IDENNAA: So , because David Alaba donated money the whole world has to stand still ? We have thousands of Nigerian players who have investment running into billions that employ thousands of Nigerians , but we don't hear about it.
Now , Alaba donated money 13 million dollars and that should close the conversation o, the value of foreign borns. That doesn't do it and Nigeria shouldn't be having open defecation problems if your government and the electorate aren't madd.
If David Alaba like let him donate his scrotum Aribo will still be critiqued after every game in GWG. So , y'all better start planning your next line of action.
No sacred lambs around here! Nobody else but you could have this dark evil opinion. |

Triniti: I don’t know how long it takes to switch allegiances from one country to the other, what I’m saying here is that I don’t like the way Pinnick goes about it.
Let the guys that are passionate about playing for us be given an opportunity , then leave the ones using the whole country to catch cruise.
There are more talented footballers in Nigeria than the whole of England, If the federation can invest in the league and harness its potentials, we won’t be begging any mediocre players to come play for us.
Super eagles is a big brand. If things are done right, all these boys will be the ones clamoring to put on the GWG. You may find it hard to believe ,I think ( l could be wrong) but I have known Amaju for a bit of time. With respect you really don't know what he does in England. Who are the mediocre players you are talking about, please name them one by be one❓ There are more people in Nigeria than the UK and should be more footballers than the UK. Talent and potential not nurtured, developed and supported will amount to nothing unfortunately. You are talking optimistic projection not in reality of the present day situation. I think you should review your approach and not ASSUMPTIVE in the negative. There are more potential professors in Nigeria than the UK . But in reality our government does not invest in its human capital and as a consequence there is not. The Bible says "God is not mocked, What a man sows he will reap"If we plant peanuts we are not going to harvest Yam Sorry but this the TRUTH. |

IDENNAA: You cant say people who are working to bring respite to their families are "desperate" , its shows you are obviously not connected to the Nigerian realities. Its is a very poor country with an ocean of difference between the rich and poor.
Sir , these my long suffering Nigerian brothers are not desperate but poor , ignorant and hopeless. I will always stand up for my impoverished Nigeria brothers and sisters.

As well as a few other teams in the top five leagues of Europe. However, on account of his outstanding consistent top level performances, he decided to follow the money in Saudi who offered him £135k a week. Triniti: You need to tone it down with your disgust for foreign born players, For someone like you who lives abroad, you keep contradicting yourself, imagine tomorrow, your own child is denied an opportunity here in Nigeria for being born abroad, how would you feel?
I hate Amaju touring Europe, begging some mediocre players to come play for us, but the ones with quality & passion should always be allowed to represent us whenever there’s an opportunity.
Minus Akpoguma, none of the foreign born players in this present team toyed with our emotions, they all came when they were invited.
You need to cut these guys some slacks, none of them choose their birth place, otherwise, don’t cry foul when such treatments is melted out to your offspring in the nearest future. I think that is a Misconception. What do you consider begging to be You should appreciate the socio cultural and economic dynamics are very different in the context of football in England and the Europe. For many not all but a good number of our footballers it's a question of literally life and death. There is no other alternative to making it to in life, than to make it in Football. Even the concept of "JAKPA" . Further highlights the phenomenon, university of graduates are wilfully lined up on the shores of Libya to play lottery with their lives on the perilous Mediterranean sea to get to Europe An English Nigerian origin football player already doing well and on track in a good football academy in England , does not need the Nigerian national team to progress his career. That not withstanding many have a clear cut indentity and affinity with Nigeria. And want to play for Nigeria. Sometimes the conduct of the NFF officials has not been helpful. On the other hand the players in Nigeria use the SE including the youth system predominantly to progress their careers to Europe. As a consequence , they are very desperate and they are willing to ABSOLUTELY do anything that NFF officials tell them to do. That will include slave contracts with the NFF officials preferred agents. From here Godfatherism was birthed in the NFF and has become a full grown adult. I will ask you one question, do you honestly believe in it takes three years to make a change of allegiance with FIFA from England to Nigeria. Every other change of Allegiance has taken max 4 weeks, Zaha and Caulker come to mind players who already had senior England caps. I can speculate in the negative because there is nothing positive about it. Finally, hypothetically speaking , if our U17 players came to England and played a game and afterward were offered lucrative contracts at Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, etc But with the proviso that they must change allegiance to England, how many do you think will say No❓ Oh I should add Amaju does not your Europe to beg players, there are a lot more things he does that have nothing to do with football. I can assure you. |

