Abi, it’s an airport for God sake, there are immigration officers you could report her to, and they wouldn’t allow her to leave the airport. Instead, you’re just standing there blocking her path. We don't just have vacation as part of our culture. A very poor or middle class oyinbo will have a special savings for vacation. Once you get to that stage where you don't find anything interesting anymore. what you need is vacation.

You need to find something that makes you happy, Nigeria is very big... you don't need visa to visit Abuja or Warri, 36 states with different vibes. My next trip will be bonny camp , i've head alot about them and the constant electricity couple with night life

So this man collected my number first week of August. I was hesistant to give it to him. But he talked to me in a way that I liked so I gave him. He took me back to work and promised to message me. What you just described almost took me out of business back in 2018. I saw a gap in the Nigerian market for touchscreen monitors, which is an essential tools for many Point of Sale systems so I seized the opportunity. I teamed up with someone in China, joined a shared container shipment, and imported a very decent numbers of touch screen monitor. It was all my savings at the time.

But the very week the container landed, I heard that a big player in Computer Village had already brought in 2 full containers. And to my shock, he was selling them at nearly half my landing cost.

I contacted suppliers in China to confirm if I had been overcharged, they all said I got a fair deal. So how was he selling so cheap? After digging deeper, I was told that some of these businesses are funded with illegal money. For them, it’s not about profit, it’s about moving cash back into Nigeria quickly.

That’s how I lost almost everything. 2018 was hell. I scrambled to sell off the stock any way I could just to get some money back.

I believe there are many of us like this and this kind of practice doesn’t just hurt people like me, it destroys fair competition and legitimate businesses. But instead of calling it out, we hide under tribal sentiments. It’s not about stereotyping a whole group, we know there are lots of legit Igbos and hard working igbos but let’s be honest, many of these cases come from tribe and we ignore to face this reality... and it’s ruining both our economy and reputation

While OP might be partly true, but it’s not the full story if you ask every man above 30. Many women are naturally drawn to older partners, and some even find them more appealing than younger guys and this has nothing to do with money... growing up, my immediate elder sister won't date you if you are not above 30, she believes younger guys plays lot of games and for some other weird reasons, she prefers the matured mustaches and stuffs, this my sister later got married immediately after university , she didn't even serve before the 35 year old Banker married her as a virgin.
