alj harem: LOL it is very common on this site to find Igbos claim origins they know nothing about not to talk of being from that place.

Example

Akin egba
Adejoro
Ngodigha
tomakint
policewoman
etc

You all are the same, it is the same pattern. Tell him/her to answer my question of her place of origin and I would ask some questions about the place if truly he/she is sure of herself
bukkyade too.

I suspect Tomakint being pointb

short and sweet and direct to the eye of the bull. I gbadun this interview.

The part about Jonathan going to kneel before Adeboye to get the christian votes gives me a cause for worry. Come 2015, I do not want jonathan to get any Yoruba christian votes except that of the ibos. C

Can we now see that Adeboye is also throwing spanner in the wheel of our progress as a country?

We should be asking for the heads of some of these religious leaders as well as the corrupt politicians. They are indeed the ones behind the rot in our society.

A revolution is impending.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Lauds Oshiomhole On Edo Devt by kofoshi: 6:11pm On Feb 14, 2013
Oshiomole not very pleased with the ACN merger and now OBJ praising him to high heavens?

Something tells me that there is more to this than meets the eye. Oshio and OBJ are in serious talks. APC better keep their eye on Oshio. Something smells very fishy here and I don't think it's tilapia.

Wow! I'm getting rather excited about the 2015 elections. I think APC has a clincher in a Buhari/Fashola ticket.

Goddex: Tinubu did not want any rival. He plotted to remain the Alpha and Omega
of South West politics and decided to gang up with north west against the speakership
slot allocated to South West. A friend of mind described that action as the hieght of stupidity.
I think Tinubu's move was a master stroke.

He killed all the possibility of PDP's presence in the West.
PoliticsRe: Marginalisation: Presidency Worried, Meets S/west Leaders by kofoshi: 3:22pm On Feb 14, 2013
Rubbish!

What part of the constitution made it mandatory for the executive to appoint his ministers on a quota basis? It is only morally and ethically justifiable to represent all in a country which is clearly not homogeneous. In essence, Jonathan is not bound by the law to make sure that all the major ethnic groups are represented but it is good for him to do so to foster unity.

Nevertheless, Yorubas should not complain. They should see this as a way to strategise since we can now see all the SE and SS cards on the table.
PoliticsRe: Marginalisation: Presidency Worried, Meets S/west Leaders by kofoshi: 11:46am On Feb 14, 2013
kettykings: Whatever goes around comes around , I am sure just the same way when other people were marginalized and starved and killed and the SW looked the other way and today they are marginalized that is the same way , the Genocidal cycle will come to the South West Region and they will know what it means to have their women raped and farm lands sabotaged and young men shot in their prime in the name of Keeping Nigeria United and at the end of the day if at all they have savings in any bank they will be given 20 pounds equivalent.

The genocidal and marginalization flow started in the East in 1967 it has come to the North presently with Boko Haram Shooting and killing anything in their path and the Nigerian Army shooting them in their hundreds with their Economy destroyed and young men killed in their prime and Northerners crying of Marginalization in the Army and Government and it must complete its cycle by going to the South West very soon.
...and who would see to that happening?
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by kofoshi: 12:02am On Feb 13, 2013
I found the part about the Paul Anber "person" to be quite intriguing and revealing a lot about how the ibos have managed to turn propaganda into a special attribute of theirs. They do it so well.

I think more investigation should be done to reveal who is or was behind that monica.

What an outstanding piece and a very enlightening read it was.

...but you only give conditions when there is an apparent bilateral transaction or negotiation. That does not seem to be the case here. There was no transaction or agreement between Ohaneze and APC for that matter so what is the basis need for the condition as you so call it?

rhymz: hahahahahah. . .my friend, I just hope you are not considering a career in politics because if you are, you have a hard time getting along with such a very narrow-minded mentality.
I can sense the general lack of reality check in many of the posts from Yoruba commentators, they seem to assume that homogenuity is the only way they can win. I am presently in the north, I have participated in countless elections here as INEC presiding officer, trust me, CPC is only popular in the papers and the reasons are very obvious, the print media especially is controlled mostly by SWesterners. Anyway, that is besides the point; my point is this, if I were to go by your own logic, the APC will have to also forfeit the northern votes cos in reality, the PDP is hugely popular there. So is it ok to also use thesame logic and dismiss the north cos seriously if the PDP and CPC should do a popularity contest here in the north, CPC wont even come a distant 5th. So whats your point? Concentrate only on the SW votes, apparently it is the only region that has some degree of uniformity and ease to win ....lol
so good you had to post it thrice, right? wink

You might be right, I did not base my analysis on pure facts but on speculation.

