Indeed change has come. grin

I hope you said the same of GEJ when he refused to debate in 2011 ? you are just a hypocrite if the debate was so important why did GEJ not attend the one of 2011 ? I really do not know what is going to be debated on, so as far as am concerned it is a waste of time and resources because Jonathan has failed us already I will rather have another OBJ there than to vote for the clueless one.

Thats the bad thing about PDP they do not know how to keep good things, lots of the governors that showed up there are from the PDP Ahmed and Ameachi to mention just two, and what happened to them ? they were chased out by the retrogressive PDP its now that you wanna claim credit SMH for you o' lol

As biased as this ranking is pls be well advised that rotimi amaechi's strides back then was done under the umbrella party...So it should be fair to credit this to the PDP and the national leadership of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
if you looked well you will see that there are other PDP governors but its the performing governors and therefore the toga of bias should be taken off your mind, Ameachi would still have been on this list either way PDP or APC
PoliticsRe: The Real Buhari – A Documentary Of Falsehood, And Half-truths by knowme(op): 3:46pm On Jan 30, 2015
Saw this online and thought I should share here

Re: The Real Buhari – A Documentary of Falsehood, and Half-truths

1.The documentary on GMB started lying as early as 18 secs in when it claimed the picture of him and Yar Adua was from “elementary school”
2. The only quote backed with a voice over was that of Humphrey Nwosu. The rest were paraphrased quotes, many from living individuals.
3. They managed to link Shehu Musa YarAdua’s death to GMB. GMB was chairman of PTF under Abacha. That way killing Yar Adua by association
4. According to the documentary, if a criminal is a woman, she should not face whatever the law at the time prescribed as punishment.
5. Documentary claims Olabisi Onabanjo was jailed for 20 months and died shortly after his release. Another lie. Onabanjo died in 1990.
6. According to the documentary, seizing of passports of individuals was something only GMB did. In 2014, the SSS seized SLS’s passport.
7. The way the narrator mocked the people he was quoting in the video is another thing. No respect whatsoever. It was all jokes to him.
8. The ignoble video tried to paint the picture of GMB as a man who protected corrupt Northerners but in the same video it used Umaru Dikko’s,a Northerner, attempted extradition to face charges in Nigeria as one of GMB’s crimes.
9. The video and other propaganda claim GMB scrapped the Lagos metro project maliciously. Lie. The project was scrapped for economic reasons
10. One thing I must give kudos to the kukuruku documentary for is that much as they wished to do otherwise, they admitted GMB fought corruption
11. Closing down of newspaper houses during military rule can be explained…but what of seizing of newspapers in a democracy?
12. GMB was accused of using the NSO to harass and intimidate. How do you explain what the DSS/SSS(formally NSO)is doing during a democracy?
13. Falsehood laden video said GMB announced the deportation of Ghanaians in 1985, whereas history captured Shagari announcing such in 1983
14. Why the producers of the documentary used the Ghana expulsion angle is still a mystery. Probably hoping for votes from Accra?
15. Corruption is one of Nigeria’s biggest problems to date and every govt claims to fight it. So please tell me why WAI by GMB is a crime.
16. Indiscipline is kind of etched into our psyche today, that is why impunity and anyhowness prevails. GMB’s WAI could have reformed us
17. Having a problem with GMB’s WAI points to the fact that they love the way we refuse to wait our turn. They loved to have us in a zoo.
18. The video said GMB’s tenure saw the beginning of religious fundamentalism, mentioning Maitasine -Documentary claims that in February and March 1984 Maitasine unleashed terror in the North – LIE!!!! BIG LIE!!! Maitasine started in 1980 during Shagari’s 1st term in office, not under GMB who came into office on the last day of 1983.
19. GMB’s military government was not the only govt that jailed Fela. Almost every military government did.
20. Video claims because GMB as HOS did not stop the execution of drug pushers, then he is Taliban-isque.
21. They forget OBJ, a devout christian, as HOS did not stop Dimka’s execution for Murtala’s assasination.Does that make OBJ Taliban-isque?
22. They forget OBJ, a devout christian, as HOS did not stop Dimka’s execution for Murtala’s assasination.Does that make OBJ Taliban-isque?
23. The video mentioned a convoluted story of a missing $2.8bn. Somehow it managed to leave out that of a certain $20bn that got SLS hell.
24. The video solidified its claim to lies when it quoted GMB as saying certain things. GMB is alive and kicking, yet no audio of video.
25. What was the purpose of the documentary reminding us of the fact that 2 of GMB’s daughters have passed on? That was very heartless.
26. Even in the midst of this heartlessness, the video did not fail to remind us that GMB’s daughter did not die in an overseas hospital.
27. Video quoted GMB as saying Boko Haram was faced with force while commiters of treason like Asari Dokubo & Tompolo are treated as kings
28. GMB wondered why there was special treatment for terrorists in the Niger Delta. The video very deftly made it look like support for BH
29. Documentary accused GMB of being a political journeyman having contested under ANPP, CPC and now APC. Another set of lies that forgets that those parties mentioned merged to form what we now knows as APC.
30. It was not lost on keen watchers towards the end of the video that Hubert Ogunde’s song “Yoruba Ronu” was played while showing APC flag. That was a childish attempt at painting APC as a Yoruba party. That was a silly attempt at inciting ethnic hatred.
31. The video closed with another big lie that Buhari destroyed Nigeria 30 years ago. Data available publicly does not agree with this.
32. If you ask me, the producers of that documentary should be arrested and charged for public disturbance. But then who am I fooling?
The above was compiled after extensive, painstaking research. All the facts here are available publicly.
This election will be won and lost because of facts behind ISSUES not through FALSEHOOD. Get your PVC, turn out and vote according to your conscience.
God bless Nigeria.

