PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by kofoshi: 10:59pm On Feb 10, 2013
dayokanu: If APC presents a Buhari Fashola ticket they would win all the 13 states Buhari won in 2011 plus 6 SW states thats 19 states already

They would get over 25% in Kwara, Kogi, Taraba, Nasarawa, FCT, Plateau, Benue and possibly Edo.

That makes over the necesary 24 states thy need over 25% of votes
Buhari/Fashola ticket?

Now, that would be a clincher! We won't even need one vote from the South East or the South South.

I really hope they come up with this joker.

P.S: what happens to Okorocha now that his party is against him?
PoliticsRe: APC Manifesto Is True Federalism by kofoshi: 5:35pm On Feb 10, 2013
Seems to me that ACN(Now APC) has changed its tune from true regional sovereignty to state sovereignty. I would rather a regional government than state federalism.

Same lo ba de.

I am not convinced.

Yeye people!

They are looking for reinforcement in Israel to assist them in seceding from Nigeria, so any co.ck and bull story will do.

PoliticsRe: *~ Katsumoto Voted The Politics Section Poster Of 2012 *~ Congratulations by kofoshi: 6:40pm On Dec 19, 2012
Katsumoto is the man.

A very knowledgeable man who always backs up his statements with veritable sources and hardly gets into mud slinging or engage in the use of gutter languages. He does not allow his opponents to deter him with infantile remarks and always keeps his eye on the ball; never losing sight of the objective or the subject of discourse.

He is very worthy of emulation.
PoliticsRe: NL Monthly Political Debate by kofoshi: 5:36pm On Dec 08, 2012
Negro_Ntns: lol...im beginning to think ndu_chucks and katsumoto are one and the same person. There is no one here on nl that stokes the ember and generate controversy more than these two. grin

ndu_chucks, my views are never popular but undoubtedly they resonate with truth. I sincerely believe that if we must sponsor a discussion to hear the grievance of a disenfranchised people we ought to hear the ogoni story and their demise, not ibo.

We have heard ndigbo voice and their vent and grievances numerous times. Very recently we heard it from their best and most revered literary giant and the message has not changed. What ndigbo need is healing, not more venting of anger and displeasure. How can they heal and what do they need to heal? It seems to be that those who have popular views such as yourself hold it to be true that an Ibo in Presidency of Nigeria will heal their injured spirit. I disagree.

....next time you address me and dont put Chief I will instigate your deportation from Lekki island. cheesy
That is an insult on the person of Katsumoto. angry

PoliticsRe: Election Of The Aare Ona Kakanfo Leader Of NL Yorubas Declared NULL & VOID by kofoshi: 2:07pm On Apr 11, 2012
PointB: After reading Gbawe's knows-it-all tirade, one can only laugh at his double talk!
On one hand, he claim we are all equal and no one's voice should be more important than the other; on the other hand he is asking Yorubas to 'stop this nonsense' implying that he knows better than the rest of his kinsmen who saw the merit in this process, and that his voice carries more importance. It's is refreshing to note that his 'authority' is being ignored by discerning folks.

@tenisuga, well done for saving the processing from ridicule by starting a new and much improved thread. I can assure you that the MODs meant every word they said when the offered you support. As you can observe, this thread is on the front page; it has a life now, and you MUST not fail your people. You must listen to constructive criticism but destructive ones; most importantly you must listen to your conscience and your heart!

As per nomination, well I don't think I am qualified to nominate, but if I do qualify, I'll like to nominate.

1. Jarus - He is well grounded, and capable. He is also very well 'positioned' for your people to leverage on. His Hausa 'leaning' might also be of strategic advantage.
2. Negro_nts - He has stated his desire to serve. He is quite 'troublesome' and very dogged in his fight for Yoruba interest. Though he may not readily admit it, he is a capable bridge builder.
You cannot brainwash us, we are smarter than you. Your opinion is shit!

The mere fact that omo ibo is endorsing this process while expressing his disregard to our amiable personality - Gbawe, has rendered my interest in this process null and void. You know that there is trouble when your foes start to praise you, something is definitely wrong there.

Yorubas, we have to do away. For the mere fact that the op is allowing nominations from the ibos makes this all a farce!

I wash my hands off this mess.

Gbawe: I generally always stay away from these sort of nonsense but I must step in here to prevent my name being dragged into this. Guys, I know some claim this is all a bit of fun, but let me kindly beg all Nairalanders to keep me out of this nonsense. It stands against what I believe in and what I think Nairaland should be.

