Say the number of things but the fact is that when the news broke out, he was nobody in the game.
Secondly, do you know all the guys that participated in the program?
Remember, his agent is Babawo Mohammed. Like the man who discovered Mikel on the streets. I think the man that discovered Awaziem.
So leave that side. Let me reiterate that I don't think they were on trial, I don't want to say it's a lie. But I am about 95% certain they were not on an official club sanctioned trial. The agent whatever his name is, has completely misrepresented the situation, it's very normal with agents particularly coming from Africa. I know the structure and format of an official trial at Liverpool FC, in depth. |

The one area we are arguably better is in the goalkeeper department. Apart from that everything else is up for debate. |

Two top teams with good history, but currently pretenders. Teams like that are overhyped and easy to beat, and when you beat them it will boost your confidence, add to your momentum, increase your rankings and make you more feared. Ghana is like Arsenal and Tottenham although Arsenal may have the upper hand , anything could happen. Ghana will never be easy to beat we must come highly prepared. Ghana at the moment is a wounded Lion, very dangerous. They will have Salisu in defence, yesterday he was not just outstanding but AMAZING against Manchester city yesterday. |

Nigerian Talents Await Liverpool Decision After Trials; Ex-Porto Starlet Njoku, Suleiman Catch The Eye https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/82601Talents%20-%20Copy.jpg Nigerian talents Jacob Njoku, Chidera Ejike, Suleiman Muhammad and Charles Ezeh ended their trials with English Premier League side Liverpool on Sunday, May 8, and will discover in the coming weeks if they will be offered contracts.
According to Jos-based intermediary Babawo Mohammed, ex-Porto youth-teamer Jacob Njoku and Gee Lec Football Academy winger Suleiman Muhammad caught his eye during a test game but a decision on whether or not the players will be offered deals has not been made.
“They finished the trials this Sunday, Liverpool will have to go through the report before deciding whether to sign them,”said Babawo Mohammed to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I watched one of their trial games, they all did well, most especially Suleiman and Njoku. They will return to Nigeria next week.”
If eventually they are offered contracts, the youngsters will join the likes of Sheyi Ojo, Jordon Ibe, Tiago Ilori and Ovie Ejaria, who all have Nigerian descent, on the books of the Reds.

Kog45: Okay....he is a top scout for Arsenal youth system right. There are a lot of scouts. Former manager of Reading think his name is was Brian was at an one state head of recruitment. Under recruitment you could have over 500 scouts at different levels. Then you have analysts and also you have . Then you have coordinators who may make collective and or individual reports from scouts. It differs somewhat from club to club but the bigger the club the more detailed and expansive the scouting network and set up. |

drDoom3: We got the second easiest team to play, Ghana.
I love this draw. Mali will get to go to the World Cup for the first time, this generation deserve it.
Senegal and Algeria will have to prove why they are the best two teams in Africa currently, it is a wake-up call for both.
Morocco are also doing well for themselves, they will represent Africa well.
For us, well everyone knows we always go to world cups. If Eguavoen is at the helm, forget it. We will beat them home and away especially with the crisis they have right now. Forget all those talk of Ghana always play good against us, that’s not how football works nowadays. In our times, the team with the better tactics and/or better players win, we have both. I am watching a certain 22 year old Salisu central defender for Ghana as we speak. He is an iron gate in defence against Manchester city , it's 1-0 to Southampton and he is at heart of all things good about Southampton in this game. What I can't understand is why he was not at the AFCON. Google is your friend, his brother complained that the Ghana FA officials asked him to pay a bribe before he will be selected for the U17. A very familiar story in sub Saharan Africa football administration. There are a few others that will probably be in the team like Felix Gyan ( Roma). Ghana will be a very wounded Lion, if possible rather avoid Ghana. It will not be easy . |