I have said it and will repeat it Nairaland is against change or the admins, why do articles that were published in 2007 now being brought to the fore ? and the funny thing is they make the headlines so quickly? I thought we were going to have a fair hearing as all of us belong here ? I have seen articles that should help the image of Buhari being left until one searches for them but anything that dents his image makes the front page even if its an old one, not nice at all, and truthfully I think even Soyinka after seeing what Jonathan has turned Nigeria into with his Nebuchadnezzar kind of leadership will prefer the change we are all looking for, so all you that do not want change should do your bit as we will do ours and at the end of the day all things being equal the one with the majority carry the day.

This people sounded so clueless here, they are just acting up the script of the PDP its only the PDP and their followers that believe that this election is about returning power to the North, we know that we want change and change is what we are going for, we cannot continue with this kind of an administration that the President said He knows the bad guys but cannot go after them because he is afraid they will come for him, not me not in this life, anyone that feels they are satisfied can go ahead and vote, and so be it if the majority of Nigerians are okay with the way things are going, but honestly the pulse of Nigerians have changed, in 2011 there were sympathy votes for GEJ but this year people are regretting why they voted for him as his transformation is yet to show up in the lives of most of the people, You do not need a prophet to tell you when its raining, but in this case I have not seen the rain. so my vote is for Buhari, win or lose