However, what you failed to do in asserting your knowledge of the Northern electorate is to apply the same logic to the Eastern region. If it is possible that the North is mostly in support of PDP and going by that reason would vote predominantly for Jonathan because as you say, they have a stronger alliance to a party rather than their own ethinicity, then you should apply the same reasoning to the ibos, non? It means in effect that the ibos votes is likely to sway to a PDP northern candidate, should jonathan cross over to a different party, am I right?

The goodwill that Jonathan benefited from in the last election has left him as it is clear now that the northern governors are ready to depart from him should he not honour his gentleman's agreement of not running for a second term in office. What won the votes for Jonathan in 2011 was not a sudden likeness of a southerner by the Northerners but of the strong machinery that was installed by the northern governors to ensure that Jonathan is installed, who in turn would then hand over to them in 2015. I think Gbawe put it succinctly in another thread. The North now sees Jonathan as a treacherous bed fellow and the sooner they rid themselves of him, the better for them. What happened in 2011 was massive rigging for Jonathan in the North by the northern governors. Somehow, i'm not so convinced that he would enjoy such goodwill in 2015. At least I pray that he doesn't.

dannysoya: The state of Nigerian politics is hilariously sad. It is so hopeless that I can't do anything but laugh. Why exactly does the tribe of the eventual candidate matter? Are we not supposed to be operating a meritocracy in this country? The man to lead the APC should be man with the best plans for Nigeria REGARDLESS of his tribe. This is the NUMBER ONE reason why APC will fail. Too many conflicting interests. The alliance will eat itself from the inside. How many of these new alliances have we had and yet ALL have the same purpose, to go to Aso Rock, eat as much money as possible and get out before anyone is smart enough to notice. We CONSTANTLY continue to support men who do not give a damn about this country or its people but want to use you to get to the position of power and reveal their true colour and we call them "reformers". LOL reformers? you tell me what they want to do for this country that is markedly different from what is being done right now. 98% of the politicians in this country are the same and the 2% will never get elected because they rightfully refuse to stoop to the level of animals.
APC is yet to field a presidential candidate and here you are already crying blue murder.

You cry of meritocracy, yet you're not directing the daggers at the Ohaneze who are requesting that we go against that exactly and nominate a candidate purely on ethnic basis.

Are you dyslexic?

well, don't we all have derogatory names for each tribe in Nigeria? Abegi that one no be biggie ojare. All na stereotypes not necessarily founded on facts.
PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by kofoshi: 1:38am On Feb 11, 2013
rhymz: it is this same flawed political reasoning that got Buhari crying like a Biatch in 2013. If you understand the Igbo demography you would learn to write off any group or tribe with utmost caution.
o
No, no, I think you read me wrongly.

I didn't mean that the ibo vote is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but that it is so for APC because they believe that the Eastern region is a PDP strong hold. APC is not blind to the fact that ibos (as often touted on this forum as well) have more commonalities with ijaws and taking into account, similar reasoning from ibo posters on this thread alone, that they are giving their support to Jonathan because they know that he would hand over power to them after his tenure, APC knows that fighting tooth and nail for ibo votes is a lost course. I would conclude that APC's focus is to secure the SW, the core north and the north central. If those three regions can be put firmly in the bag, then they would have majority votes over the outside region of SS and SE who have a firm allegiance with Jonathan.

That is all i'm saying o.

COOLDUN: Don't the village fellow, even the first cup in 1980 majority are the Igbos. i can name many of them and let him name his tribesemn. They are the people that started this rubbish by saying that Keshi will loose with his Super Eagles of Biafra, i am not here to boast of the population of the teams members but to show them how hypocritical they are as a tribe. When something is going wrong they hide and look for who to blame , but it turns out good they will change. That is why Hausa people call them Berebes while Ivoriens call them Anangos, meaning people you can never trust, the unstable people. If this tournament turned out unsuccessful you would have heard so many trash and nasty bashing names on the players and their tribe today. But the God that shame the enemies have disgraced them that is why, Igbos are now for the soprts while they are for politics which no reasonable man from their tribe, have ever ruled the country before. in a team of 11 player in the field ,you have 8 or more players who are the majority? This people will never change.
...but wait o. Anango is not a derogatory term. It is actually the original name of the Yorubas.