chrisooblog: I can't speak for other people but on my own part I voted not just based on club achievements but also impact with the national team.
Taking both club form and national team performances into consideration holistically I think Osimhen more than merits being named player of the year.
Kudos to Onuachu he had an awesome year just think Victor was better. *modified* For best striker I choose KC I tend to look at goals in the league as my core unit of measurement. Then it seems you are looking at last season and this season together. My approach would be present continuous, that's more reflective of the HERE and NOW. Most clubs will loose and gain player's over the summer even a change of Manager in some clubs. What that means the dynamics have changed. As a consequence , players who have limited capacity oto adapt and change may find some changes to their advantage or disadvantage. New players can mean a loss of your position as well. All the reasons why last season performance is not always reflective of the HERE and NOW. For instance Demerai Grey has not been a prolific goals scorer. Has gone to Everton and scored more goals in his entire career at this stage of the season, gone just halfway. So this this Season one could day Demerai is a baller in the HERE and NOW. |

mostob: before the AFCON, we already debated on this but the fact that people like you were already against the lad from the onset will make you turn a blind eyes to what he offers. To your question, Onyeka is capable of playing as a DM and as an 8. In the current SE squad, if Ndidi is out, he will be the undisputed DM to start. This is to tell you he is here to deputise for Ndidi and can also slot in as a CM or B2B in case there is need for it. Must there be a need for back up before Nwakali is called up? Rohr listed only 3 pure midfielders in the squad so why was it a crime to call up Nwakali when the opportunity showed up? Because in the first instance , selection to the SE is and should be based on outstanding consistent top level performance in your club and league. He absolutely none of these things. In the second instance playing Midfield is not a "straight jacket" it's not about being rigid but fluid and adaptable. Finally, there are no too many Nigerian players that are doing way better than him in better leagues and clubs. |

Meliforme: Peter Olayinka is the dude i even wished would start against Egypt.
Why?
Because no winger in S.E is better defensively plus he is also creative.
Why didn't he start?
It is an important game and i think he is a newbie, his teammates will get to understand him with time, team cohesion and chemistry is paramount.
You will always reason along ethnic lines, i will not tell you to stop, it is your life, it is your decision. I refused to reply to kog45 when he asked for my lineup, because he is navigating the same route.
And let me tell you something, Moses Simon is a good player, you can tell from his exploits at Nantes, MOTM performance shouldn't even be far from a player like Simon , but as far as the LW is concerned, he is not the best we have got . There is Ejuke, there is Onyekuru.
The best is what i will always clamour for, irrespective of ethnic affiliations, not minding if i am the only one calling for it. What makes your chosen player's the best ❓ I don't know if you have not noticed but football has progressed in the last two decades. Dribbling and playing to the gallery with skills and show boating will not get you anywhere. Ejuke is that type of player he may find it hard to go higher unless he changes.. However, end product, football intelligence, work rate, team discipline garnished with technical ability, skill and dribbling WILL get you FAR. Considering Onyekuru club form it's not been great and or the league he is playing in Greek league rated 20 in Europe. On the other hand Onyekuru has had some very good multi million £ transfer. From Everton to Monaco to Olympiacos. He must have made millions but his club performance are not good. Although he is laughing all the way to the bank. . |

Abi, is it not the same Onyeka that dominated against Mancity? The narrative here is mind boggling, we are literally turning black to white and red to blue to in trying to justify what cannot be justified. We have two proven and tested EPL players who play Midfield at a far higher Quality, skill and technical level as well as work rate and tempo than what you will find in the moi moi Segunda Division. Yet they are on the bench for somebody to come and play long ball. That's arrant nonsense. It seems the shenanigans that happen with our indeginous coaches seem to have come up once again. |

People like supernerd with personality disorders rarely seek treatment. They will continue to blame others, be the victim, and lie and manipulate to get what they want. Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism |

I am watching Cote d'Ivoire Vs Sierra Leone.
On paper Cote d'Ivoire should really be favourite apart from goal keeper they have arguably the best team in paper.
Zaha and Pepe on the wings Haller as the No. 9 (highest goal scorer in the Eredivisie with Ajax.)
They should win this very dogged Sierra Leone team at least 3-0
In midfield they have Kessie in the midfield and Aurier and Baille in defence. This is a very good team.
I don't know if they will beat Algeria but it will be tough, nonetheless both teams will Qualify in their group.
Zaha has just got a penalty, a team I hope we avoid. |

In Camp, it has been established already. Only that Awaziem nurses an injury now. If that's true , which I very much doubt. Fabulous, let them do it week in week out in their club and league and then they will not continuously be in the back waters of European football leagues or in the obscurity of the Segunda Division. |
