If those lecturers were guilty of the charges levelled against them, why on earth should Musa call them back. Though, he had reduced ASUU demand by his action, but I feel he is to soft-hearted. People who deserve punishment should be punished period!

There is no time to do anybody's will that will not benefit Nigerians. nigeria has no time to waste. Even OBJ knew that once Yar becomes president, he will not listen to anyone including OBJ himself. That is why he put him there. So the story of first cabinet does not hold.

Thank God we Nigerians are still alive and are beginning to learn how to actively take part in running the government. Any of our Senators or Representatives that approves some "chop and clean mouth" Minister will be recalled.
You mis-understood me, I never meant Obj directly but the will of PDP as a party. He has to pay those who aided his campaigns all over the country at least for a year.

You are talking about "recall"? LOL. Do you know Athur Nzeribe was recalled during the last senate? But he stayed till the end.

Thank you jare! But I must warn you before hand, his first cabinet will not fit into your picture of an ideal cabinet (He will do Ahmodu's and Baba's will first), but I feel he will make proper amendments as time time goes on. Trust me

Why not wait till then. You are being unfair to this man. To me Musa is the best thing that have happened to Nigeria since independent. Take it or leave it!

hey guys,
i read all your contributions, they are all nice once.

but i think the best way to start this is from nairaland forum.

we organise some thing like virtual election were we select all our officials here on nairaland.

i believe by this we can start some thing. even organising some online meetings b/4 we can start thinking of how to meet phisically. so how do see it. you know that a journey of a of thousand miles start with one step.

think about it.
@ nurexg

I will like to second this. But now that ASUU have called off their strike, I will be leaving for school and won't be able to partake actively. But I still believe that the only way to go about this is to join existing political parties for now before the "rebellion". I agree with whatever you guys decide and will be checking once in a while for updates.

you are on your own. There will be no segregation, racism or majority and minority groups in the Union of the Nations of Africa.
Am not talking racism nor segregation her, I am only saying the fact. Do you know what it means to go to the whiteman's land and be treated like and AIDS patient? A Nigerian was tied, blindfolded and beaten to death in spain recently, are you aware? I mean we should pay them back in their own coin

it is not for us to decide. As many as heeded the call, as the Lord God said:

"I will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places which you have been banished and will bring you back to the place from which you were carried into exile."
Then they will remain as irrelevant minorities.

A true African is a BLACKMAN. Do you think it will be proper for us to allow those oyimbos in northern Africa and SA join this our GREAT COUNTRY IN THE MAKING? Me, I feel we should leave them behind o. That means Gadddafi is out of it. What do you think?

@denex,
Haven't we witnessed this before? Are you aware that Liberia was founded by a group of free born blacks and freed slaves who left the United States of America in their effort to "come back home"? What is the end result? The generations after them are probably cursing their ancestors for making such a move as they are looking for every means to get back to the United States.

You have the right to dream on, but Africa will never and can never become a single economy or nation as you so desire. Go check it out, the Arab countries such as Egypt feel more allegiance to the Arab League than they ever will be to Africa! MASSOB is still trying hard to secede from Nigeria! There's more likelyhood that Africa will rather disintegrate further than coming together!
Be optimistic for once!

Eyaah! If you ask for my candid thought, I would say you don't have to destroy what you guys have built for 5yrs (is not going to be easy for you at all). I suggest that the two of you meet with an older and experienced person/couple or your best friends and explain everything to the person (people). Take their advice, then talk it over with each other. It will work this time. Good luck guy!

Senator Ikechukwu Obiora (PDP, Anambra South) even while expressing his appreciation of the president’s action said public declaration of assets was not his major problem. According to him, he was more worried by the continued detention of Chief Ralph Uwazuruike and other leaders of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) who he said were now critically ill.

Senators divided over Yar’Adua’s assets declaration.

Politics › Re: To All Nigerian Youths by kokoA(m): 2:07am On Jul 01, 2007
Very simple. Bring like minds together and brain storm for one week, there definitely will be a way. Compile the list of Obasanjo's achievements in the military and as president in a book and title it "BABA: THE FATHER OF MODERN NIGERIA" Then head to Abuja (after all the runs here and there), call for launching of the book and association. Thats all. The rest things go fall in place.

shey you know according to George Bush, failure is success that is yet to happen.

By the way people keep condemning Africa. I wonder why it's not on CNN or BBC that Equatorial Guinea is now the 2nd richest country per capita with $50,000. Or is it because it is an African country?

Africa is coming together and we're moving ahead and there's nothing the Babylonians or those that are agents of Babylon can do about it.
The biased network will only tell you how inflation rate is rising in zimbabwe and how SA youths are killing themselves in the railways. I tell you, for the next two or three days to come now, they will be giving one million reasons why a united Africa will not work.

Why not convert his figure to dollars and tell me how "rich" he really is. He is a buiseness man now you know abi? Ok IBB's name can not be traced to any buiseness yet he is far richer than musa. Why not ask him where he go his money from. Peter Odili, was a governor like him and have multibillion naira account, ask him where he got his money from. Andy Uba was only an adviser to Baba, yet he is worth 1 trillion naira, ask him where he got his money from? Is it a crime for your president to be rich?

Why don't we all wait till AU can carry its own weight in peace keeping, giving aid to other african nations in terms of drugs and food, before we start thinking of a United States of Africa. But with this all been said there is no harm in making a representation of the vision on paper. Afterall the EU was born long ago even before it was achievable.
true talk. That means we are all united in thoughts.
