After one year, I received the Passport Request email. I have a little issue right now, my biometrics expires in 2027 and I would like to extend it before submitting.
Please does anyone know how to go about it? |

I’m in the same boat with you, applied for my gcms notes which arrived about a month ago nothing new. I don comot mind for their matter as they can do as they wish with their visa. odehbrainard: Application for Canada visa submitted since February this year. Application done from the uk. In fact I got a Schengen visa which I applied for recently and got it yet Canada still hasn’t responded to me. I am really disappointed in them. I really don’t care anymore cause I missed my mums birthday because of their visa delays. |

Lexusgs430: Your normal Nigerian driving licence works well, but it's linked to the stamp on your passport.......
Your one year starts to count from the date you arrived......... I thought as much. Thank you for the response. |

Lexusgs430: I use my UK license to drive all the time in Nigeria and have used it for over 20 years with no issues whatsoever. The only downside is you have exposed yourself as a JJC. Honorable chairman, is like to ask you a question and I’d appreciate it if you take time from your busy schedule to respond. Is it a must to use an international driving license or I can just use my regular Nigerian license for the first year on the UK. Many Thanks. |

Ndubestjude: Oh thank you for the informations bro, but the Singapore is it with working visa? Clarify us Be careful boss! You seem desperate, Singapore is not easy. Don’t let anyone sell you a pipe dream of the Singaporean work visa. You are better off in Nigeria till you can find a way to get to Canada. I have lived in Asia for 6 years in the past, so I know what I am saying. |

Yes, I got the 5 years validity. babyfaiz: Did you get the same 5 years validity period like we get by in Nigeria? If so, do you know when the 5 year validity started? Let’s say a Nigerian that applied from the UK in 2022 got 2 or 5 or 10 years validity? |

Madam, I’m a dependant on my wife who’s a student and we’ve only being in the UK for 8 months. Just get all necessary info, it’s not rocket science don’t let anyone put fear in you. You have a job that you’ll be returning to, that’s very important. Christabeliciou: @OyoTunjiUSA,
Thanks for your response.
My profile here it's my job, I the main applicant and my husband dependant. Children in Nigeria schooling not able to come with them and was told by UKVI that they can apply on their own for visiting if they wish because they are not eligible as being above 18yrs. I just clocked 1yr recently. I am entitled to leave from work. So does it mean I have to wait for 3yrs before I can apply for vacation to the US that's strange. Have had quite a good travel history before I finally came to the UK. I have come on 6months, 2yrs visiting on vacation to the UK before I finally got this job. I have been to Dubai twice on vacation , Ghana vacation all the while i was in Nigeria, and I returned as at when stated.
I still believe that there are some people that has not stayed up to 3yrs and still got the visa.
However, like they said one of the most important thing is the information filled in your DS-160 form.
That's why I am asking for tips and guidance, probably i am not doing it rightly as expected.
Because for all my travels before now has been from the right information gathered from the Nairaland UK visiting Visa justwise, UK Skilled worker, all the suggestions and contributions I gathered when applied paved way for me.
So I am here for guidance, I don't think I have to be 3yrs before I can apply.
The last refusal I got was that I told them am going on a vacation for 14 days, and I will visiting some tourists attractions like the statue of Liberty, etc and few shopping.
Please let the suggestions and contributions come in, as open to learn
Thanks a lot |

Yes, you can still apply. Just make sure you state the previous denial. Whenever you’re ready just mention me, it’s pretty straightforward. Ps: I do not have access to the email on file. Christabeliciou: Thanks for your response I appreciate.
So I can still apply as going for vacation then. If you don't mind I will appreciate asking questions when I intend to start, at least am happy have seen someone given. Because of a truth back then in Nigeria we have had 3 deniers and that kept me saying probably there's something I am not doing right.
Thanks so much |

Letter from your employer Payslips Statements BRP Itinerary. The most important thing is the information filled in your DS-160 form. I was not asked for any of these during my interview only thing she asked was my marriage certificate. For London, their hand soft I swear. Christabeliciou: Hello Gurus in the house.
Please I need guidance on visiting the US for a vacation..
2022 while I was in Nigeria tourists visa for vacation was denied.
Currently, I am in the UK as a skilled worker, I want to visit the US for a vacation, what and what do I need. Do I still go on a tourist visit on vacation or conference, if it's conference, then what conferences will relate to my kind of job as a skilled worker for Health Care Assistant/Support worker. So I don't really know what the US embassy wants.
Please your suggestion and opinions will count. Thanks |

Hi all,
How long does it take the embassy after interview to send out the passport?
My wife who’s a student, her passport has been sent out (I’m the one sponsoring the whole trip) two days after the interview. |

