komekn: No.no
I absolutely was talking about Markovich.
He is a player I knew very well and also was privy to what the club felt about him. I had seen him training way too many times and in U23 games.
In 2019 there was only one Marko in Liverpool and thats what every one called him.
So stop using your limited knowledge to make an assumptive deduction based on your perception not the facts.
I have looked at the original post in 2019 and although it actually says Grujic.
I just thought it was another name for Marko because that's what everyone called him. I would not comment about a player on loan in the Bundesliga that I haven't seen play and train before, or had any reports about with such ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.
I am not that emotive and prejudiced.
So you can believe what you like it seems so many have been waiting to see if the cam ascribe a LIE TO ME.
But it simply FAILS.

TheSuperNerd: Shocker
I hope it is not true but the links are strong.
Ekong to Watford.
That will be a major step down.
We already have Omeruo playing Segunda football and Rohr is ready to manage that but Ekong too?? This move better not happen. Really disappointing move. But I'll not be surprised if it happens. Watford, Udinese and Granada are owned by one family so they tend to trade players among their clubs. |

Everyday we keep arguing and hurling insults at each other over players that have voluntarily retired from the NT instead of focusing on the ones we have and the ones we can get.
We should respect the decisions of ighalo and Moses and allow them enjoy their retirement in peace.
Even if we succeed in convincing them to rethink and return, they'll still retire in a year or two.
These arguments are getting boring, let's channel the energy into the present players and prospects we have.
Shalom! |

forgiveness: You said he struggled with injury when he arrived in 2017 but fact on ground shows he came with injury in 2016.
You said he didn't recover on time that was why he didn't have game time but fact on ground showed he recovered on time for 2017/2018 season.
The fact remains that Osimhen was available for 24 matches in 2017/2018 season because he WAS FIT.
You should have said Osimhen didn't get to play because those Germans didn't believe in him. Very simple. He joined Wolfsburg in January 2017 |

forgiveness: When was he injured, throughout 2016/2017 season or throughout 2017/2018 season?
If he wasn't fit, why did he make the bench in the first match of 2017/2018 season and played for 6 minutes on the August 2017? I never said he was injured all though his time at Wolfsburg. I said he struggled with injuries, fitness and adaptation to a new environment. Your screenshots supported my point that he had 4 surgeries and was injured for 306 days. He made the bench when he was fit and played a few matches. He was behind Gomez and Origi in team. And I ask again how many players arrives from Africa at 18 and walk straight into the first team of a top 5 European football team? |

chrisooblog: God bless you for this. how can you be hyper critical of a kid going to Europe for the first time. un top of that suffered a very bad injury that took time to heal but gloating that he was a championship level player without even watching him play.
honestly if Victor was reading comments here on nairaland during that period the poor boy would have quit football out of frustration and depression. Some people are too quick to make conclusions on the careers of home grown players in Europe and they'll come here to tell us the theory of here and now forgetting there are so many factors involved. You don't expect a youngster coming to different environment for the first time with someone that was born there. Allow them to adapt and then compare. I know a friend that went left Nigeria to live and school with his uncle in USA at a very young age. He struggled with the food, weather, bullying, missing his parents and the standard of education. But once he settled in he was the best student and got a scholarship. Sometimes we have to give them time to fully adapt and blossom. Rome wasn't built in a day....... |

forgiveness: Bros, I am not here to rubbish Osimhen but to state facts.
Osimhen came to Wolburg in 2016/2017 season and he had injury throughout that season but he recovered earlier enough for the 2017/2018 season and even made the bench.
He was available for 24 matches in 2017/2018 before he sustained another injury.
Can you explain how he had serious injury throughout his whole career in the Bundesliga? According to your screenshots he was injured for 306 days....that's about 11 months. He was on the bench and played a few games when he was fit. But he didn't fully recover and was always off and on. Or you think a half fit player cannot make the bench? Moreover he had Mario Gomez Origi and Mehmedi ahead of him in the team. What were you expecting? Him waking into the first team and leading them to the league title or scoring 30 goals? He was a 17 years old first timer in Europe coping with injuries and adaptation. And his team wasn't patient with him. |

