lovewins: Yea. I should also add that players being considered must be less than 23 years old the first game week of the season. It's why someone like Harry Kane doesn't qualify even though he's also new to the league.
They do this rookie of the month thing too in the NBA. Thanks, not less than 23 years, meaning Kelechi Nwakali is not a rookie in Portuguese league….I had this discussion with Meliforme who called Nwakali a rookie. |

komekn: This is the Nigerian problem, you must support somebody based on favouritism, nepotism and tribalism.
This is the reason we have a certificate forgerer, ID Thief, Convicted Drug dealing money launderer, ,etc as a President.
According to you Salah is not exceptional.
Wow your so blinded with bias. Oga Kokmne, you are supporting Amuneke for expressing his mind but attacking Nigerians that voted for their choice candidates for observing their civic rights. Pls what thieving politicians got to do with Osimhen and Salah CAF APOTY. Yes Nigerians are disappointed with Amuneke cuz he gave Osimhen his first breakthrough so they are not expecting anything less. Really I wasn’t disappointed cuz Amuneke is human and has every right to pick his choice,so nothing new but Nigerians will not forgive him easily. |

lovewins: It's a monthly award for rookies; meaning those having their first stint in the league. The rookie of the year obviously can only be won once, but the monthly rookie award can be won multiple times. Oh you made it clearer even to me now cuz I had this discussion with Meliforme regarding calling a player a rookie….. |

Will Kelechi Iheanacho get to this stage ? In my opinion Kelechi has the quality too
Please don’t attack me Na my opinion Winning APOTY is easy for talented footballer cuz I have seen not too fantastically footballers that have won it…..to win it believes in your talent not money,Okocha went for money and Ikpeba followed his career strictly and won it. If Osimhen chooses a wrong club he would not even be nominated talk less of winning it,going to Napoli did it and he should be careful in his next step before leaving Napoli. |

isan: I'm telling the quality of players they can possess on the pitch and on the bench , and yes they will do the same thing in the NPFL Pls compare Rivers United position in NPFL and Mamelodi Sundowns in PSL. Rivers United is having 4 matches to play but in relegation zone and Sundowns 4 matches to play and leading the table. Mamelodi Sundowns will never lead NPFL table still having 4 matches to play.

do4luv14: Yes he still will, and yet can't commend a starter Shirt in a lowly league, And when he fumbled again, we start crying and calling for his head,
let Okoye be tested the number of times same as Uzoho, or better still let him keep for all the matches we are going to play at the IV tournament in Dubai,
Then we can see and assess him too,, I thought Maduka was on personal leave from national team after Tunisia match |

just 2 flop from Maduka, we don begin crucify Am
But no6 dey flop on constant basic, yet we still dey mention am for conversation,
It is well Hmmm,Maduka going to Udinese didn’t helped him after Watford.I was expecting him to move back to Dutch league being a national team keeper.Imagine having just 3 appearances since last year not good for him. Yes Uzoho always available despite fumbling and wobbling and still number one as at last match so whether we like it or not he will still be in our conversations. I just hope we get things done before Afcon. |

comodo: I don't think that anyone is saying that he shouldn't be called up. Rather others who are killing it in NPFL should also be given the same platform to vie for that position. Then the best should be picked. Rather the coaching crew keeps shutting others out from even showcasing their talent. Thank you, level playing ground for our keepers cuz nothing special about what we have abroad…..I knew Stanley Nwabili right from Enyimba to Lobi Star and I want say a good ball playing keeper.I watched him yesterday live and was not really tested throughout but he was calmed and well composed, his ball distribution with legs and hands top notch but am still saying we have Osayi Kingdom and Christian Nwoke who I see as new Enyeama if given the chances. |

humility33: Can't the NPFL partner with nigeria military. The military using some youth corpers can maintain security in the stadia during matches and also be the referees.
The military or police can serve that role I remember then in Ilorin stadium we have group of Airfore and police officers during matches but guessed what they are more of supporters than security officers. 1997 NPFL league match Kwara utd vs Lobi star was abandoned and fans dealt with referee Dogo Yabilsu, the policemen on duty don’t really care.Kwara utd a league leader was banished to Calabar and lost all its matches with the aid of referee, relegated to division two. What we are having now is relatively good and peaceful atmosphere cuz if a club messes anyhow heavy fines would be imposed. |

Kevin Prince Boateng said it’s harder to get goals in serie A than la Liga because of their style of play KPB played in both leagues Chuckwueze issue is consistency not about goal scoring.I watched his game against Frosinone and a bit against Atalanta. He need to do more. |

Amedino99: back then the league was strong but I believe that currently, if you transfer mamelodi sundowns to the npfl, they will repeat this feat. We have always been complaining about the quality of the league. Apart from sunshine stars that reached the semi finals of the champions league many years ago, when last has a Nigerian club performed even moderately in the continent. We struggle to qualify for the CAF champions league group stage and even if we qualify we rarely make it to the quarter final stage. The quality of football in the npfl is too low that the only way mamelodi sundowns won't be able to recreate something like this is bad officiating. The officiating in present day NFF has improved and with results have seen so far in SA league showed not much difference cuz they too rely on home games. Yes you are right the quality then was a bit high than what we have now but notwithstanding I don’t see Mamelodi achieving such results here with 4 games to play. |

Amedino99: the table may seem ridiculous but they can replicate the same in the npfl. They are very good. they recently won the African football league beating wydad fc back in November Enyimba of old was better than today Manelodi Sundowns, winning CAF champions league back to back didn’t have such record. Leading the table with 5 point separating Sundowns from second place and still have 4 outstanding matches to play….it can’t happen in NPFL |
