Bro don't be an asshole in my comment to you I stated that I stand to be corrected which simply means I can make mistakes and we can correct each not u acting me as if u were sent by Buhari take your stupidity away from me and get yourself a life it's Monday

idealogical:
You are the one with the frustration, you are asking me to produce what's already been posted, it's even the topic on the front page. Go and read it before your next comment and instead of arguing, show us where the constitution is against the president's action.
PoliticsRe: Should Nigeria Print More Money? Well, I Don't Think So.. by koffsman(m): 8:54am On Mar 30, 2020
"your" or our country

Nairobi33:
And how do you intend to do away with global market when your country depend heavily on importation of goods and services to survive?
PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 8:11am On Mar 30, 2020
Actually I see u are here to act stupid why don't you take your frustration somewhere else

idealogical:
So, you didn't read what the OP posted, you are just commenting? No wonder you sound confused.

Can you also tell me the law and acts the president used in his speech to make such decisions on the states behalf we are all here to learn instead of you to chip in opinion on why you feel he has the right to do what he did you are here criticising what I wrote even the Op we had a good chat and we both came to a mature conclusion which is way better than what you dragging with me. Bros state you own opinion

idealogical:
Instead of quoting lawyers expressing their own personal opinion that's not based on the constitution, show us the part of the constitution the president violated because the last time I checked and according to what the OP posted, the constitution is OK with the president's actions.
PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 7:49am On Mar 30, 2020
I stand to be corrected but you saying am confusing myself let me quote a San

“We are running a constitutional democracy and it is illegal for the President to take over the affairs of any state of the federation without the express consent of the people of that state through their elected representatives.

“It is only the governor of the state through the House of Assembly of the state that can make any declaration concerning the people of that state. Little wonder that the President could not cite any law that he relied upon for his declaration.”

So next time be very mindful of what you say to others have a good day.

idealogical:
They don't have to, but I'm 100% sure they did.

Is there any stipulation in the constitution that says the FG must-seek approval from the NASS or any other arm of government? The president acted based on the Nigerian constitution that wasn't written or decreed in any military era, it's a civilian constitution so stop mixing things up to confuse yourself and the people reading your posts.

Stop making things up, deal with what's in the Nigerian constitution.

They actually need to do with the world economy on lock down if we don't how do we bounce back with the way our leaders squander money . Because to me if we don't naira will not have any vaule ever again
PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 7:40am On Mar 30, 2020
Very good question here is it all the federal government needed to do was place a call to the AG of the federation to advice on the best approach since they know the laws better than we do and the AG will connect with the AG of Lagos State who will in turn advise the governor and national assembly on reasons we need lock down in Lagos State but the president by passed all of this thinking it's still military era. If you check well when Obj wanted to declare state of emergency in ekiti he went through the Senate if he Buhari wanted to do it well he would have gone through the Senate also but since the script was written on his behalf and he failed to vet it what do you expect
idealogical:
Is the Nigerian constitution also different or it's been amended to say the FG must bow to LASG and seek approval before enacting national policies and actions?
PoliticsRe: Feeding School Children Under Covid-19 Lock-down: Am I Missing Something? by koffsman(m): 7:33am On Mar 30, 2020

PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 7:20am On Mar 30, 2020
Bros if only our law makers abide by the same law they make it will have been extremely nice but nope they don't so it's disheartening they need each state national assembly and governor to approve not president saying lock down on their behalf even if he wants to by pass them to declare state of emergency he needs the Senate is all am saying sir.

Because Lagos is not part of the Fulani Republic of Naijeriya, FRNhuh

PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 6:47am On Mar 30, 2020
Bro agreed we all want to be safe but that yeye presidio does not have the power to tell us lock down in Lagos,. Even Sanwo-Olu on the 29 denied trying to do such. we are no longer in Military regime they need the national assembly to approve and also what relief materials have they provided to we the citizens take for example I'm a salary earner who has a baby and a wife at home and salary is yet to be paid, money in the account has been used to stock up the house, so now how do we survive for the next 14 days no light we no go buy fuel? gas go finish won't we cook? now let's leave me alot of people have perishable goods in stock who will give them rebate we need to consider this, westerns planned theirs well but our leaders just do copy and paste we are not up to 200m in this country why not share money to everyone through BVN simple as that. we keep hearing they donated this donated that and where has the 15b gone too abegii we are in a charade of Jokers

PIPnator10:
People no go keep quiet now and respect the order of this yeye president for once.
I no like this president but that doesnt mean I no go respect this particular order.
This is exactly how America became the epicenter of this disease.
Trump gave order for stay at home, social distance, lockdown but they all flouted it.
Moved around like its a thing of pride to distribute the disease. Today, they have highest number of cases.

For once Nigeria, stay locked-down, restrain free and unnecessary movement until this disease is controlled and a possible vaccine is gotten.
Its simple!

If you check bro bubu speech he had no laws to support himself with that alone is enough to tell him to shut the hell up he should wait till the bill is passed before he considers using the power so till then he can shove his speech down his own throat because I know lawyers that will let him know that bros u know nothing, but truth be told Buhari knows nothing he feels it's still military era so he does what he wants I wonder what his advisers are doing.

PoliticsRe: The Act That Gives The President The Power To Lock Down Lagos, Ogun & FCT. by koffsman(m): 6:24am On Mar 30, 2020
Hope you know that during that period we were been ruled by the westerns and also the military so it's quit different to democracy, he needs the national assembly of Lagos State to approve and it's only Sanwo-Olu that can deaclear such in Lagos and more so if Buhari wants to order for State of emergency he needs the Senate to approve but unfortunately senate sef no sit down so he has no power too no be military era we dey bros
