godlyguy:Surprises me that you still can't fathom that Oando is the latest trend in the oil and gas industry, taking into consideration the backing of the presiden... Before the end of 2025, you will be amazed of how the Oando story has transformed, that is why those that see the vision earlier key into it and are making millions. On comparison, never say never, afripud was once incomparable with UCAP, but today UCAP is the oga. Same goes for Okomu and Presco, e.t.c 1 Like |

Streetinvestor2:Does Oando has anything good in the past? But lately it returned more than 200% in less than 2 months. I talked about Japaul here when it was trading at 27k and people ignore it because of Japaul's past antecedents but ignoring the latest developments that tends to move it astronomically, the same stock moved from 27k to N2 under a year thereafter. Same goes to Transcorp that was recommended here by others when it was less than N1 and people ignore it, saying Tony is a cowboy that will not pay more than 1k dividend. Same Wale that people are now calling names has returned millions to many lately in capital appreciation and I know one day Wale too will be the toast of the media who will continue to hail him as a master who turn around the fortunes of Oando. Their is no need calling anybody MH. We should always encourage each other to come up with their stock picks, and whether anyone buy it is their cup of tea and DD. We all have one way or the other to pick our stock. Besides, this forum is Nigeria Stock Exchange Market Pick Alert (NSEMPA) and not TA, FA, SA, charts pick alert only. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Mankind2024:Commendation for the write-up. But then, the bolded can only take place if the government is part of the corruption circle. Every contract/agreement has a clause and ways to nullify it legally. Simply put, the present government is a part of the corruption circle, hence the continuation of the status quo. 1 Like |

crownprince2017:@streetinvestor2 is right with the questions he has been asking so far. Ellah Lakes has been doing audio farming for some years now without any feasible plant on the ground. If you talk about Okomu and Presco, you can visibly see their farms in Edo State with lots of palm and rubber trees. Investors will reckon with Ellah lakes stock when the activities of their farms start reflecting in their financial result. Period. 6 Likes 1 Share |

megawealth01:He once expressed his personal opinion that he thinks Oando will delist. But then, with the way I am seeing things, I doubt if Wale has the intention to delist Oando from NGX. The Wale that I know would have had no problem delisting Oando if he want to do it because he would have hasten/fast track the court processes towards it, remember this is Nigeria and the person we are talking about is a close ally of the presid... In addition, if Oando still want to delist in the near future, they wouldn't have made any effort/statement to release the 2022 & 2023 AFS after they were suspended by the JSE. 2 Likes |

immortalcrown:This is the most meaningful contribution of alumni association. I finished secondary school in the early 80's, so my secondary school alumni association is a very strong one. We have done so many meaningful projects for our secondary school, like sinking of borehole, renovating dilapidated school building, providing textbooks for the school library, standard lockers/chairs for classrooms, donation of sport wears for the school football/volleyball team amongst other things. In addition, we attend wedding ceremonies organized by members for their children and provided moral and financial support to each other in the areas of job employment, award of contracts. The house I built in Ibadan last year was given to an alumni member... in fact the list of help we render is endless. 3 Likes |

emmaodet:As a layman, the best way to identify cross deal for example is: If you are using morgan itrade platform, You check the total offer of a company and you see 10 million units, while Bids amounts to 7 million units. Then from nowhere you start to see deals of 24 million units, 30 million units etc taking place that were not placed on the offer/bid board of that same company and also without any of the current offer/bids being touched, that is surely cross deals 4 Likes |

Princkez:Quite an improvement. Bringing the total dividend for 2023 financial year to 210k as against 150k paid in 2022. This is a good omen for the banking sector. But then, the market has its own mind to say if the increase in dividend is sufficient enough to sustain the price! |

If you are making huge financial progress as a boss, you owe it a duty to carry your workers along. If you build castle, try and build at least a bungalow for your workers. The idea of you not owing them salary does not hold water. Salary are not meant to make someone rich but to sustain his living. 10 Likes |

https://www.nairaland.com/8031235/cbn-insists-banks-cant-pay This has been the pattern and policy of CBN when banks is about to release, or has released their result indicating forex gains. Thereafter, this news will depress the market (especially banking stock) for a while before picking up again. The coming week will indicate if the same scenario will repeat itself. 1 Like |

