Smart is far from you if you are already twisting 1000s of years old words that were written down by men of OLd to assert ideas that were instead fed to you by ignorant men. Are you saying these men you listen to today are wiser than those men of Old, who thousands of years ago, wrote what it is they believed to be of God and their personal experience of Him? The writer you quoted never said YHWH ate or drank anything; men are written to have eaten with Abraham. Why are you desperate to cast the writer of the piece as a liar all to raise a GO Daddy and his life up high? No be mouth dem dey take claim smartness... |

So, you are attempting to say now that what is written by the author in Chapter 18 is become irrelevant because of chapter 19? Are you certain I am the one desperate to rewrite the contents of the very chapter you referenced? By the way, neither chapter 18 of chapter 19 says what you originally claimed which is that YHWH at with a man. Which God will interpret his dream? I hope we are not here attempting to convince OP that any of these ideas come from the God of Israel who instead put a seal on visions and Prophets(dreams included since He made those available only through His Spirit of Prophecy) almost 1900 years ago. And I certainly hope we are not attempting to delude OP into believing that Jesus Christ who never promised His followers dreams or visions in His name will answer him regarding the meaning of these dreams his mind has directed and produced probably for his entertainment. It would make a whole lot more sense for these dream interpreters to at least admit their many interpretations are sourced instead from local Nigerian gods — Sango, Obatala, and the rest — since they are Nigerians and OP equally a Nigeria. |

When people say their encounter, do not counter them because u have not had one before. You dey read at all? 1 Later, the Lord again appeared to Abraham near the oak trees of Mamre. It was the hottest part of the day, and Abraham was sitting at the door of his tent. 2 He looked up and saw three men standing in front of him. When he saw the men, he ran to them and bowed before them. 3 Abraham said, “Sirs,[a] please stay a while with me, your servant. 4 I will bring some water to wash your feet. You can rest under the trees. 5 I will get some food for you, and you can eat as much as you want. Then you can continue your journey.” The three men said, “Do as you wish.” 6 Abraham hurried to the tent. He said to Sarah, “Quickly, prepare enough flour for three loaves of bread.” 7 Then Abraham ran to his cattle. He took his best young calf and gave it to the servant there. He told the servant to quickly kill the calf and prepare it for food. 8 Abraham brought the meat and some milk and cheese and set them down in front of the three men. Then he stood near the men, ready to serve them while they sat under the tree and ate. 9 Then the men said to Abraham, “Where is your wife Sarah?” Abraham said, “She is there, in the tent.” 10 Then one of them said, “I will come again in the spring. At that time your wife Sarah will have a son.” Sarah was listening in the tent and heard these things. 11 Abraham and Sarah were very old. Sarah was past the right age for women to have children. 12 So she laughed to herself and said, “I am old, and my husband is old. I am too old to have a baby.” 13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Sarah laughed and said she was too old to have a baby. 14 But is anything too hard for the Lord? I will come again in the spring, just as I said I would, and your wife Sarah will have a son.” 15 Sarah said, “I didn’t laugh!” (She said this because she was afraid.) Then the Lord said, “No, I know that is not true. You did laugh!” 16 Then the men got up to leave. They looked toward Sodom and began walking in that direction. Abraham walked with them to send them on their way. - Genesis 18 vs 1 - 16 ▶ Verse 1 states that YHWH, the LORD, appeared to Abraham and he sat among the oak trees of Mamre. ▶ After that/then, Abraham lifted his eyes and saw three men whom he invited to eat with him, Abraham. He introduced himself as a servant to these three men, but that doesn't in any way mean the men were YHWH. Equally, the passage does not say that the one who ate with Abraham was YHWH

benodic: ■ During my early formative years in christianity, I had the same questions .further deep spiritual search revealed a lot of things to me.. I realized that the second coming of Christ was not a physical event but actually a spiritual one. Also it was an event to be witnessed by the individail within himself.. this event has already happened for many people and it is still happening till now. It is the acquiring of the Christ Consciouness ■ The Spiritual Journey still remains an individual affair occuring in the consciousness and hearts of those who truly loves God.it is not a group Jamboree or fiesta with people clapping and cheering from the sidelines. I am afraid this assessment of yours does not tally with the Gospel according to Jesus Christ. What you are capping is far from the Truth of Jesus Christ who instead said that He will be there to rule and judge when the times come for Him to do so - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 and John 5 va 19 - 29 . A time will come when He will show up as King to rule and Judge those who are of His Kingdom. The coming of the Kingdom of God was the marking of the end time— the end of the regime of the Old Law and the ushering in of the time of the Kingdom of God. We are today living in the time of the Kingdom — God's Judgment of the Old Law against the Nation of Israel(and Judah) along with the other Nations in Canaan according to Deuteronomy 28 vs 15 - the end came to a close about 1900 years ago. 2. Was the journey of the disciples equally an individual affair that occurred only in their consciousness and hearts? |