Say me high to your miserable mama.....what a biatch!
Haba, let's keep it clean now.

The bottom line is that Ohaneze did not have to make that demand when the ibo votes is really inconsequential to APC, anyway.

The way I see it, even if APGA had co-signed, ibo votes would still have gone to jonathan in 2015. In effect, asking APGA or succumbing to Ohaneze's demand would be a futile effort in the long run.

I don't think that APC is really interested in the ibo votes as they see it as an impossible venture.

COOLDUN: Soviet Union won the first European Nations Cup in 1960 in Italy, and 1977 first Coca-Cola U-21 world cup in Tunisia, 1987 U-17 world cup in Canada, but did it stop them from peaceful separation in 1991? Before this Nation Cup which every Nigerian is happy with the success today, many Yorubas on this nairaland accused Stephen Keshi of going to RSA with only Igbo players, some called them many names including Super Eagles of Biafra, some called them Super Chickens of Biafra, but today they are being celebrated by the same hypocrites.

I don't care where the won victories will be, all what i am saying is that yorubas should watch their tongues when matters that concern the Igbos are raised up because they themselves have not arrived , they are not united too, and don't speak with one voice as they always claim. At least i watched what happened in 1983 elections in many parts of the yoruba states.

The yorubas lost so many lives due to the political violence in Ondo, Oyo and Ogun states, including the first treason felony in the Western Region in 1963 which caused the first state of emergency declared in Nigeria then. where is their togetherness/unity? the love? and respect?which they always claim. that you prostrate to your elder, but later hold him by waist does never show any sign of respect.

Many countries that are not up to a local government in Nigeria have won many sports laurels , it doesn't take to be billions in population to be world champion. If these people can win this AFCON other determined team can do it also.

You guy should remove the logs of woods in your eyes , before you talk of the dusts in other tribe's eyes. Your hatred to the Igbo can never stop their progresses. Take it or leave it. Today we are United by a victory achieved by almost a section of people, who were condemned before the competition. Hypocrites.
Haba! Why you come dey write bible for this mata again, na?

You say na Biafra win the cup and I agreed with you, which one come be dis epistle again? Abeg I no sabi book o.

All jokes apart, the victory belongs to your Biafran people and i'm sure that Nigeria is grateful that you are gracious enough to share it with us. It is a shame however that you can't take the trophy to your land of the rising sun for now so the trophy would stay in Hausa man's land at least for now. I am sorry that, that isn't any consolation to you but since you guys are still half hearted(or should I say quater hearted Nigerians), let's all pretend we are one and enjoy this cup together. rhymz: Wow, see young ignorant yoruba boys arrogating to themselves some superficial political savvy yet in most of the cases their tribe's persons have ruled Nigeria, it was always circumstantial and not planned.

Yorubas have saintly leaders that never fight eachother and always agree on every issue with needle-sharp unison yet the most notoriuos political turmoils between local political heavyweights this country have ever had to endure have always been in the West; "wild wild west" comes to mind.

Yoruba leaders are the smartest and know exactly what needs to be done to fix Nigeria yet Aremu Obasanjo in the whole of his eight years in leadership did nothing but accelerated our ignominous rupatation and profile of corruption-so much for smartness. Yoruba leaders and political pundits have a perfect grasp of the Nigerian polity and voting history of every tribe yet they could not predict the voting pattern or even successfully rally every Yoruba person in the SW region to vote for the most "loved and perfect" party, ACN in the whole of the SW except through questionable court pronouncements that gave victories to the better rogues. I dey laugh!
Like an Igbo brother had earlier opined; any victory that is predicated on excluding the active participation of ndi igbo is dead on arrival. It does not matter how many lies and propaganda the Lagos-Ibadan press gang peddles, it wont wash. The fact is, If any one of you ignorant MOFOs in the west (obviously from your lack of travelling outside Yoruba Land) think that Igbo leaders are dumb, yoruba leaders are even dumber, if you say they are selfish, yours are glutonious greedy fiends, if you think we are not organized or does not understand Naija's insincere politics then your leaders have been doing a good job selling phoney stories of political sagacity and magnanimity to you lots and nothing concrete or tangible enough to make you lots arrogate this false sense entitlement and ownership you all display when you talk ab