PoliticsRe: Improved Technology Is The Best Way To Fight Corruption, Says Jonathan by knowme(m): 11:36pm On Jan 09, 2015
iiichidodo:
This to me has to be the most innovative comment ever made by a Nigerian President hell-bent in curbing corruption....look my dear people of God..it isn't by mounting podium and yammering rhetorics of pighting Kworruption because this isn't 1984 you have to use tact and sophistication to not only fight corruption but make inconducive the environment for corruption to thrive via technology.Technology doesn't put Alex Ekwueme for a 100 year prison sentence whilst pardoning Shagari on house arrest,Technology doesn't throw Ambrose Alli in the gulag whilst the likes Awwal Ibrahim are left to roam international Airtamacs with suitcases filled with british pounds of 14 million....Technology aint interested in selective justice as proscribed by one illiterate dan-fulani...Technology is the key.
Have you ever considered that Technology is controlled by people ? people wrote those software and can edit them when they want to, if there is no strong will to fight corruption no amount of e-whatever will help you, was the procurement software not there when Stella did her Ojoro ? is the software not there when Madam Dieziene still runs on jets ? was the software not there when we had the oil cabal ? am using had as if they are gone, we should please reason with our heads and not allow sentiments take over our thinking, corruption is a serious problem in Nigeria and we need some kind of committed heart for it to be taken care of, its only when it has been taken care of from the top that they will then have the moral justification to start to arrest it downward, the farmers e-wallet for instance, how many farmers can access it ? don't u think some of them are not educated enough to know whats in there ? and its only the educated ones that will get the allocation and what happens ? my people still buy fertilizer from the open market and where do those people get it from ? the government allocation of course, so has corruption been taken care of ? or it has just been feed ?
PoliticsRe: PDP Rejects Osun Gov Election Result by knowme(m): 10:55am On Aug 10, 2014
Lol am just laffing at the bitterness in PDP's fans' voices, you can feel it, its so very sharp, they wanted to skew the results that was why FFK was boasting about it, its a simple case of 1+1 equals 2 when a ward election is concluded the votes are counted in the presence of everyone at the ward or from the polling unit first, and they forgot that even FFK announced the result of his polling unit, ward and LG, but now that the machinations didn't work for them they are complaining, truth is there were still some skirmishes in the election but for the vigilance of the people who did not allow themselves to be intimidated PDP would have manipulated the results.

Its time we begin to reward hardwork and please you PDP people should change your mentality we cannot continue to stay in a spot for all times we have to make progress change is what we want.

Christianity EtcRe: Problems With Biblical Inerrancy by knowme(m): 9:14pm On Aug 03, 2014
Validated: @ OP and others, please see my comments here under

Errors in the Bible
Let’s consider just these ten errors in the Bible:

1. Jesus curses fig tree and it withers immediately (Matthew 21:18-20). Jesus curses this same fig tree and it does not wither immediately. The disciples observe it withered the next morning (Mark 11:12-14; 20-21).
Comment: Good thing is that the miracle of cursing the fig tree was not disputed. The message is the as Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, He could speak even to a living tree and it obeys Him. He could make dead and bring back the dead to life

2. Mark records Jesus as quoting from Isaiah (Mk. 1:2), when the words are actually from Malachi (3:1).
Comment: The Book quoted is still a Biblical verse. Has the message changed you or is the verse more important to the word therein?

3. Matthew records a quote and credits it to Jeremiah (Mt. 27:9), when the majority of the quote is actually found in Zechariah (11:12, 13) not Jeremiah.

4. Jesus heals one demon-possessed man (at Gerasenes/Gergesenes/Gadarenes) and sends the demon into the pigs (Mark 5:1-20). But in Matthew’s story of the same event, Jesus heals two demon-possessed men (at Gerasenes/Gergesenes/Gadarenes) and sends the demons into the pigs (Matthew 8:28-34).
Comment: Did the demons obey His command? Whether they were two demon possessed or one, the message here is that by His word alone, the demons departed. Have you ever asked why some Jews, Christian and Muslims detest pork, it originates from this scripture, yet you doubt its reality.

5. Most Bibles have no verse 24 of Romans chapter sixteen. The text skips from verse 23 to verse 25. Some kind of error occurs here.
Comment: Now lets see the verse you mentioned: Roman 16:24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. This is Pauls prayers to the Roman church to who he was writing. I am not sure the Bible you say does not have this verse. Would be nice to have such version(s) so it can be read in context.