David0002: ■ Thanks for the reply. But back to my question. I need a concrete answer. Has rapture or second coming of Jesus happen already, or is it still a future event. ■ Does it mean that history is hiding a lot of things from us? Thanks and waiting for your reply. Well, here's the thing, you have to be clear on what exactly it is you consider the rapture to have your question answered. If your rapture is linked to the events Jesus Christ detailed in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, then yes, whatever it was occurred almost 1900 years ago, just as Jesus Christ said. 2. History isn't hiding anything from anyone. The problem is ignorance and accepting the popular narrative fed you over what is in fact written in Scripture. |

Moderator101: ■ The answer to the bolded is yes. Remember that Jesus began listing the signs when his disciples asked him: They asked him that question because Jesus told them this: ...In other words, Jesus began listing the signs when he told them the temple would be destroyed completely prompting them to ask when it would happen and the sign of his coming. Josephus a historian, explained alot of the visible signs in his work "The Jewish War" which he wrote around 75-79 AD. This historical account details the events leading up to and including the Roman siege and destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Were there other historians? The answer is Yes. There are several other historians who documented the destruction of Jerusalem and the events surrounding it. One of the most notable is Tacitus, a Roman historian who wrote about the Jewish-Roman War in his work "Histories." Another is Suetonius, who mentioned the destruction briefly in his "The Twelve Caesars." Additionally, Cassius Dio, a Roman historian, covered the events in his "Roman History." These historians provide valuable insights into the historical context and details of the destruction of Jerusalem. According to Jesus Christ, ALL of the end of time events He spoke of in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 took place over 1900 years ago. 1 Jesus left the Temple area and was walking away. But his followers came to him to show him the Temple’s buildings. 2 He asked them, “Are you looking at these buildings? The fact is, they will be destroyed. Every stone will be thrown down to the ground. Not one stone will be left on another.” 3 Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. The followers came to be alone with him. They said, (Question#1) “Tell us when these things will happen.(Question#2) And what will happen to prepare us for your coming and the end of time?” - Matthew 24 vs 1 - 3 ... 1 Jesus was leaving the Temple area. One of his followers said to him, “Teacher, look how big those stones are! What beautiful buildings!” 2 Jesus said, “Do you see these great buildings? They will all be destroyed. Every stone will be thrown down to the ground. Not one stone will be left on another.” 3 Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. He was alone with Peter, James, John, and Andrew. They could all see the Temple, and they said to Jesus, 4 (Question #1) “Tell us when these things will happen. (Question #2) And what will show us it is time for them to happen?” - Mark 13 vs 1 - 4 ... 5 Some of the followers were talking about the Temple. They said, “This is a beautiful Temple, built with the best stones. Look at the many good gifts that have been offered to God.” 6 But Jesus said, “The time will come when all that you see here will be destroyed. Every stone of these buildings will be thrown down to the ground. Not one stone will be left on another.” 7 Some followers asked Jesus, (Question #1) “Teacher, when will these things happen? (Question #2) What will show us that it is time for these things to happen?” - Luke 21 vs 5-7 Clearly, the response given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, revolve around the events that took place during the same generation that His disciples were born into. 29 “Right after the trouble of those days, this will happen:‘The sun will become dark, and the moon will not give light. The stars will fall from the sky, and everything in the sky will be changed.’[c] 30 “Then there will be something in the sky that shows the Son of Man is coming. All the people of the world will cry. Everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds in the sky. He will come with power and great glory. 31 He will use a loud trumpet to send his angels all aroun 32 “The fig tree teaches us a lesson: When its branches become green and soft, and new leaves begin to grow, then you know that summer is very near. 33 In the same way, when you see ALL these things happening, you will know that the time[d] is very near, already present. 34 I assure you that ALL these things will happen while some of the people of this time are still living. 35 The whole world, earth and sky, will be destroyed, but my words will last forever. - Matthew 24 vs 32 - 35 And the details equally presented by Jesus Christ in Matthew 10 and Matthew 16 equally fit with the events laid out in the above passages. |