komekn: Injury is part of football.
How long was he Injured for at Wolfsburg 2 years
You are bending the truth backwards to present an untruth. He played a few games in the first team prior to that he had trained for how long and played in the youth team.
After a few games in the first team he was found to be poor and was sent back to the academy to learn more. He was simply not good enough. He arrived Wolfsburg in January, 2017 with an injury. From that time till May, 2018 he had four surgeries. ( Three on his kneel and one on his shoulder). Take notes he had a torn meniscus surgery which takes 3-6 months to fully recover from. Was he supposed to play from the hospital bed? Or you want to completely ignored the fact that it will take a while to get back to full fitness after each of those surgeries. We all know most players feature for their reserve team when recovering from injury. So he wasn't shipped to the reserves like you claimed He had serious injury and adaptation issue till he left in August, 2018. Not because he was poor as a footballer. He even failed trials at Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge because he had malaria. How many kids leave Africa at 17 to Europe and walk straight into the first team of a top 5 league team? Hear what Victor Osimhen said about his spell in Wolfsburg "The weather, the language, the food [affected me]. It was my first time in Europe, I was just 18-years-old, and I didn’t have enough time to acclimatize. They didn’t believe in me very much,” he told Sport1.

Dominic had won an outstanding accolade as an U20 player. It's not conclusive but highly indicative of quality and potential.
But Osimhen's U17 exploits is not an indication of quality and potential.
Dude has 3 surgeries on his right kneel and one on his shoulder. Came back to Lagos to recover and had malaria. |

komekn: Football is a short term career and deductions are always on the HERE and NOW and with context AT THAT TIME.
When Osimhen was at Wolfsburg he was very poor he played a few games and after that was relegated back to the youth team to learn.
My suspicion is that player coming from Nigeria academies in general not all but many will be lacking in a number of areas including technical ability and understanding. They are very raw so to speak.
On arrival at s good football academies there wellbeing many gaps in their football education.
Tyrone Mings England defender was released by Southampton as a 16 year old teenager he was considered too small. A year later he had grown 6 inches. Did Southampton make a wrong decision in the context of AT THAT TIME it was the right decision.
Forgiveness deduction was absolutely correct taken in the context of AT THAT TIME. The coach that brought him to Germany got sacked and he was injured in his right knee (a torn meniscus injury) and had to be operated 3 times. After surgery, he started training to get fit, while training he had a shoulder injury that needed another surgery. |

It's projection and probability.
Nonetheless, the post TheGoodJoe is referring to is over three years ago. When Osimhen was a mere teenager.
Was struggling in Wolfsburg contrary to the shameless misinformation and misrepresentation that has been presented as facts by a number of misguided contribututors.
That I HATE HIM.

TheSuperNerd: According to Oma Akatugba Who dropped the exclusives on Osimhen's Medicals being done and transfer update which he said would be made official by Tuesday or latest wednesday, Vic could be costing Napoli €81 million euros.
Likely breakdown is €50 million + Adam Ounas (worth €31million) OR €51 million euros + Adam Ounas (worth €30million).
Now that's an African record if confirmed officially.
And I think it's really cool Vic is permitting his entourage to give the privilege of exclusive info around his transfer to a Nigerian Journalist of international standing but not only because of that. It's because they have a good relationship and an understanding. That's some fine home bond. A brotherhood thing. Class act from Vic.
So other Journos looking to get an exclusive bite off the transfer of Vic would inevitably reference Oma.
Ladies and Gentlemen.... The transfer drama is about to come to a sweet end and a new chapter shall truly begin for our Super Lad, Osimhen. Stay tuned. Yesssssssss
