fajigirl: You are a funny character. The front page quest started off as a joke cause i thought the blind date for travellers concept was cool and fun. Life is not that serious mister.
I don't know where you are based? but in Europe where i am, people are more open to meet strangers hence why some will even book hostels or travel solo in order to be able to mingle with locals, strangers and in short anybody. Nigerians/Africans tend to have a different mentality since they are understandably consumed with paranoia with the expectation of falling into the hands of kidnappers, rapist, ritualist, witches and wizards. As my blog suggests, i am well travelled hence why i decided to start the travel blog. I don't need to defend myself or purpose to you.... hmmmmm I amnt based but resident in the United States. The intent cannot be taken away put more aggression and innovation into how your "site" can make you be a frequent visitor at your local bank branch. This method is crass and not in any way ingenious to say the least |

FemiFaniKayode: Prof na English u study? Common sense bro! This particular{ Nigerian} way of speaking arises when people indulge in too much broken English even mother tongues like Yoruba and Igbo do no confer that plural tense structure when speaking Eg Yoruba: Oruko mi ni; Musibau Akanni Ajanlekoko note it is not Awon oruko mi ni Igbo: Aham bu: Okechukwu Nnabuife Otagburuagwu not plural { dont even know the plural form in Igbo} lol |

fajigirl: Ok let me clarify, this post is not for me; it is for the nairaland community i.e. for the single ladies and bobos to connect whilst travelling. I am making myself available for this purpose to kick things off and to encourage the shy folks to get involved as I think that it is an interesting concept. I call it "blind date for travellers" but it need not be a "date" which allows those not necessarily searching to participate (i fall into this category). No one needs to interview me further please Eseeeeeeeee Dont feel the need to be cagey as no matter how noble your quest may seem the motive/intent are centered around generating traffic for your "blog" or whatever it is. How many countries have you been to yourself that you think you are capable enough to start this "match making" process? Noone wants a strange, chatty, talkative travel companion on a trip that is long enough to make me freak out. I am an ardent supporter of meeting people in real life situations rather than some strangers breathing down my neck. Maybe if you mellow down on your crave for front page you will get the needed traffic you need on you "site" Internet marketing has gone beyond this crude way of you trying to indirectly make money for yourself. #unsolicitedadvicetakeorleave |

typical Nigerian English!!!!!
the name of an INDIVIDUAL no matter how complex or its multiciplicity is Singular and should only carry obviously the singular tense structure { my name is Jin Chen Wi}. However, where an individual is also known by certain aliases and there is need to put ''and" it naturally follows the plural structure as the speaker is technically denoting asides his first, middle and last name { which are simple and singular } he is also known by an alias in this case the individual goes "my names are Jin Chen Wi and Raleigh Bulldog{Street name}"
Note in this case the speaker is letting the audience know i am "plural" in nature{ known by different names depending on environment or office} |
