noetic:
I don't think we should be moved by the euphoria of the moment. because the truth is we are not fighting corruption.

alam got a plead bargain, ribadu got his ass kicked for daring to arrest ibori. under the excuse of rule of law, odili, kalu &co are almost getting away with madness.
with all these I dare say that igbenedions "wanted" declaration is only an unfolding drama.

enjoy it
huh
noetic, atleast alams was shamed and he definately returned some of the loots. That alone is enough for me.

Big B1:
FYI:
If a black man has a chance atall to be United States president, my friend, this is the time.
At this point, Americans don't give a damn about who is running; they are desperate, they are losing their houses, food price is sky high, gas price is very painful, heating oil price is deadly and unemployment rate continues to increase.

If your strategy is attractive and feasible, they will buy what you're cooking.
It will be a miracle, but I think Obama has a decent chance.
@Big B1

How you take sabi all these things? Ajegunle don turn U.S.A? lol. Anyway I completely agree with you.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Obama For President? by kokoA(m): 11:03pm On Jan 08, 2008
Obama is a good candidate. That does'nt give him automatic victory though. Well, I really do not care who wins or not, I am more bodered about my own country Nigeria now.
Politics › EFCC Declares Igbinedion Wanted! by kokoA(op): 10:56pm On Jan 08, 2008
I heard this on channels television 10pm news today. Can we now say the war on corruption is moving forward with or without Ribadu?

My brother, I won't waste my time again: I have reached the conclusion
that the entity called Nigeria is a lost cause. Their likes will caught up
in the crossfire they are encouraging. You know the last plane crash
in Nigeria took some heavyweights along, who would have thought?

How can the hens be safe when people like Atiku are appointed as
the keeper of the hen houses.
I don't blame you. Why won't you call Nigeria "a lost cause". You dey u.s.a na, But remember this id the only country you have got weather you like it or not. Things will definately change and I can assure you that people like you will start begging to coe back.

You should try:Nigeria as a country is surrounded by bunch of dishonest alarmist citizens.
Yes, Yar'adua is the president, but it is still up to you and I to make things happen in this country.
Instead of singing old songs, we should all look at each other and ask ourselves that "what can we do to rebuild this country"

We need to stop sounding like bunch of beggars and do something positive toward elevating our nation from the dust.
tell them my brother!
Politics › Re: Ribadu Is No Longer Welcomed In Aso Rock (confirmed)! by kokoA(m): 8:59pm On Jan 04, 2008
No point fighting brothers. Writing on nairaland alone is enough to prove that we all have love for our country and wish to see it grow, but our approachs may defer.

It's high time we forgot this Ribadu issue and face the true picture. What we should be doing now as Nigerians is to call for the appointment of another credible Nigerian to take over fom Ribadu. For me I will suggest Maj. Gen. Buhari, the former head of state ( this is another way of making him withdraw his petition against our president).  What do you guys think?

BigB is so excited that this man is out because his father IBB and their cohorts can now continue milking Nigeria dry

may the Almighty and Posterity judge you and your ilk harshly.
Is it only Ribadu that can fight corruption to a stand still in Nigeria? There are many better Ribadus if you care to know. I mean, what is so special about the police officer proceeding on a course as stipulated by the service he earns his living from?

A caring man? Its ehhnnn, ME! grin grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Ribadu Is No Longer Welcomed In Aso Rock (confirmed)! by kokoA(m): 8:09pm On Jan 04, 2008
who cares if ribadu visits aso rock or not. if ribadu as a police officer and is been asked to proceed on a course by his boss, any country abiding by the "RULE OF LAW" will welcome such development, as it will only boost the "super cop's" cv and understanding of police work. But in Nigeria, we suspect everything, haba!

Let us not be fooled by our so called lawyers who are only bordered about their pockets. Ribadu's presence at the efcc have really given nigerian lawyers jobs, so they are scared that his removal will affect their incomes, see your nieria?

i don't care who is removing who or who is not removing who, all i can say is that any prosecution at all (if na obj side oo or na yar'adua side o) is welcomed as long as these folks are corrupt. who cares.

I can't believe that people like you still exist in this country. What do you mean by saying nothing will hapen to iyabo? Nigeria is working now and nobody is above the law, so am sorry to disapoint you, if iyabo is found guilty she will definately be prosecuted. The earlier you start believing in my Nigeria, the better for you!

1. Transform the educational sector (with special focus on tertiary education)

2. Find and implement a final solution to the Niger delta problem.

3. Completely eradicate corruption of any form. (Probe all former leaders)

I will support Common Currency for West African countries; only if Nigerians are guaranteed that the same things that happened to Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia and Finland when they adopted Euro will happen to us.
@Femtex

What happened to those countries? Let us know so we could trash the issue out right here.
Politics › Re: Uniilorin Lecturers Recalled! by kokoA(m): 8:24am On Jul 03, 2007
boladez:
The lecturers were sacked because they refused to sign and return to work during a strike in a desperate bid by the then despot and autocratic VC Shuaib Oba.

The then Inexperienced and delinquent VC was imported from Kano and unleashed on the peaceful Unilorin community , he established tribalism, nepotism , eyeservice and wickedness just like his God father OBJ in the university. His only threat was ASUU and the only way he could break the Unions was by hitting hard on the strong members. Unfortunately , the system allowed him to do this and get away with it. The VC who organised his cult boys to disrupt exams claimed this was done by the lecturers.

How sad and unfortunate a citadel of learning has been transformed into a common motor park!!!!
I don't know what to believe again. We were meant to understand that the lectures disrupt exams and unleashed terror on students. Well, whatever sha, those lecturers must be very stubborn people because one of them is now in my school and students are not finding it funny with him at all.

Na so my brother. The government should have redeployed them to different universities.
