Show us evidence.
Mostob baba, pls make we just rest the mata, knowing or meeting these players is easy depending on individuals.

I have very close friend known as Saka in Ilorin sports circle who Jayjay Okocha do visit in Ilorin without people knowing except few friends like us.

I met Mutiu Adepoju as super eagles player in a friend house unknowingly in Ilorin some years ago and I was like what!he is a family friend to popular Olarewaju family in Ilorin and I got racing Santander jersey with his name on it cuz he was surprised how I know much about eagles…when he later came to Ilorin as KFA director he was like K’ you handled Westerhoff utilities and I said yes,pls continue with me.

I can mention ex internationals who are friends and if I tell you how me and Arsenal Saka be cuz of his parents, not to talk of Awoniyi….so guys here sabi these players personally.

Kokmne lives in UK,so as a passionate fans yes easy for him to relate with innit boys and our locals ones in English leagues.

Let just believe whatever anyone says here so that we can relate well…I remember two monikers here that met through this thread in United States.

Kog45 can easily verify the authenticity of this information grin
Taiwo Awoniyi is down to earth boy just like Osimhen, not a big deal if kokmne know him wella cuz he is accessible and easy to relate with due to his background.

During vacation we met in his parents new house in Tanke area Ilorin which is not far from where i built my house and see how old friends Dey enter Dey go….fact the boy Dey enter local buka go eat and a must for him to visit his childhood area in Agbo Oba daily cuz na there he Dey feel at home not even GRA in Tanke.

So knowing Awoniyi not a big deal,in fact he will like to relate with kokmne being a Nigerian and learn more about UK from Egbon kokmne.

Avoid the plain truth and in the absence of anything else to say appeal to yourt 🌑 deep bitterness, prejudices. You sound like a recycled Nigerian politician with nothing else to offer but creatr Division with TRIBALISM you must be in APC.

By the way Awoniyi I know and even encouraged, l guess he played for England U17.

Oga kokmne you be Elder here o,pls always strict to football and forget these thieving APC,PDP and LP cuz last election was pure tribal and all parties are involved…imagine Tinubu got 75% from his region,Obi got 90% from his region and Atiku got 65% from his side, even Kwakwaso got 70% from his state.

Nigeria politics is a politics of division, hatred and manipulations and is for people who believed so much in cheating and only way out is me and you, nobody else.

Imagine people are still voting for two cancerous parties(APC and PDP)despite the suffering.

I hope you notice that in the transfer, the five percent is not for Emmanuel Amunike but for the coaching crew for their work put in to make Kelechi Nwakali a success.

It was not a shady or under the carpet deal. This was after the competition.
Are you saying coaches are allowed to get their cut from player transfer?

Arsenal play a lot of interchanging movement very technical and unpredictable as a result Goals come from everyone.

VO is a quintessential top 🔝 level number 9, he is not a winger or anything else just a pure striker. He needs to be at the front end in a pyramid structure.

Don't think Arsenal is the best team for him.

Chelsea or PSG but I want him in EPL.

Don't know why this is controversial. Anyone who's followed Victor knows that isn't his strong suit. Doesn't take away from the great player that he is.
Thank you…Victor is a fearless player but on penalty VO weak o but he needs to work on it as a striker to add to his goals.

The point is you people don't get it.

Nwakali is NOT SE standard.
He has NOTHING to offer.

And just so you know, I don't rate Iheanacho anymore as an SE Player.

This act of always seeking to go back to your familiar or comfortable ex is why we have guys who act like sissy and become weaklings.

Leave Nwakali alone and find a better alternative that will make us compete amongst the greats of this world.

One of the reason we lost to CIV is cuz of poor midfield. Look at the names on their midfield and add Nwakali to ours and see if they won't bully him like a sh!t of paper.

Abeg make una wake up bro.

I don't like mediocrity at all. It irritates me.
I love boldness and bold decisions.

I love risks. And Nwakali is not a risk, he's a comfort zone. We need to take a bold risk with a new-never-tried-before midfield beast.

We can find one, sooner or later.

Let Nwakali lay low and face his club.
SE is not for him anymore.

I'm not his God to decide, yes. I know. I'm not the coach ether, yes, I know. But I know one thing. We don't need a weakling, we need a fighter, an attacking beast of a midfielder like Osimhen — in that midfield.

Peace.
Hmmm, pls if someone wrote this on Stanley Nwabali before Afcon would you have agreed with him.

Sure, something is missing in that midfield and must be fixed.

The call for Kelechi Nwakali by some on this thread is purely from a tactical standpoint.

He is the best in short and long distributive passing play. He can be an asset to the team.

The talk of:

Why did a big club not notice him?
His club is going to get relegated.
He is not earning big money.
He is in a small club.
And banters

Are not tactical contributions and add nothing to the debate. The point is simple. A player to improve our ball distribution through passes. The best who can do that should be in our squad.

Finito.
I agreed with you with wildcard invitation which must be extended to players like Daga,Akinsanmiro and Eletu since they all have the skill set but are we saying no Nigerian does this apart from Nwakali cuz we need at least two to three players who can do this to bring real balance to the team.

