Yes Charles,Keshi was banned by Tony Ikhazobo for coming late to camp after played WAFU match for New Nigeria Bank.This made Keshi to leave Nigeria for Ivory Coast and signed for stade,from stade he moved to Lokeren then later to Anderlecht......due to our failure to make it to 86 Afcon, lost to Zambia in qualifier under Chris Udemezue...NFA contracted Manfred Hoener a German who took over from Paul Halmiton who guided under 21 to bronze medal in Moscow 85,fact Keshi came back into the team in 1987 to Maroc 88 and Seoul Olympics qualifiers with Paul Wonder boy Halmiton as the coach,Andrew Uwe was the captain and Keshi played in the team not minding Uwe captain band,some of the matches were played in Ibadan and Enugu......

Manfred Hoener was new to the team and was surprised how influential Keshi was,well respected by players and NFA board members,even sport ministry.During Maroc 88 Keshi played two matches and all against Cameroon cuz Anderlecht refused to release him entirely for the tournament.Hoener wasn't happy about this,after the tournament he made it cleared that if Keshi didn't secured his release for Olympics he would not be picked,Keshi frowned at it cuz he sacrificed himself to be available for the two matches during Maroc 88...the frosty relationship started and come a young man Chidi Nwanu of ACB fc of Lagos who Hoener believed he can do the job,in fact Hoener made it cleared in national dailies precisely Concord newspaper that Nwanu was better than Keshi....Keshi didn't bothered about Olympics participation cuz of that statement,also FIFA rules was cleared that top league players would not be accepted to participate,later it ruled that top players with World Cup experiences from Europe and South America are not permitted.

Manfred Hoener started it all not Keshi and Nwanu,after poor Olympics performance Hoener was sacked .....Paul Halmiton took over,recalled Keshi,and made him the captain,the team set rolling, losing to Cameroon in Yaounde for 1990 WC two slots....During this period Nwanu was struggling club wise.He went to Westerlo from there to division three club side,so he was not even in the picture and fact Keshi was in his best form from 1988 to 1993 before he had ACL injury... Westerhoff built his team around Keshi cuz he learnt from Hoener mistakes.....The injury to Keshi paved way for Nwanu who moved to Beveren then Anderlecht to be included cuz it was discovered that Uche Okafor cannot do it,so Westerhoff realized that he needed to call Nwanu and Emenalo to beef up his team,dropped Semitoje and Ugbade.....Nwanu thought it was Keshi denying him,even Ugbade told who care to listen that Keshi influenced Emenalo call up.

Many accused Keshi of many things just cuz he was influential to the extent that Keshi sacked Alex Akinyele as sport minister through Augustus Aikhomu.Alex Akinyele went on air live on TV after Nigeria played draw with Algeria and made it to first ever World Cup but Sport minister went live TV criticizing the team,that week he was sacked.

I can say much on what transpired between Keshi,Nwanu,Hoener and Westerhoff from 1988 to 1994,so the documentary didn't nailed it.

I don't really understand how you guys reason in that country. How many times have we seen Victor osimhen in the club in Lagos having a good time. Maduka Okoye was not dancing or messing around with strippers. He was in a party with a female friend. I just don't see anything wrong with it. If Maduka Okoye was seen drunk then you will have a case against him but simply having a good time in the club with a female friend is not a crime or an issue to any reasonable person. He was not on the clock last weekend. He was off the clock as a professional having a good time before reporting to camp for a serious business. Camp is open and he is now on the clock. Maduka Okoye is a professional. Looking at his physique tell you that he takes his craft seriously. If you guys were actually talking about Victor Boniface I would have aligned with guys knowing how overweight and unfit he always look as a professional footballer.
