a 20,000.00 capacity who would now vote who they want to be president electronically. That is by using their phones.

This would not only reduce the billions spent on present day INEC to bear insignificance. But would entrench a free fair election all over d country.

The following individuals are dictators they are not democrats

2. Hope Nzodima another dictator in d making. The way they dealth with d NLC shows dictatorial tendencies.

3 . Yaya Bello he is dictitorial in all his manifestation.

4. OBJ who wanted a 3rd term

And only educated people will participate in the voting, right? So, How do you define these “educated people” who have the right to vote?

The voting is open to everyone in d ward but only educated ones would be drafted for elections. Minimum a back degree or it’s equivalent.

I knew you were heading here. This is plain censorship and blatant classism and it will not stand.

What you and your elk want is a country where you can look down at people because theu didn't have an opportunity to be educated hence you seek to take away their right to vote. You want to take their voice because you see them as less than humans and so their talk cannot be meaningful.

Unfortunately for you the very first things the constitution set out is that every Nigerian has equal right to be heard (no matter how senseless you consider what they have to say) and they can be heard by that vote.

Do you believe you are contributing meaningfully right now? Because to me, you are not. Taking people's right to vote based on educational level isn't meaningful in my books, it is just discrimination

The current system where the elites hijack everything. Look at imo elections d guy wrote the results winning all lg areas. If he has to contend with some 3000 higher intelligent delegates from d ward, it would not be east for him. Because even if you bribe them, they might stab you at d back by voting someone else.

1. What defines "most educated"? What indices/criteria would be used to assess the people's degree of education and enlightenment?

2. What process/mechanism would be used to arrive at this "consensus"?

3. Who would be the people involved in this process?

What you're suggesting seems perversely counterintuitive my dear friend.

I have answered your question, once a consensus is impossible then electronic elections would ensue by using our phones since d catchment area would be limited to d ward and only residents living within d ward be eligible to partake.

Basically we are introducing Nigerians into politics bureau phenomena. As a one party state only people who can contribute meaningful in discussion would be allowed to vie for the delegation post. As I already said once consensus cannot be reached an electronic voting using our phones would be deployed by only residential members of d ward.

The most educated as in the top ten most educated people in the ward? In a ward with over 100 PHD holders and professors, how do you select the ten most educated among them?

If a consensus cannot be agreed upon then they go into an electronic voting using their phones. Since d catchment area is small, it would not be difficult to manipulate. Since population of a ward cannot be more than 10,000 people.

How will the delegates be chosen?

You choose the 10 most educated person per ward, I think by consensus would be ok after all we are all African. That is d way Africa do things b4 d white men came.
Politics / Re: Let Us Use Electoral College - 10 Ward Delegates Per Ward??? by KnowAll(m): 8:45pm On Nov 12, 2023
This system you don’t need parties. It would be a one party state like china. The 10 ward delegates represent all parties.

So the wuruwuru that goes on in party primaries has not convinced you ?

Wuruwuru will always go on but it would be secret ballot. They can take your money and still shenck you.

No u can’t throw it all open to every dick and harry, ward by ward, educated electorates. Throwing elections open to stack illetrates is not d best. Most Western democracy we copy have high literacy rate. So let enlighten people select our president.

That one eh

The rigging go loud!!

There is no rigging, if you want to buy all 100,000 delegates then it is up to them. U can give them money, that does not mean they would vote you. They would just take your money. The voting would be by secret ballots.

Look at d senatorial elections , look how close it was despite some people saying they would vote for Akpabio about 5 senators renegade.

Do you really understand what an electoral college system is?

This is a form of electoral college, not necessarily USA Electoral college. Indirect representation. What China, the ANC in South Africa and SWAPO in Namibia is a form of electoral college.

In China, SA, and Namibia it hierarchical in nature. They know who would be d next president in ANC & SWAPO if there president steps down.

Instead of having a general elections let us select 10 people from each ward, they would be the ones to vote in a presidential, gubernatorial and National Assembly elections.

As we have 10,000 wards nationwide it means that 100,000 delegates would select our president and a samaller number would select the governor and down to the National Assembly.