Finito. Our efforts remain focused inside the country.
That is how we will build a superior pool of players Your statement above verbatim, which I responded to is blatantly prejudiced, biased and bigoted. That's your concept of fair play and a merit based system. Iwobi got into the SE before he had played one game for Arsenal first team, I guess his Uncle JJay,may be a factor. samtol4: Well said sir, It is not automatic as some folks glamour for. Once you declare to play for Nigeria, it is now left for the coach to decide if you fit in. After all most of them use Nigeria as second or third choice. If they were so good they will prefer to play for England It is the NFF that selects you, but on what basis ❓ In reality your consistent, continuous , outstanding top level performances in your club and league should be the only YARDSTICK for national team selection. But in Nigeria the NFF see it differently. The question of whether it's 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice is irrelevant. How many of our players can get into the English team. Not everyone want to play for England , Oviemuno ftom day one has wanted to play for England him and quite a lot of others. But NFF politics and conflicting interests causes multiple issues. |

TheGoodJoe: Our doors are not close. Any foreign born that wants to play for us should make himself available. This will help us know. We can not start flying NFF officials to convince foreign borns to identify with us.
We should focus on channelling our efforts to harnessing our local talents as we did in the near past. With thorough scouting programs.
The door remains open to all.
Our efforts remain focused inside the country.
That is how we will build a superior pool of players. Your naked prejudice ,bias and refusal to instill a merit based system to anchor ⚓ team selection upon. Makes it impossible for someone to like you to understand and appreciate. There are now millions of Nigerians who live outside Nigeria that's a pool of talent that you simply cannot relate to. The door remains closed to those who want fair play and merit based selection. |

kingphilip: So for every youngster with Nigerian origin (over 10,000 as you stated in this thread sometimes ago) we should maintain a relationship with them?
How do you suggest we do that please? It's very simplistic. You pick out the ones that are outstanding consistent and on top of the game. That means some will move up some may move down. But when the time is right you invite them. But the problem is not the player's but the NFF. There is just too much Godfatherism and conflicting interests. So certain player's will be promoted to meet the interest of different stakeholders. NFF officials have relationship with players based on what is in it for them. You really cannot ignore these conflicting interests. Because they mitigate against the quest for the best possible players to be selected in the SE. |

it is not wise to reach out to foreign born talents...
it is better for them to be the ones to reach out same way Ashleigh Plumptre reached out, not all foreign borns identify with the country of their parents.
Nigeria also has a huge number of Nigerian born players to choose from...
the inferiority complex that made you say "You cannot wait until they start making waves and hope that by some dumb luck they will look your way. You will have to settle for the average ones."...
why can't they be "making waves" and still express their desire to play for the SE
why aren't Nigeria born players that are making waves like Samuel Adegbenro, Emmnuel Bonke, Simy and Akinkunmi Amoo called to the S.E You really lack knowledge and I am sorry quite ignorant. I have met persons of Nigerian origin who have never been to Nigeria but are able to speak fluent Igbo, Yoruba and Uhrobo. At the same time there are Nigerian born and resident children who have never left Nigeria, but cannot speak their local languages. You create relationship early but we don't. The reason is very clear there is no personal pecuniary advantage to be gained by our NFF officials and so they are not interested. You may find this hard to believe (Maybe),but I have reached out to NFF officials and had some discussions. I can see they are not really interested. |

Icon4s: K. Nwakili has always been a technically gifted player. He was also the free kick specialist in that U17 team. Himself Osimhen and Chukwueze were the standout players of that tournament, and I am glad to see that Nwakili has joined the other two at the next level. Our performances at U17 from 2013 to 2015 has started yielding fruits for the national team. The two sets alone produced: Ndidi (2013) Iheanacho (2013) Uzoho (2013) Awoniyi (2013) Osimhen (2015) Chukwueze (2015) Nwakili (2015) Good job from Manu Garba and Emma Amuneke. Imagine if this kind of production line continued with the 2017 and 2019 sets, the Super Eagles would have been better for it. The Current NFF Leadership really needs to take Youths football more seriously. Under Pinnick, focus has been more on the Super Eagles. Our youth teams have not done well under him and that will mean that the future of the SE would be hinged on foreign Borns which is not good for local football development. Ghana stopped doing well at Youths level ever since the MRI was introduced and that has started having it's ugly toll on their national team. I hope that will not be Nigeria's case in a couple of years to come when the current crop have started declining in form. We have so many aged players in that our defense (Awaziem being the youngest) and I think Qatar should be the last WC for a good number of them. We hope younger defenders would emerge soonest. I would not say so , they have just not been so successful in recent times. And don't get on our high horse's, Ndidi failed an MRI scan in 2013 and had to leave the squad. |