In Nigeria, it should be pretty easy to get within the ten days. Contact a lawyer, they will be able to assist in getting it. Ihangha123: Thank you so much for the response. But considering the time it will take before getting the court documents and the 10 days that was given to my sister to get the additional documents. Pease is there a way you can suggest that this court documents can be gotten within this shot time? Two days are already gone out of the 10 days. Please here is my email: Sammy.adoga@yahoo.com I will really appreciate if you will send an email |

Understood, but I only replied to that based on experience. Most people would tender affidavit instead of the court document. There are other ways, the school the child attends can write a letter, if there’s a family doctor he/she can also attest to which parent has been caring for the child. advanceDNA: Let them do what UKVI ask them... lately ukvi has been denying minor application with only the sole custody document.. they now ask for additional proofs that the child cannot stay with her other parent thats in Nigeria and also clear proof the parent traveling with the child has always been the one caring for child alone in resent times |

Hello, Your sister should go to the court and get a sole parental responsibility court document that says she has all sole parental responsibility on her son. That’s the only way they’ll let the application slide. All these side-track of providing biometrics and job information is just running around. Let her get the court document (NOT AFFIDAVIT O). Ihangha123: Good evening gurus in the house. My sister submitted an application for her self and that of her son and their biometrics was on the 29th February and there was a request for additional information on the 4th March and it was send as requested and yesterday the 19 of March additional information was requested again for her son as follows "Please provide the following information: Your fathers passport with biometrics information and evidence of your father business and work commitment". Kindly not that my sister is currently married legally to a different man who is now in the UK under care giver job. However a concern letter was sorted from the man who is the biological father to my sister son and submitted at the beginning of the submission but this man was never married with my sister and getting the above information from the man is not possible, please your advice is highly recommended. |

Ok. Thank you very much. I’ll let you know once I have an update. dduchess90: Hello
If a decision has been made and you still haven’t gotten a refusal till now then it’s a positive outcome
It still has to go through the queue for the remaining stages i.e getting your visa vignette ready, preparing and emailing your decision letter, etc
Cheers |

Thank you. One thing I’m curious about; is it safe to assume the visa has been issued when a decision has been made a week ago or it’s just hanging in there? dduchess90: Hello
Yes you have to wait for 15 days before re-escalating
Be patient
Cheers |

Good day everyone!
My wife is the MA, our daughter’s application was just applied for last month October 10th. I called on Monday, and I was told decision has been made but there’s no collection email.
Before Monday, I had to escalate once before Monday when I was told a decision has been made. No refusal email yet, and there’s no refund.
I called yesterday trying to escalate it again but I was told to wait till the first escalation reaches 15 days.
Is anyone else going through the same thing? |

Politics › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Run The African Union? by KodakBlack: 5:39pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
LOL. So, we should stay defenseless and helpless? Why did you think it took them 400 years before invading Africa? All we need is to be able to defend ourselves against any invasion again and that starts from breaking away mentally from the colonial ideology. -KB. Evilthoughts: If we can negotiate and take some for ourselves while we guard theirs with our army.
So you want war with the west? . You will fight or run? |
Politics › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Run The African Union? by KodakBlack: 5:16pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
Let me ask you a question. Do you think after depleting our natural resources, they will share with us what they have stockpiled? The only way to break free from these modern day colonialism is to arm ourselves to the teeth and practice socialism. -KB. Evilthoughts: But the West will never free Africa not while the resources of Africa feed them. It is better we work with them for the interest of Nigeria citizens |
Politics › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Run The African Union? by KodakBlack: 4:47pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
That there my chairman is the problem!!!! The WEST has kept us impoverished for the last 100 years with their policies and now, we should be the protector of their policies? We need to do away with their policies and every other suggestions from them. All the WEST has done is use their policies to cart away our diminishing resources to their countries. I do not agree with that school of thought, sir. -KB. Evilthoughts: They'd have a country that will protect their policies and we get our cut which is to control the rest of Africa and pronounce visa free entry for Nigerians in all of Africa |
Politics › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Run The African Union? by KodakBlack: 4:29pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
Very good suggestion, Comrade! Now, why would the west agree to such arrangement? What do they benefit? These are important questions we need to answer. -KB. Evilthoughts: We can negotiate with the west to let us lead and control it so that we put policies that favour us like visa free for Nigerians to all African countries |
Politics › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Run The African Union? by KodakBlack: 4:12pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
Well, the AU was not created by the African countries. In fact it was created by the WEST for the African countries hence that is why it is useless. How can we control something that wasn't ours to begin with? -KB. Evilthoughts: Most African countries are useless with small economies and industrial. If Nigeria run and head the AU then we can dictate better policies for trade and visa free migration for all members. This will create more opportunities for us and unity for all Africans.
