andrewbaba44: Agreed
The martinelli kid is not bad, but maybe he is being rated because he is brazillian
I dont rate him much thou, but i still think he is better than overrated Vinicius Akpororo Junior of madrid For an 18 years old boy playing in the Brazilian 4th division last season to score double figures for Arsenal in all competitions this season means something. He's very good. I hate his much higher than Vinicius. He was signed from Ituano in the Brazilian 4th division, not Santos or flamengos. |

I hope seeing this easy group the NFF will not be encouraged to push Rohr out and bring one home based coach since they feel we can easily qualify from the group. |

NFF technical committee didn't vote for her, the same technical committee they want Rohr to report to. Perpetual Nkwocha voted her as 5th. Its a shame we don't appreciate what we have.

Its funny how people keep making reference to how players were discovered in 1994, this is December 2019. In a few days it will be January 2020. The world has moved on. Pls wake up
You cannot compare the league back then with what it is now.
The same league that can't beat teams from lowly African countries.
The same league that the best selection can't make CHAN.
Where the coach accused the players of not understanding simple tactics.
A league where we still celebrate away wins.
The same league where you can buy a NPFL spot mid season and there will be a swap. (Selling goes to NNL, buyer moves up to NPFL) Like you are swapping a phone in computer village.
You want to unearthen gems that are in the twilight of their careers. Over aged players everywhere.
The league that can go on break and not resume for months.
Please let's not deceive ourselves, we have to improve the league if we want anybody to watch. Scouts prefer to go to academies that watch the league. That's how terrible it is.
If there are gems in the league, Salisu should do the job of discovering them. We have a home based Eagles team and they have a coach.
Rohr should be allowed to focus on monitoring the best legs we have in Europe. He shouldn't be caged because of some underperforming league.
Pinnick and the NFF should not scatter this team for us. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria To Renew Gernot Rohr’s Contract With Conditions by Koboko99(m): 12:20pm On Dec 27, 2019 |
TruthinAction: Rohr doesn't have a strong desire for the top. He is an average coach that celebrates third position. We need a coach that has a hunger for the top. A coach that will open up the camp for new players until he gets the very best in all positions like the USA 94 team. We are no longer in 1994. We've moved on. Senior national teams no longer open the camps for every tom, dick and Harry to come have a tryout. They invite the best players they have in top club sides. You'll not see what Rohr is doing until a local coach will come in and start inviting players from Malta and Azerbaijan. The man is going well. The country has some of the finest young talents playing in good clubs in Europe. |

RiddlesofFate: Really @the bolded? How about Paul Aigbogun (U20)? Imama Amakapabo (U23 & Home Eagles)? Manu Garba (U17)? Danjuma (Falcons). All of the friends of Pinnick he hired as coaches failed woefully in their assignments. But Pinnick has continued to keep them and NFF has continued to pay them salaries.. They'll probably be allowed to handle preparations for the next squads in 2020, despite failing in the same assignments in 2019. You dey mind them. It baffles me how he can come to that conclusion when these coaches that failed woefully still have their jobs |

OKorowanta: Amaju amaju amaju! Una dey give pesin 20m salary for one month and yet we've not won the world cup.. Una no well! You wan to win the world cup because you are paying the coach 20million? How much do you think Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Germany pay their coaches? You should also carry placards to the govt house and national assembly to protest for good governance since your politicians earn more to do nothing |

charlesemeka85: Karim the 9ja German youth teamer abi? Kid is super talented and destined for the top. He is similar to barca's ansu but faster The boy is very good with a tantalising left leg. They have already rejected a 15 million bid from Barcelona for him. Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in him. Just like Orobosa in Bayern I don't think we stand a chance of landing him. |

charlesemeka85: Yea they are. Once you are signed as an unpolished talented rookie, they will send you on loan to lefering another team in the Austrian 2nd tier owned by the red bull company where the player will be slowly introduced to European football and education.
The player will be monitored and if he makes progress in his development he will be brought back to salzburg's first team immediately to play in the Austrian top tier.
Good performances will then propel the club to sell to other teams in top leagues in Europe or move the player to Leipzig in the bundesliga also owned by the red bull company.
It's a good move for the lad which will help his development and footballing education. I just hope other youngsters in the local scene will follow such route to top leagues in Europe. I know about them. They have a very good set up for young players. Karim is currently with Leifering and they rejected a bid from Barcelona for him. Tijani is in good hands. Wise investment by Red Bull. There was an appeal to stop either Salzburg or Leipzig from participating in the champions league because they were owed by the same company but it failed. |