U sef I tire for u...it's like you love seeing Nigeria been embarrassed by some of this innit boys Ask yourself something why does it take so long ONLY where Nigeria is concerned for a simple administrative change of allegiance with FIFA. Other countries it takes less than 3/4 weeks other countries in Africa being Sierra Leone Caulker and Cote d'Ivoire (Zaha and Boga ) When you can find an answer to that . I will tell you that the greater fault is with Nigeria. When we invited Nwakali to play in an inconsequential friendly with Athletico Madrid Eze was already making waves when Nwakali had not even made a splash. It took Nigeria three years to remember him, in that period England came calling. Meanwhile waiting in the wings were Oviemuno and lorfa and a few others. We actually do our inviting on the pages of newspapers we don't do much in creating relationships with players. And yes I've talked to quite a few of these players, so it's not hearsay. |

Mujtahida: It is actually a big let down that we don't have wingers who can deliver pin point killer crosses. A cross well delivered is like a by-pass. It shorten the road to the goal. I've seen some excellent goals from great crosses during this Afcon but none of them from our team. It's a shortcoming that has to be worked on. Unfortunately if you can't do it week in week out in your club and league with all the facilities, coaching staff , sports scientists ,etc After probably several seasons of first team football. Then you think 3 weeks in the SE will make you a master at it, l doubt this very much. I've seen Ademola do left and right foot crosses routinely, same with Aina . It's really a basic requirement for most player's whatever the position but an absolutely must have for a winger / wing back . In nearly all academies this is taught at the most early level. |

kellycute: take your bias opinion of Nwakali and shove it in your ass. The people who likes your bias agaisnt him should be ashame of themselves allowing you to infest them with your hate for anything Naija born. It is not a rocket science that you are always against any Naija born players that excelled from our youth set up. Osimhen, Nwakali and the next in line will be Amoo.
The pattern is very clear for those of us with eyes to see. You hate any players from our youth set up especially when they are fan favorite. Take your bias opinion and shove it in your ass! Let me indulge your reprobate mind and your imaginary prejudiced assumptions. I am also AGAINST according to you, Moses, Awoniyi ,Iwobi and Dennis who I have commended with objectivity, came from where , Peckham in your mind. . AGAINST is your twisted self birthed perception. Because l will not join you, in going over the top about your favourite Nigerian players, in your mind that means AGAINST. I am AGAINST Mediocrity, Favouritism and Nepotism. And I am all for constructive criticism which is the key component that makes players better not going OTT when player does the ordinary. But for those with preconceived notions and negative bias , there eyes are darkened with prejudice and BIAS, like yours. It's obvious you don't know what BIASED means, let me remind you , "lnclination or prejudice for or against one person or group, especially in a way considered to be unfair " I gave very intrinsically clear key performance indicators that are used to measure a Midfielders performance. You ignored those to present your OTT hype. I even acknowledge the three passes one very good and the rest just your average routine pass forward. But on every other indicator he was poor, and in some areas very poor. I Made it clear the contribution of Frank Onyeka ( who has upped his game on arrival in EPL) much to my surprise. Was profound he brought intensity, stamina, backtracking , tackles, physicality all in few paltry minutes. I rated Frank Onyeka higher than Nwakali before this game and I still do even now. He brings way more than Nwakali. It beggars belief that he has been made to sit on the bench. My deductions remain the same Nwakali is a mediocre player. Given undue favouritism by the powers that be for way too long in the NFF. But it's nothing new this is quite normal in the NFF. We are all entitled to be our favourites, mine are Ndidi, Aribo and Onyeka in the midfield. Finally, l have been commending Osimhen for year's but not the way you do, balanced and fair with constructive criticism. |
