makes me wonder how they know. the embassy tells them ? or VFS tells them. in one way or the other ,I believe campus France have a tiny weeny bit in visa approvals for students

Dispatched to the embassy sms- Aug 9th

Dispatched from embassy to vfs sms- Aug 14th.

Passport delivered - Aug 15th.

Validity - 1 year .

Ii was told it will take 5-7 working days in Abuja and 8-10 working days in Lagos but because they no longer give the option of pick up but only courier . It may make sense to add 1-2 days extra for delivery .

recently this hasn't been the case ooo especially for student Visa. the wait time spans into weeks now

wowwww congratulations oooo. I tap into your testimony ! so it took 6 weeks!. woww. I'm just counting my third week. I have no idea if form A still works . I paid part of my school fees through blackmarket after the naira devaluation.

I went for my vfs appointment and biometrics on August 1st and did submissions and visa payments that day. Today August 9th I got an email that my processed passport has been sent to ups for dispatch to me. It's really quite fast o but I don't know what to think like this, does the quick processing meaning anything weird? I'm really scared and don't know what to expect

It says it has been received at the france embassy and is still being processed.. i even called but same response.
Two other persons i got to know, theirs took a month plus as well.
But mine is the longest so far.. six weeks and counting.

Yeah i paid livin france 99 euros for a certificate, but didn’t end up using it as i was advised to use the one from safehouse instead.
I still haven’t heard from vfs. Its over three weeks now. Still waiting on them

with this increase in forex , POF Don become wahala . is it compulsory that the leftover school fee must be included in the POF ? although it didn't say anything of such in the Visa requirements. all it state is that 615 x 12 month.

Thanks for the response. But the reason I'm alarmed is becaused I lashed out and parad at the officer doing the process for me. Its almost 6months now, no passport but one excuse or the other only to track my application and see that all is unticked. To be honest, I'm extremely worried.

Please what could be the problem here. I've been tracking my application for a while now and it has been on production stage. the person assisting me in the process checked today and said its not ready. Lo and behold I tracked it not quite long and saw that everything has been unticked. What could be the problem. Someone please advice

Please did you do your verification on the day of capturing or you did verification/opening of file on the same day you were scheduled to do capturing?

Timeline

Passport Renewal
64 pages/ 10 years
Amount: NGN70,000
Paid: 30th of May 2022.
Captured: 4th of August 2022
Passport received: 17th of October 2022

Issue date: 1st of September (This simply means my passport was lounging with them until they were ready to part ways with it ) now the 9th of September I have on my slip as official collection date makes perfect sense now but e be like say na as the spirit direct for them or there may be other processes it needs to go through after production.

No text message, application tracker not updated until passport was received and I simply tracked out of curiosity after I got home and saw it has been updated.

The real truth? There is no fast track generally especially in Lagos passport offices, however, there are levels to these things as a few of those officers based on their level or unit within the NIS may be able to fast track for you (so don’t come for me on how your contact helped you within 2 hours )

Most of them will just collect your money and be posting you. At the end of the day, you will get your passport about the same time as team DIY.

Today some were lamenting about how they paid for DIY and were yet to get their passport while some lamented on how they were just getting their passport today after the fast track. Mind you these are people who captured about the same time as I did, some even way earlier than I did.

If it’s not a matter of urgency, don’t waste your money, just go via the DIY method, as a matter of fact if we all stop encouraging them to be corrupt, life will be easier for everyone.