He should rather go to championship. Saudi is a no no if he wants to stamp his SE place and keep improving.
Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United and the one we saw in recent Afcon is far ahead of Okoye of Udinese who can be rated as the best Nigeria keeper in term of quality league.

Nwabali should relax first cuz am seeing French league club coming for him….QPR not ideal and if one go by Saudi money, yes cool but playing in Europe division one would be better.

Nothing like selective amnesia, I av said I do not hate jpagero or any foreign coach (because they do better with SE) but jpagero' rigidity caused us d final cause his dynamism is limited to one way traffic.

CM was dynamic in 1994, Keshi too was dynamic in 2013, but Jpagero should av done better with a little bit of tweaking especially d final.

Meanwhile, I must give it to jpes, the backline is very discipline and like somebody said; stingy defence
Oga just forget it,person used players like say he had shortage of squad to the extent players were ruled out of the season.

Pls go and watch eagles Afcon matches again and you will know that you are on point but to some you are talking nonsense.

Yes what a good tournament, reaching a final kudos must be given to him but his tactics ha can messed player up.

How I wish he continues with eagles and gives more opportunities to midfielders to bring fluidity to his tactics.

Iwobi isn't a central midfielder na. I have stated that he's more of a forward. But then again, when Aribo who's a central midfielder was asked to be brought into the central midfield so that Iwobi could move to the attack, there were even more tears.

I learned that Nigeria would be playing against Argentina. Would the midfield be able to handle Argentina's, considering the midfield couldn't handle Cote D'Ivoire? Lol.

Personally, I would go with a 3-man midfield of Tijani, Nwakali and Aribo to see how they would look. Aribo has dominated some good opposition midfield which includes Brazil, so he's got it in his arsenal to do it. Of course Aribo would have to do more to progress the play by constantly passing forward between the lines and switching play to the wings when needed, as well as picking out the runs of the forwards when needed because who's to progress the play if not the midfielders? However, he's got the basic as a complete 8 considering his technique, agility and he's energetic, defensively sound, good ball carrier when needed, offensive and also contributes in the playmaking aspect with his awareness.

Aside the playmaker aspect, another problem that needed to be solved is the holding midfield. I don't know if Samson Tijani would solve it if introduced into the midfield. I haven't seen much of him but I like the fact he's defensively sound and a good passer. He's a smooth tackler for example, good awareness and can read the game the well, added with his technique and passing skill. He actually started as a central back before he got moved to the central midfield as a holding midfielder because of his agility, technique and passing skill. He looked good as a holding midfielder against Inter for example, who are a decent team at least.

As for the 10 role, Nwakali could play the 10 role. I haven't seen much of him just like Tijani but he looks like a good passer. He's not as mobile nor defensively sound but a good passer.

I think the team should be building towards the world cup. So I would go with this.

Nwabali.

Aina - Semi - Ekong -Bassey;

Aribo -Tijani - Nwakali;

Simon/Iwobi - Osimhen - Lookman.

I dunno if Solanke can be lured like Lookman. He's been having a good season. Although Nigeria team has got lot of strikers behind Osimhen such as Boniface, Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Sadiq, Moffi etc. Another is Olise. I don't know if he's been capped tho. There's also the speedy left foot amoo. I don't know if he's been capped. Nigeria has lots of attackers. Problem is the midfield. Lol.
This issue of midfield is simple to solve.Remember our goalkeeping issue was like a difficult one but was solved in a week…..if I have my way I will invite Nwakali,Dele Bashiru,Daga,Akinsanmiro and Eletu and let’s see maybe we will not have a balance team.

You guys should relax. Eguavon isn't managing the Super Eagles for the world cup qualifiers. He's more like a stand-in till the position is filled which I believe will be soon.
Some don’t understand how NFF operates. When eagles coaching position is vacant the technical director takes over pending employment of a new coach.

I watched Chavez vs Arouca which ended 5-1 in favour of Arouca and those goals were scored within the space of 58 minutes,Nwakali got subbed out in 60 minutes and I came to realize that eagles would need more than Nwakali to bring stability to our midfield…I trust local coaches, time to see Daga,Akinsanmiro,Eletu,Bashiru and Nwakali in the folds. These guys just need wildcards invitations and hope to see them doing what Nwabali did to our goalkeeping dept.

If midfield issue is not solve we are not going to WC.

You just like typing my name.

I have never changed my stance. I love the offensive-possessive game to a fault. I believe in it and believe in a long-term strategy. I do not like short wins but like long-term dominance. So, even if we went on to win the AFCON, I won't be impressed because I don't believe it is a long-term approach for dominance. More like luck to win.

I did not talk much because I did not want to spoil the spirit and joy going on. People get happy when they win. I get happy when we play in an offensive style. Win or lose is not my priority but seeing the team grow in play.

Most importantly, it gets the best from the players in the long run.

Finito.
Win or lose should be your priority in senior team football though seeing a team play in a very organized way gives joy …sincerely am not impressed with our styles during Afcon and only impressed with Cameroon match. The team need to do more in the midfield.
