Larry Izamoje (long before Brilafm) and Bimbo Akintola had a lot do with those late 80s and 90s sobriquet! They took over from Ernest, I believe!
Larry came in the 90s through his powerful morning sports Radio program but we have good commentators like Yinka Craig,Fabio Olanipekun,Hameed Adio,Modele Sharafa Yusuf,Mitchele Obi who did well giving these guys names in the 90s but no one near Ernest Okonkwo who even gave some players nicknames watching NPFL,just check those nicknames you see real intellect in Ernest Okonkwo

Yes Ernest Okonkwo who passed on around the late 80s nicknamed the 80s players. He wasn't responsible for nicknames of the the players of the 90s and 2000s.
Yes agreed but according to the list you posted he gave out 87% of those nicknames. Some names in the 90s were not well known to fans except JayJay,Papilo,Aghawonder and Prince of Monaco…I can tell you that average football fans don’t know Taribo,John Utaka and Amunike nicknames,so I gave it to Ernest Okonkwo……the post was made on FB to celebrate legendary Ernest Okonkwo who dead in 1990 after Algier 90

This is unfortunate but you have to learn to love with it so instead of you trying to come clean, you should focus on your new life while you monitor all Psquare royalties. Do not bear my grudges against any family member just distance yourself but keep your door open. Such is life

I was chilling with some guys who happened to be a chelsea fan. Funny enough, he laid the first blame on tikitaka. He believed from the beginning of this passing from back football, chelsea have not been Chelsea again.

According to the guy, he believes Chelsea won all their cups with complete gidigbo football and not some serenre passing. He mentioned drogba/Costa leading the line and he strongly believes osimhen will thrive.

The guy is talking 19kpondo football. He should tell us the team today dominating trophies with gidigbo football. 🤣🤣🤣

Football has changed and learning how to dominate play with good possession is what brings long term success.
Did you see anyone talking about gidigbo football but talking about poor Chelsea management who are not ambitious like old Chelsea.

When I said old Chelsea I meant Chelsea that competed for EPL,FA,Champions league every year not this Chelsea, unless something changed this coming season I don’t want Osimhen in Chelsea based on what I saw last season.

Do you see anyone disputing your long term project but issue here you believe so much that long term project can only be successful with possessive football?

Let's hit each state Governors with protest and send those who are under performing out by all means
End to bad governance should start from states. The governors are too comfortable with people’s rights and wealths, reason why someone like Yahaya Bello has the guts to pay $841,000 for his children school fees and some people are still supporting him,in fact youths for that matter.

Erm, Oh I forgot Ogun state don't have a functional airport

Wait till 2027 and let us correct whatever that’s happening now, giving credible candidates our votes.

Lagos and Ogun are damn too closely, pls tell me reason why is a must for Ogun State to have airport when Ibadan and Ilorin airports are available even in case of emergency.

Hope you know why most airports are useless in this country cus there are no reasons for it but built to score cheap political points, economically speaking it’s dead on arrival.

The only reform we need is government diversity from sports. I can't think of any government agency managed by civil servants in the country that is working effectively, sports won't be any different.

The only chance we have at success is for government to get out of the way and allow private money into sports. The EPL is privately run, the NBA is privately run, the NCAA which is schools sports in America is privately run. That's the way forward for sports in Nigeria.

No private individual will invest 12 Billion naira in a venture without an plans and expectations for returns. Methinks government monies are better invested in more important concerns to the Nigerian populace like health and education and if sports to infrastructural developments. Private money in football are moving into football academies and not the NPFL because many are discovering the academy to Europe pipeline and taking advantage of it.
Oga pls don’t say am sounding stupid but do you want to hear fact….parents are failing the nation, imagine sending your children to schools with no sport facilities, funny no football field to play popular sport.I have a friend who withdrew his talented son from private school to public school just cus of football field and this caused rift between him and his wife but good the boy was part of Beyond Limit boys that participated in Gothia cup.

Most kids now want to make money quickly and our entertainment industry is killing a lot of talents, trying to emulate fake life of our celebrities ….na yahoo yahoo dem dey pursue, wants to spend money like Obi Cubanas…..go to universities,NUGA game is gone cuz you see 14 and 15 years old in the universities and funny they added to their ages to meet universities age requirements.

Yes we blame government for many things but as individuals are we doing the needful

Emma Olisadebe,Seyi Olofinjana and former Nigeria Olympic Silver Medalist Bisi Afolabi are my paddies and I can testify that they made it cuz they are mature enough when they are in the university.

He recently met with Elumelu too and trying to get billionaires in Nigeria to buy NPFL teams so the league goes totally private.
The Elumelus,Otedolas and Dangotes will never invest in NPFL cuz they are always after quick and big profits…..we just need more of Kunle Soname who understands the game very well cuz football business is not about winning alone.Just check out how Beyond Limits is cashing out

There's been no chaos. Almost every sporting federation was fighting during Dalong and Sunday dares tenure.

He's been the most responsive minister and this didn't start with the Olympics.

He priorities athletes welfare. He engages them in a one to one basis.

Not sure if he will succeed, but he's pushing for reforms in the NFF particularly to expand Congress so voting for the NFF chairman isn't left to the politicians at the state FA.

He's also not limited himself to football like almost every other minister does.

Again, not saying he's the best since sliced bread, but a total departure from what we used to have.
It seems you are following the present minister bumper to bumper than many of us….good to hear he is trying to expand NFF congress to pave for credible candidates.

An advice,he need more publicity on his activities