Kwibaba:This simply means that for example: if Zenith Bank close at N46 today and declare N2 as dividend with same today as qualification day. By tomorrow, Zenith will open trading @ N44 meaning that NGX has removed the N2 dividend from Zenith stock share price. Then by the close of market same tomorrow, Zenith was able to gain N2 to close @ N46, that means all the Zenith bank shareholders that received the N2 dividend just got like awoof money because the N2 dividend they received as dividend was recovered by the stock that same tomorrow to close at same N46 it initially open trading in the morning. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Nvestor02:Put aside religion and answer my question. Who are the ancestors of the Palestinian that were occupying the land before the advent of the Jews? I already told you that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses (All Jews) were all connected to that land, before Joshua and other Jews went to occupy the land more than 2000 years ago. Who and what are the names of the Palestinian ancestors and descendant occupying it before the Jews were there? Give us their names. I challenge you to answer this question because you seem not to know history. As a matter of fact, Israel was the one permitting them to stay where they never belongs. If I were Israeli leader, I will push all of them to Jordan and Iran where they belong. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nvestor02:You must be an extre.mist to still utter this comments taking into consideration that knowledge is free and at the palm of your finger but you blindly refused to learn. Did the palestinian tell you they want a land of their own and were they not given a nation in the 1947 peace accord and they refused. All they want is to destroy the Jews. We know Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as the ancestor of the Jews, down to Moses, king David and others that are connected to that land dating to more that 2000 years ago. I challenge you to mention the names of the ancestors of the palestinian that were occupying that land from time immemorial. Go and read history, nobody has ever succeeded in destroying the Jewish people. From the Persian, to the Roman etc, the Jews has always come out victorious because they are God's people. Be careful about your utte.r.ance against them because you will also meet your disas.ter if you don't stop. |

As for the naira/dollar discussion, it is relative and has much to do with where you are coming from, and your current position. For example, from 1st January 2023 till 30 January 2024, my portfolio in stocks appreciated by 384%. During same period (January 2023 - 30 January 2024) the dollar appreciated by less than 200% (from around N700/$ to N1,500/$). So, with this narrative, I am better with my stock investment than being on dollar holding. Moving forward, the dollar is now selling @ N1,600/$, and the highest price I see the dollar in January 2025 is N3,000/$, which is less than 100% appreciation. The crucial question to ask is, if one can make more than 100% appreciation in its portfolio between now and January 2025. As for me, I think I can make it. So, I don't need any dollar investment for now. * dollar rate quoted is more of black market rate 12 Likes |

PuristForest:Thanks for your submission, I appreciate. In the NGX, never say never. That is why I will not argue your position. The price touching N40 may happen if the NGX as a whole is bearish for days. But personally, I doubt if it will go lower than N48 until the consumation of Dangfoods. In addition, I see NASCON coming out with good Q4 result that will sustain the price above N50. 1 Like |

Those that doesn't want to miss opportunities are silently buying NASCON at current price. Though I am yet to get all the units I want, but I intend to wait for the release of DS result which in my opinion may likely bring the price of both DS and NASCON down a little, by then I will buy DS and more NASCON. As a reminder, don't forget @customstreet submission on both stocks. Therefore, I advise that you strategically position yourself for the harvest. |

Locotrader:It was actually the CBN that started the commotion with their policy on forex to banks. The memo leaked to market operators early in the week and that was why the insiders rushed to sell their holdings. If you could remember that the same scenario played out when banks released 3rd Quarter result and CBN brought instruction about not paying divident with forex gains. The market is controlled by demand and supply. Many people also rushed to sell too after seeing massive supply. It was after the banks responded well to the memo that the market rebounds. But then, not all is uhuru yet because we don't know the policy guidelines CBN will still come out with on a later day. 2 Likes |

222Martins:Well said. You have passed your message. Personally, I do not see anything fake in what you have done. They do that during public auction too. You can only do that in stocks that are not particularly liquid. Why not go and put fake offers in Dangcem now or banking stocks and see how far. Beside that, there are times I will try and buy a stock and see another good opportunity somewhere, then withdraw my offer and take the money somewhere, will you call that fake offers too? 6 Likes |
