Hello guys, I intend to apply for my MFin at Sobey School of Business (Saint Mary's Uni, Halifax). I've done tons of research on them and chose the school mainly because they waive GMAT and have a good syllabus.
My concern is that I've heard/read lots of people advice that a co-op program is better (longer study period that may help in getting WP later) than regular full-time study. How true is that?
My program is for 12 months, is that too short to stand a chance for work permit after my study?
Is it possible for graduate students (intl) to get relevant work experience during their breaks? Or is it just flipping burgers at McDonald's?

I think the CUAC deals with Atlantic Canada alone. The school I intend on applying to directed me to CUAC to apply through them. I know CUAC definitely limits your choices of schools to Nova Scotia and other places but asides this limitation, are there any other concerns you have about them? To answer your question, I think there are loads of Canadian agents (I know one in Ibadan) but you really could apply yourself and save costs.

But nawa, if there were limited vacancies, why call it a graduate trainee program implying that you need a lot of hands? If you're saying a candidate passed but you don't have space, why did you waste his time in the first place? 10 vacancies at your firm that you're conducting a recruitment exercise for does not qualify as graduate trainee program in my opinion.

They sent me another reminder mail this evening, I followed with another mail to their HR and like 5 minutes after I sent another mail to their HR, I received the mail about being under review that everyone else got. I guess the traffic on the portal was too much and the system had issues. You'll receive yours too if you haven't already.

I finished my 2nd test around 10am ish too and I didn't receive any mail. Then this evening, I received a reminder mail for me to go and complete my 2nd assessment I'm still confused. I mailed the careers address stating my predicament and asking what the recruitment manager would advice I do Do you guys think I should retake the test? And yes, I'm positive that I clicked on submit in the morning. I hope they reply my message oo

Hi guys, I tried to go through all the posts from page 0 but it's all too much. I ordered an item from ALiexpress with free shipping via China Post and when I tracked the order with the tracking number I was given, it showed "Arrival at delivery office" with a date of 9th Oct. The next line however shows "Unsuccessful delivery" for the same date. The address I put down is my office address in V.I and there's a post office in the vicinity, should I go there to check if they have my order? What would I need to hold to claim my item? Please it's really urgent oo, na from no money I take buy this thing.

Sorry I'm just seeing and replying this, I was a bit busy. And yes, that's the same mail I got. It came in the night, I saw mine around 10pm ish. You know the way they send their messages to multiple recipients at a time, we that got that mail around the same time were probably cc'ed together in the same mail. I'm almost certain you'll receive yours as well since you didn't get a regret mail. Please don't fret, it wasn't an invite or anything. You'll probably get yours today.

I got a calm down mail from AZ today. But it seems there's still one more stage of interview. Fingers crossed