I come here, as a Nigerian, to share and receive info. That is what most chat rooms were conceived to facilitate i.e the exchange of info. When we begin to elect so-called leaders , especially for ethnic groups, we inadvertently heighten division, suspicion and rancour. Add to that the fact we are eroding the essence of equal participation and, somewhat, freedom of speech with how we make a voices more authoritative and more important than others. Look at how the eze crap has gone to Onlytruths head. He now actually believes himself a leader because of some silly sectional and , no doubt, ethnocentric title on a Nigerian website !!!! The deluded chap actually sees himself a champion of Igbo cause against others in the 'warfare' zone of Nairaland !!! Someone should pour a bucket of cold water on him and tell him to get back to his job - if he has one.

If all of you do not know it, and even if you think this a joke, you are reacting to instinct of feudalism by wishing to have an ethnic overlord speak for you and herd you in a direction. What does any secure Nigerian need that for ? Can we all not just come here and talk? Is that not enough? Best poster is just about OK but I say no to an ethnic overlord. I would urge sensible Yoruba folks to stay away from this nonsense. Undoubtedly some will say it is tongue-in-cheek but we all know "many a true word are said in jest". Anyone comfortable with being a Nigerian , even in these days of ethnic unrest, and happy to use internet chat forums as intended will not be happy to come here and exalt any ethnic leader.

If you guys carry on with this nonsense, whoever emerges the whatever of Yorubaland does not speak for me or have any authority ahead of any other Yoruba person here. We are equal and should seek to keep it that way. We don't need any "tough Voltron" because we are not in battle with anyone. I would never have thought I would see a thread like this because I feel the Yorubas are a people who are very secure in themselves.
I hereby heartily nominate Gbawe!
PoliticsRe: Please Vote To Choose The Leaders Of Egbe Omo Odua On NL - Yorubas Only! by kofoshi: 9:06am On Apr 11, 2012
As for the leader, Gbawe or Katsumoto would be ideal.

Aare Ona kakanfo should either go to Bluetooth, Seanet or Dayokanu.

This thread should be kept alive to vote for our Asiwaju while the other by tenisuga should stay active for the Aare. We shouldn't make this thread redundant as the positions up for nominations are different. We have this to nominate our leader and the other to nominate our general.

Nominations are only accepted from Yorubas and Yoruba lovers alone.

OP, all nominations by ibo bigots should be disqualified with immediate alacrity!

Otherwise, I will only see this nomination process as shambles!
PoliticsRe: Election Of The Aare Ona Kakanfo Leader Of NL Yorubas Declared NULL & VOID by kofoshi: 8:41am On Apr 11, 2012
Eko Ile: I hope we are not misplacing our history and historical understanding. Aare-Ona kakanfo is a warrior, he's the generalissimo and many of the names listed are are yet to show their warrior attributes on NL. If you are not a fearless fighter and strong advocate by any means necessary on behalf of the Yoruba people, this position is not for you.

We have cultural and political leaders and many of the folks on the list sounds more like cultural and political people, they loath guns, skirmishes and hard core battles. Generals like Are fight wars, they are not politicians and diplomats.

If we can not follow our own historical path, we should leave this matter alone and let's not ridicule this wonderful Yoruba title.
In that case, Seanet (oko mi) or bluetooth.

Warped mentality! How can you live in such state of lawlessness and profess that you love it just the way it is? It isn't about a returnee "pontificating" as said but about justice and human rights. I guess some have lived in the jungle for far too long and have become apes themselves. Sad way of reasoning!

PoliticsRe: Constitution: Fg Set To Remove State Of Origin by kofoshi: 10:25am On Aug 09, 2011
The moral of this thread is that those who have an identity; who have strong cultural roots want to preserve it but those who can only trace their roots to the baboon, who has no trace (we Yorubas call them: "omo ti'oniran"wink will vote for this. Why? They have no home to be proud of. They are like leeches wanting to suck the blood of a healthy host.

Yorubas, we have to rise, this might seem minute to some, but it is a challenge to our culture; our way of life. Let's kick the Igbos out and start doing it now!

To that morasucker who called me a male, well, all I can say is that I'm more female than your mother will ever be. You cant fathom me because you are yet to see a woman is is so proud of her culture and he people that she is equally vocal about it.
