TheSuperNerd: Kayode scored against Mikel and Nwakaeme's Trabzonspor. Ended 1-1. That's his 9th goal of the league in 21 games. Also has 6 assists.
Meanwhile Ebere Eze just bagged an assist for QPR. He is now on 11 goals and 8 assists in 37 league apps. Eze scores to make it 3-1 in favour of QPR |

One of the most painful moments of this past weekend was VAR cancelling that beautiful goal scored by Kelechi Iheanacho. That goal was a stunner and deserves to stand.
The reason being that the ball hit his arm but the ball also hit the defender's arm beforehand. This VAR issues really needs to be fixed.

ChrisKels: It is a fantasy and I couldn't think of a better prospective ball playing CM, hence my position. So far at Huesca, the signs are positive, should he keep improving and help Huesca back to the La Liga, then...
You all having doubts should bookmark that line up for future references I hope he continues on this path. Very soon he'll get his chance in the team. He is listed in the Huesca squad and I think he'll wear jersey no 90

mostob: Why do I think this racism of a thing is overblown. One life principle is that once people find a perfect weapon against you and you externally shows them it pains, they will continually use it against you anytime they want. The best thing is to find a perfect antidote which to me is to use the weapon(racism) to your best advantage. Take for instance, Dani Alves , he was racially abused.A banana was thrown at him when he was about to take a corner, he neither whined nor walked out of the field, he picked it up , ate it and went ahead to bag an assist from the corner kick. You were racially abused and u angrily left the field, that to me feels like u are not proud of your root, skin colour and who you are. Racism doesn't have an antidote..the best weapon is to render it useless . Black players should stop being childish, show some resilience and toughness. They got broken down easily. This is my own opinion... no insult pls.
cc oga pidgib You thinks it's easy to just accept being racially abused, there is nothing chilshish about walking away. Everyone has a different tolerance level. The fact that you can accept some things and act like they don't exist doesn't mean I can do the same thing. Everyone cannot be Dani Alves. I'm sure you've never been abused racially so you have no idea what it is to be in that man's shoes. Imagine being called a monkey by the same people you gave your blood and sweat when you played for them some years back. Imagine a stadium with over 15 thousand people calling you a monkey. I didn't just watch the video I listened carefully, when he was walking out, there was a chant by the away fans calling him name..... thousands of people for that matter!! Mind you the monkey chants started from the start of the match. He only walked away after he scored because he couldn't take it anymore. The perfect antidote....he scored the winning goal, showed them his skin colour before asking to be subbed off.

TheSuperNerd: OGN reports that Kelechi Nwakali has been training with Huesca's first team and has been impressive so far so much that the club coaches and officials are kinda backtracking on their initial plans to send him out on loan to CD Ejea in the Spanish Third tier.
The report also says that the coaches are working hard on getting K.Nwakali's fitness up to speed so as to get him involved in Huesca's hunt for promotion towards the remaining parts of the Segunda season.
If true, then I think this is really positive news. I pray this news is true. |

LaMujer: another Racism case I watched the video and I was very disappointed are FC Porto players especially otavio. They held him back and tried to convince him to play on. Instead of walking out with him. The three points was more important to them than the dignity of their team mate. I love what he did, he scored the winning goal, celebrated it by showing them the colour of his skin, walked off and told them to go Bleep themselves!!! The funny thing is Marega played on loan for the same team that racially abused him in 2016/2017 season and scores 14 goals while on loan. FIFA and other football governing bodies need to do better. Fines cannot move these people instead deduct 15 points for teams when their fans racially abuse any player. That will make them feel the heat. |

I think the use of VAR is selective. What works for one team doesn't work for another. Son gets a red card, Maguire goes free. Liverpool vs macln city the ref turned a blind eye to handballs but they will hurriedly award penalties to their favorites times. Its a another way of blind favouritism at work.
That game yesterday was annoying....Maguire should have gotten a red card and 12 strokes of koboko for that silly challenge |

TheGoodJoe: These nairaland mods are useless, I swear.
See me blasting them on the Ighalo to Manchester United thread for not moving the Nairaland Nigerian Football Fans Award thread to the front page when Ighalo won it and they are hiding the post. J Shame on them. I find it very funny that so many Manchester United fans on my contact list will quickly post status when the club signs players but they've all been silent since Ighalo was signed. Not even one person posted the news on their status. If it's Dalot, Rojo or James they'll jump quickly at the news but when it's their country man they all went into ghost mode. Go to FrontPage or even twitter and see how some people are bashing and talking down the club for signing him. It's super annoying. We should be happy and support our own. I wish him the best. I pray he delivers and prove them wrong. Up Eagles! |

Philosopher1979: Nigerian players like kelechi nwakali alhassan ibrahim (who plays like Kanu) do not make it in Europe because they have bad agents and not talent. I think European teams treat our players like shit and it is unfair. Something needs to be done about the way our players transfer to European clubs. There is a structural problem somewhere that is not necessarily the players fault. It is soo bad and persistent it needs to be studied by a social scientist in a University. It might have to do with exploitation, poverty, greed and ignorance Nwakali has a bad agent? That's why he's career has stalled right? What are you even saying? You see the truth right before your eyes and you want to pretend like there's nothing there. Don't even try to shift the blame on anyone. He is the sole reason why his career has stalled. Talent is never enough, you need to understand that. |
