It may be a good time cos walahi, If your application doesn't meet up, they won't even bother with verifying anything. But I've seen a case where after verifying applicants personal statement with bank, refusal still came though the applicant had sponsor and I guess the denial was based on the sponsorship.

My tourist visa application was denied based on purpose of visit.

Make a new passport oo, I’m no expert but talking out of experience , better you spend that 40k than been rejected based on the what could have been avoided.

This question has been asked on Quora and a former U.S visa officer answered. According to Kathryn Berck, chances of getting the visa is zero except it is under a serious emergency situation.
She said visa officer at U.S Embassy in the other country will feel you are trying to hide something that is why you don't want to apply in your place of permanent residence where the visa officer can better assess you.

Please can one also included a landed property belonging to the father even though he is still very much alive , reasons being that he is old and doesn’t live in the city anymore (relocated to the home town/ village) so the applicant basically takes care and is in charge of the property ?

Schengen through France takes a while now. When I submitted in June I didn’t get my passport till middle of July almost 6 weeks and it was a renewal. It’s a gamble. Except you want you go ahead and if you need to submit for Canada you can request your passport back and then resubmit back.

Please house , I have been waiting for almost two months for feedback from the Canadian guys after my online submission, please can I try and apply for the shenghen visa...hope it won’t clash in any way. Like if they suddenly request for my passport because I don’t know how the shenghen own works and if I will have to submit my passport. I really need to go for vacation outside the country before Christmas.Please your responses will be highly appreciated