6. Those that died in Numbers 25:9 are 24,000; whereas 1 Corinthians lists 23,000 for the same event.
Comment:In the verse quoted, Apostle Paul was writing to the Church in Corinth. Now the scripture you referred to I Corinthians 10:8 has a message to the Church then even as it does today. If you have read from verse 1 you would have understood that the message was no necessarily the number. Rather the message's focus was from verse 6 thus: V6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand

7. Jesus tells the disciples to take a staff on their journey as recorded in Mark 6:8, but Matthew records Jesus as telling the disciples not to take a staff on that journey (10:9-10).
Comment: I am not able to see where Jesus asked His disciples not to take with then staff in Matt 10. Please see what the Bible state: Mark 6: 8 "And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:" while Matt 10:9 "Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, 10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat."

8. 2 Samuel says that God incited David to take a census (24:1-2); 1 Chronicles says that Satan induced David to take that census (21:1-2).
Comment: You need to read the Bible with the heart and leading of the Holy Spirit otherwise you would continue to read it in folly. The scripture here states; 2 Sam 24:1 "And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah." whereas, 1 Chronicles 1: 1 "And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel." Now let me teach you somethings about the Spirit. If you are led by the Spirit of God, you do not do evil. God can "permit" Satan to possess an individual because of sin, disbelief and or errors or just to prove He is God. If that happens, God's anger can be kindled against such and He would 'allow' Satan have his way. Read Job 1: 6-12. Take particular note of V12 please! In this verse God did not hurt Job but Satan did but God allowed it.

9. Matthew quotes Jesus as saying that the mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds (13:31-32). However, the mustard seed is not the smallest of all seeds.
Comment: You read out of context. The reference to the mustard seed was just for their understanding. Take for example there are seeds that you cannot see without the use of a microscope. Of what use would it be mentioning such seeds to a congregation that do not understand it. Why Jesus reference the mustard seed was because that was the smallest seed that the congregation know. Read with your heart circumcised otherwise you miss the message

10. Matthew says that Judas hanged himself (27:5), while the writer of Acts says that Judas died after falling headlong and bursting open (1:18).
Comment: This is irrelevant! However Judas died is of less importance than the fact that he died for betraying the Lord of Lords. The price paid to him (30 pieces of silver) was used to buy the potters field on which he was buried. Note that Matthew only told us he hung himself. Act stated that he fell headlong. Do you know how they brought him downhuh The message is clear that all those betraying the LORD now would face the same judgement as Judas

In all of these, I discover that you just toured the Bible to try to discredit it. For your information the Bible has 66 Books, (66) and 1,189 Chapters and 31,102 verses (KJV). If out of these, you have doubts of only 10 verses (0.032%) while 99.97% are not in dispute, then you should know that only The Almighy God could have inspired 66 men to document such level of accuracy over several centuries.

God bless you and open your eyes to the TRUTH, THE WAY & THE LIFE - His name is JESUS - Yeshua Ha-Mashiach.
Man if your testimony is found to be wanting in consistency then truth is you can not be relied up, We were told God inspired peeps to write the bible thru the holy spirit and if the holy spirit cannot be correct then I do not think we should trust him completely cos anyone else could claim the same
Christianity EtcRe: Problems With Biblical Inerrancy by knowme(m): 9:09pm On Aug 03, 2014
frosbel: The Bible is not unreliable when you read it from the context of the overall message of God's love and salvation for MANKIND.

Note a few things :

1. God used imperfect human beings
2. He did not override their will, emotion or intellect
3. He inspired them and they put pen to paper as best as they could narrate the words of God.
4. There were obviously errors and misrepresentations in some cases but these are few and far between.
5. The original manuscripts are not available, what we do have now are copies from other copies.
6. If you think about it, in those days there was no press, so scribes at different locations and times had to painstakingly copy these manuscripts.
7. During the translation to Latin , the Catholic church deliberately inserted some outright errors to support their myths such as the Trinity , Hell etc
8. These errors were carried into the English versions.
9. Nevertheless we are able to understand the specific truths of God through his Spirit and this requires humility
10. The message of Salvation is still not lost and consistent as ever.

Don't use this opportubtiy to make rash statements on what you know not.

cool
Why then should I believe everything it says ? how then can I rule out the fact that there were no errors ? we have got to be wise and understand God for who he is not just by what some people say he is.
