This virus has been in existence for long to me it's a man made virus because the virus is not airborne so it's someone somewhere that is controlling things because the virus didn't leave the lab on its own GOD should just save us. My theory some people somewhere are playing God and time will tell. my prayer is that we don't fall a victim of there evil conspiracy
quote author=AmTruth post=88055818]You are right and hopefully manageable sickness than corona where you would not be required to use respirator and all connected tubes that might not be accessible if situation gets worst.
It's even said that the Corona virus dead body is not accessible to Family but a property of NCDC to dispose. The issue associated to this virus is never near to my liking.
Yes terrible but lack of food will eventually lead to sickness

AmTruth:
I understand you, but the suggestion you gave can't easily happen in the immediate. While waiting for that from the government if only it would happen. I think handling both sickness and hunger will be a terrible experience

Hummmm handling hunger, if you have been hungry before you will understand the word " Hunger" the best way the government can help is by finding a means to have food prices reduced because if it's ordinary garri some people have at home they are happy with it than having nothing but as per attacking the rich no gain in it because it's either it leads to death or jail time

Very thought provoking words sir

It's a shame

But also note it's not a Nigerian thing ohh, Yankee people own can be very wicked,

Yankee guy caught rubbing his hands with spit and putting it in car handles sharing the coronavirus

Another Yankee guy, spitting on fruits in a store

Yankee peeps rubbing their hands on hand rails all around town

How where they caught: CCTV cameras

CCTV is a long shot in this country

why Yankee people no dey too do wicked is the government has its grip on the economy so wickedness is kinda not easy to perpetuate plus they are better informed, in our case, anybody can stand up sell paracetamol as drugs for coronavirus drug and government won't know and the people lack right source of info, I'm not really trying to push blames on the government

Better still, we can all say lots of words on this forum and anywhere else, but truth is wen the government has a better grip o the economy, a lot of mishaps can be averted, like the woman selling Lipton as drug for joints, she would have been fished out almost the exact day she started and punished, but our naija case, police sef wey catch her go collect their share(sometimes cos they are not well paid cos our government overpay themselves and deliver next to nothing to people that put them in power), after they collect theirs, she continues her folly, others too would emulate her ways cos they know nothing would happen cos in Nigeria is anything goes, then everyone catch the virus of duping cos it pays more than a honest living plus no punishment is served to defaulters cos ; this is Nigeria

Even the government itself flouts court judgement so who would put them in check
If the story is true the way we are told, there is a Yoruba proverb that says one shouldn't speak evil of the dead. but in this situation if the story is true then i will blame Joseph R.I.P to him because if he was not driving a stolen car there is no point in running simply stop explain the reason the car is yet to get a plate number and why he is on the road despite the lock down instead of running from one check point to the extent he was chased by soldier and even when the Tyre was shot why come down and run like a criminal, although he might be scared but las las na police station he go end instead of running and then ending his life in the process and regarding the officer that shot him as a well trained military man he could have shot him in the leg to make him stop and he then they can find out the reason behind him running but nope he decided to go for a killer shot. and the police saying he reported himself and he his not himself i see all that one as damage control, the government need to let the soldiers know it might be called lock down but its not a war lock down rather a lock down to save lives and end covid 19. they should always control their emotions while handling the gun, now out of their senseless shooting they have thrown a family into sorrow, its a democracy era not military era, we don;t need to kill ourselves. but honestly i still don't believe whatever comes out of the mouth of a police officer them sabi do damage control wella

funny thing once there is an issue some Nigerians see it as a means to either scam or sell fake products. honestly we just blame the govt all the time what we citizens do to ourselves is worst than what the govt are doing. take for example a woman was caught sell Lipton tea she repacked to market women as drugs to help them with joints and supply blood at the rate of 10k and she allow them pay her bits by bits imagine all this old women and their fellow woman decided to take advantage of their ignorance and scam them, just imagine such people in the realm of power, i cant just imagine the pains we cause for each other, if they wanna sell do it in a way that wont backfire or make people feel its scam why do we see every bad situation as an opportunity to scam and steal its obvious we don't love ourselves in this country that's why the govt keep treating us as trash

You ain't wrong bro honestly the main problem is the youth the energy we use and Twitter to fight baseless war of words between countries and schools why not channel that power and come together as one create our own party do a free and fair primary election ,no godfather then support who ever wins but no we won't when election comes you see the same Youth campaign for the same set of assholes that neglected for 4 years only to buy them with few gift and money package, check out the market women there goods will be thrown into gutttera and destroyed by task force, but let election come once they are given Ankara and 4 de Rica of rice and 2k each they will sing their praises and give them their votes hence selling the future of their kids for penny. So long we don't speak one language this nation will remain the same , so long we refuse to understand religion for what it is and not follow the blindly there won't be progress so long we still fight tribal wars they won't be promise Land.
My prayer is for plans to work out fine and say bye bye for good to this shit hole

PHAYOL81:

You have a point too. Methink the problem of this nation are the subjects the so-called greedy leaders govern over. No elected repesentative is more powerful than the electorates; if only we can exercise that power, this nation would've turn around for good.
First off, the power to force a change is in our unity. Trust me, even though another political party step onto the podium today, the issues we are dealing with will still remain our nemesis because the entire structure is messed up. Each elected member has come to believe s/he has no or little need for worry because there will ever be a faction of the population who would defend him/her irrespective of the performance hence the misbehaviour and resources mismanagement. And ain't that true? Look around at all the politicians we have today and you'll realise each one of them has a huge fanbase and that's not because of their performance 'cause not many of them score upto average but because of the religious, tribal and/or partisan affiliation.
Youth of today need to look into this and begin demanding for performances. Having said this though, things had to be carefully implemented without making a faction look bad. We can demand for good governance without too many critism. A state resident can demand for basic needs from the state government without critisizing. Take for instance we need good water supply, we all can keep torturing the government with this same demand across all available fronts without abusing or making anybody look bad. This unity of purpose will force the politician's hand to do something because he would be afraid s/he might run into trouble anywhere because the demand is coming from everywhere.
And the way we glorified them had to stop. We all know these guys are looters but when they turn up in town, some nutcases would rather sing their praise for peanuts than to show their grief at some wrongs that they do. This is one problem we need to walk away from if we want this country to prosper. My take is to always call for a better performance especially when these politicians are in town and let them realise that their longetivity on that seat depend greatly on how better they fare. Simple. We may even demand for the removal of any of them together with petitions to the court and push in another long before the time for another general election. But this all depend on us. Eventhough the pertition may not work, at the general election, we can easily flush anyone out. If we lessen our critism and magnify our voice of demanding, we end up getting what we want because no politician can buy everyone. What they buy are only few who sow seed of patriotisms into many others using the tribal, religion and/or the party lines.
And lastly we should be ready to demand our right from the right quarters. Mostly we blame the FG for practically everything that happens in our respective state thereby exonerating the real culprit and condemning the wrong body. Quite alright the FG has some few things they owe each state like the allocations, good inter-state channels including good roads and rail networks, good power supply and few other support progrmme, but the onus should be on the state arms of government to make the state works. And how many state are working in this country of ours? I think except Lagos State that are a little above average in term of governance and policy-making, the rest are absolutely poor but majority of the residents of these states focus more on the central government than their immediate leaders. Until we start pointing fingers at the right body, this country would still have difficulty progressing to the promise land we all want.
This is just what i feel. I may be wrong though.
